My wife and I were on vacation in Paris about ten years ago. We had a corner room on the upper floor of the Hotel Regina Louvre across from the Louvre Museum. We had decided to stay in one evening, so I went to a local shop and bought cheese, cold cuts, bread and some wine. We moved a tiny table out on the balcony to enjoy the food and the incredible view down the Rue De Rivoli. There was a radio in the room. I turned it on, and it was apparently tuned to a classic station. The first song that came on was this song by Edith Piaf. We realized it was a magical moment for us both, and something we will never forget. Thanks to Edith Piaf and Paris.

Without words, goosebumps, tears, emotion, a wonderful movie, an incredible and painful story.
Marion Cotillard just brilliant, maybe the best performance I've ever seen or in the top five.
Cinema and stories are the most beautiful art.

I think those actors and actresses on the set were actually crying during that scene. It was as if they weren't merely acting but actually getting emotional. And the actress did a superb job lip-syncing.

    Nothing at all
    I regret nothing at all
    Neither good things I’ve had
    Nor the wrongs
    I don’t care about that
    Nothing at all
    I regret nothing at all
    Can’t undo what’s been done
    Life goes on
    The past will not return
All my ups all my downs
    They’re all long gone
    Why ever would I want
    To relive the bygones
I have loved and I lost
    Though I’ve never been loved
    Never ever at all
    Time to start life anew
    Nothing at all
    I regret nothing at all
    Neither good things I’ve had
    Nor the wrongs
    I don’t care about that
    Nothing at all
    I regret nothing at all
For my life and my joy
    Will start anew
Once I am loved by you.

I started listening to Edith Piaf many many years back, she actually pulled me from EDM kind of music to this kind of music. Then there was a time when I didn't listen to her. Suddenly few days back I recalled how I used to like her singing. Then I came back to listen to her again and I got goose bumps once again. This kind of music never fades, it never gets old.
