  • Here's another original song done at our 2002 run of gigs at Seattle's Little Red Hen, great Honky Tonk right near Green Lake. I had Elvis in mind when I wrote it, and used to say I'd written it for Elvis, but he didn't live long enough to record it. Truth is I wrote it in 1983 (I think), so 6 years or a bit less than that after he was gone. I could hear it as Doo-Wop too, but haven't tried it that way. It's on my "Rockabilly Rhythm & Blues" CD.

Great video Marc, Doug is a good piano player & he should
play with Rockabilly Jim in my absence as he believes in Thunder Road so much. I was replaced when I left the Dusty 45's.

Thanks Thomas! Of course The Dusty's next piano player Micah also moved on to bigger and better things. He's in Nashville now, and was playing with Margo Price and organ at baseball games last I heard.

@@MBristol49 I remember Micah he was good & a nice guy I sat in once doing 1 song with the Dusty's at the Owl & Thistle & later again sat in on a solo gig Micah did after he left the Dusty 45's, this was in 2005.
