I might be one of the few but I watch Euro football Daily a lot more than Football Daily because a lot of other channels focus almost exclusively on the Prem. EFD was always a breath of fresh air hearing about young European talents or exciting under the radar teams like Union Berlin.
I hope that doesn’t mean it’ll become less about European football, and more premier league centric. If you’re merging the two channels and football daily is the more EPL centred one, I hope they diversify it

Agreed! I mainly watch Euro FD, as the main one is way too Premier League centric. And Euro FD is just providing some elite tier videos!!

So agree with you - I mainly and prefer to watch Euro FD as those guys cover other leagues I so enjoy watching. Honestly getting tired of EPL (don't mind Championship that much)

With the reach and exposure due to the size of FD I think it’s the smart move. I sometimes miss EFD content as the algorithm doesn’t push it as hard as FD
I remember when this channel was first started back in 2016, around the time when I got into Football Daily. I don't watch EFD or Football Daily as much as I used to, but to see this channel end is honestly crazy to me. This channel has provided me with so many laughs and I'm honestly sad to see it go. We love you all, thank you for everything.

I always preferred EFD because of the depth of European analysis and I’m hoping that you guys moving the content over to FD doesn’t ruin that special factor. I always fed up of PL conversations and content- it’s everywhere- meanwhile the Bundesliga or Serie A isn’t. I’m hoping that you don’t become just a one channel system- as personally EFD was working well and I guess this means goodbye to the FD podcast channel etc. I can’t believe that Hamill leaving has anything to do with the downsizing of FD but it feels like it’s more than just a coincidence. It’s going to feel wrong never seeing a EFD video again but I hope this a goodbye and not a adieu!

I get that probably for cost reasons this makes most sense. Hope the amount of european coverage isn't reduced too much. Not interested in the EPL myself so this channel was a breath of fresh air! Either way, won't complain until I see what you all do with it. Good luck!
Great to hear continental is staying! That's the backbone of the channel IMO.
Usually when a youtuber or multiple people working on a channel decide to merge, or more commonly, split their channels, it ends up being a failure. However, I have a feeling that this FD and EFD merger will be a success because it just makes so much sense unlike most youtube stuff of this type. It should make work easier for the team and the EFD-themed content might get more views.

This is a solid idea - I had always wondered why it was split into two channels.
Wish you the best but im very skeptical, how are they going to fit continteal club, continetal extra, Zac's talking point, WNTT, Why your wrong, W&L, stat wars, explained series, scout report and sunday vibes. Unless your posting two content a day, then that would be dope. I also feel like with Hamil gone, maybe you guys dont want to post as many content as before. I always felt behind the scene Hamil was the reason a lot of content got made and posted on time, at least tried too(I might be wrong). Time will tell :)
They'll probably give more power to people like Dougie and Zach. Zach's been filling in on Sunday Vibes alot for the past year or so and also been filling in for Joe on WNTT occasionally. He's a decently big figure for Chelsea on social media too so it'd make sense to give him more power. Dougie's been headlining most of the stuff on EFD for a while now anyway, so I expect he'll be doing the same with FD too. Pat has also talked about his future previously so maybe their thinking is to merge to one channel to get everyone working together

@@joelullberg261 He said on Chris's last Sunday Vibes episode that he would eventually like to get into therapy. He said that's been his plan for awhile and he didn't even think he'd be in football talk for this long. Never mentioned when but I dont think its anytime too soon at least

Good to see that it's all coming under one umbrella now. But my feeling is it would've been better had you done it at the end of the season. New season, one channel, new content, would've been terrific. Nonetheless, chuffed for what's to come and see all my favourite presenters under one roof. ❤

The content quality on FD has gone up but the amount of content and hit an all time low:/ feels weird not having 2 videos a day consistently

The merging makes sense, I’m just concerned it’ll be premier league and England centric. EFD is always a relief as the England focus can be obnoxious and just more of the same.
What happened to extra-time podcasts has that been replaced with Pat's Why Your Wrong series?

Was it made known when this channel will officially stop uploading content, if it will be then deleted, if Euro Football Daily's already existing content will be moved over to the Football Daily channel or if this channel will remain due to the ad revenue but will stop uploading content?

Glad you saw my comment because your last was too Premier League biased not including Benfica and Bayern/Dortmund both season title botting was huge shame because theres world besides the Premier League like Portuguese, Belgian, Scottish, Dutch, German, Spanish and Italian leagues and overseas the deserve the same love as the Premier League gets regardless of their quality

This was the last EFD video ever on the EFD channel! It still doesn’t feel right! Ever since Hamill left- the FD network it’s been downsizing! It’s just sad that it’s true but despite being with for almost a decade now but I’m not longer liking FD anymore because if the direction it’s going. Less European football, more PL, more opinions-based conversation which is evident by the ‘roleplaying’ taking all the podcasts on Sunday Vibes and Monday Vibes is just a replicated version of it. It’s become more clickbaity and less thorough sports journalism like it was before. It feels like FD is destined to be like Copa90 - a former shell of what it was before (and I didn’t want that to happen but I guess times change for better or for worse) but we for sure we are losing something really special

dam this sucks lol. Would it not be possible to just have two separate teams of 3/4 individuals work on both channels? Then when fans and/or creators want to move to the other channel to make a video there could be alternatives.
I just thought a large part of having EFD was to have a more extensive and overall view of what’s happening in all of European football. I just don’t see how this doesn’t result in less content

Well, it’s hardly a celebration of the European Leagues. All you do is highlight certain players / coaches who are doing well and then discuss which Premier League side you think they should move to. It doesn’t seem to occur to you that they might like playing in where they are. Moreover you haven’t noticed that many players who come to the EPL seem keen to get away after 18 months or so.
Not sure that’s quite fair Simon. Don’t think that’s all this channel does…?!

I like the quiz and bonhomie. I understand that it’s an English show and therefore will be contextualised by the football we see the most of but there is a pervasive idea that a player hasn’t played at the highest level until they’ve been in the EPL. Haaland went from curio when at Dortmand to the best player in the world as soon as he arrived at City, I wonder what Mbappe thinks about that.

Merging the better and more successful channel into the worse and less successful channel, interesting. Euro Football Daily had more views with 25% the amount of subscribers.
I'm not sure where you are getting those stats from... because they aren't accurate!
@@EuroFootballDaily If we make an average of views in the last 6 videos, on Euro FD we get 47k, while FD gets 56K, so ~16% more (with "Stay Or Go" inflating the number). But the channel has 4x the amount of subscribers, so in terms of engagement Euro FD is better by 350%. It's a shame to throw away such good channel in terms of analytics, and how well it was doing in the CZcams algorithm.

To be fair, euro football daily is kinda overrated. Chris kinda spilled the beans that many don't research or watch European football and honestly it shows more n more. Same thing can be said with football daily talking about teams outside the top 10 this season

What is with that English exceptionalism? Yeah the premier league league but before the recent riches of the EPL English football had nothing on serie A.
