Glastenbury Wilderness - Green Mountain National Forest - VT

- An overnight adventure in the state of Vermont starting at the Long Trail / Appalachian Trail on Route 9 and going north to Glastenbury Mountain and camping at the Goddard Shelter. On Day 2 checking out the view from the fire tower, and heading south on the West Ridge Trail to Bald Mountain, and then a short road hike back to finish the loop. It's a bit of a slog-fest on Day 1 with the mud and rocks and roots, but it's all worth it because Day 2 has some great views and a beautiful trail getting up to Bald Mountain.

Thinking about doing this hike
Big fan of the channel, well recorded and edited. You missed a lookout spot on Bald mountain that was a little off the trail and gives you a nice view of Bennington.
Good to know, thanks for the tip! I must say I really enjoyed the trail up to Bald mountain. It was the best part of the whole loop.
how were the water sources on Day 2? Thinking of doing this when it's a little warmer, I did Bennington to North Adams in October this year
I don't recall there being any good water sources on Day 2, except at the Goddard shelter or at the bottom of Bald Mountain. But the trail was very enjoyable and not as strenuous as the LT, so it wasn't really an issue.
@@downtoearthadventures1528 thanks so much
