      great video friend you know many brazilians from sao paulo and rio migrate to the south and florionopolis and bring those problems from big cities too medium cities like florionopolis just look at florionopolis videos from 2010 and below it was all european before the nordestinos came look up this " migracao nordestino em florionopolis " look it up same thing is happening to porto alegre and curtiba also sao paulo and rio use to be very european but nordestinos came from the northeast and gave sao paulo some problems like slums and more diverse population look up this right now im telling the truth ! im not racist look up this " migracao nordestina em sao paulo " look up this " sao paulo 1978 and rio de janiero 1932 rio and sao paulo was different more european ! due to the fact brazilians from bahia came to rio and sao paulo but great video friend

    One of the biggest attractions of São Paulo is its delicious food influenced by immigrants from all over the world! For instance, at the Japanese area, there are lots of restaurants from all over Asia! Amd at the stall at the metro exit there are all kinds of tasty Asian snacks. At the Ibirapuera park you missed the best look out of the city: om top of the tall nuilding of the Museum of Contemporary Art there is a big veranda with a fantastic view of the city and there is a bar with top caipirinhas and an excelent restauranto with Brazilian cuisine! Butantâ Snake Park and museums of tropical insects! The park preserves the natural rain forest of the São Paulo area called the Atlantic forest> Very interesting! The city boastas one of the worlds biggest number of restaurants! Trip advisor listed 23.000, but there are more - without counting fast food!

      Yeah there is so much to do and see in Sao Paulo. I did not have nearly enough time to see and do everything but I definitely would go back and check out more things. Thanks for commenting 👍

    SP is a slow burner, it takes time to get to know its charms. It's definitely a far safer city than Rio

    • @nickmusttravel

      I am still on the fence about whether it is safer than RIo or not. I think in some ways yes but in some ways no. They each have their own dangers. But Sao Paulo is definitely a slow burner and takes time to see it's hidden gems.

      Rio and São Paulo are similarly dangerous, the main difference is that Rio is poorer and it’s crime is more concentrated and condensed in certain places whereas São Paulo’s crime is more spread out if that makes sense

      @@nickmusttravelI totally disagree with you here. I prefer the modern and posh areas around the Pinheiros River (like Avenida Cidade Jardim, Brooklyn, Avenida Faria Lima, Itaim Bibi, Jardim Europa, Jardins, etc). The skyline of the Marginal Pinheiros (Pinheiros Side Highway) puts 99% of American cities to shame. Go figure.

    • @nickmusttravel
      @nickmusttravel  Před 6 měsíci

      @@ThomasJr There are lots of decent neighborhoods in Sao Paulo I just happen to like ave liberdade. And yes Pinheiros definitely puts a lot of American cities to shame when it comes to skyline but it really is just a giant concrete jungle which I am already not much of a fan of lol. But still a fun city to be in for a couple of days.

  • @ThomasJr
    @ThomasJr Před 6 měsíci +3

    Sao Paulo used to be my favorite city in the world (and I know many). But I realized something in all these years living abroad. The reason why people may not like a city is because they are strangers to it. After such a long time living out of Sao Paulo I eventually found it boring and dull the last time I went there. Reason is cause my circle of friends and social life were gone. So even though most Paulistas love their city they may not understand that foreigners don't feel the same way as they do.

    • @nickmusttravel
      @nickmusttravel  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I personally think Sao Paulo is a nice place just to visit for a few day but I would never want to live there full time.

    • @ThomasJr
      @ThomasJr Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@nickmusttravel I understand. As I grew up in SP it used to be my favorite city in the world . I lived in Canada for 5 years and hated it. Too depressing, too cold, I didn't have the social circle that I used to have. I liked SP because I had a life there, unlike in Canada. But from that experience I totally get why foreigners would not feel the same way about SP as I do (or did), you only like a place if you have a circle of friends, if you have a life in that place. If you didn't live in the place you will not be attached to it, as you didn't have any pleasant experiences in it and you didn't form a bond with it, it will not represent anything for you. The way you feel for SP I felt for Canada and all the US cities I lived in, I just lived in them for the sake of necessity, not bc i loved them. Living in a foreign place is usually not enjoyable for many people (but it depends on the circumstances too). I think only the privileged/wealthy Brazilians who moved to the US with their families enjoy living here. I hear many complain though. People who are lonely in a foreign land don't love their new homes. Bust most people don't know this until they try.

    I hope you can come back to São Paulo next time with "calmer" 😅. Many people call it the stone jungle or "the New York of Latin America" due to the fact that it is such a multicultural city (in addition to having the largest Japanese community outside of Japan, there is a strong Italian, Portuguese, Syrian- Lebanese , Jewish , Korean ....) and at the same time so chaotic, noisy, everyone seems to be rushing to work and she really DOESN'T STOP! so much so that it was elected as having one of the best nightlife metropolises in the world with many establishments such as bakeries, street foods, bars, clubs that are open 24 hours a day!. Regarding the Liberdade neighborhood: originally it was made to actually be a cityJapan neighborhood... but today it serves more like a cityAsia (with immigrants coming from countries like China and Korea that you could have known a little more about ours " little Seoul", visiting the Bom Retiro neighborhood which is not far from the central area or "Centro" as we speak in Portuguese, also very close to a mini neighborhood called Bixiga.... which is a kind of Little Italy that is inside another iconic neighborhood: the famous "Bela Vista" where its "Avenida Paulista" is open to pedestrians on Sundays with lots of outdoor art). The majority of the Japanese community preferred to go to other neighborhoods in the neighboring areas of São Paulo such as the "South Zone" neighborhoods (Paraíso, Vila Carrão, Vila Mariana and Saúde) due to the absurd prices that our country unfortunately faces along with the factor of having become very touristy as you have already noticed.
    I'll leave below some sites in Portuguese that can help you on where and what to do in "Sampa" and I also can't wait to have other videos of you here in Brazil

    Eu passei os últimos 16 anos morando no Canada e EUA então quando eu vejo o estilo do BR e do brasileiro eu estranho pra caramba. A aparencia do povo, o jeito de ser, a atitude, etc. Mas essas partes de SP que ele mostrou são de 1o mundo. Aos trancos e barrancos, aos poucos e sempre o BR vai ficar cada vez mais desenvolvido. Mas a pobreza e a criminalidade precisa diminuir.
