This song has an amazing way of making you feel that no matter what is happening in your life, even if you feel like the sky is falling. That everything is gonna be okay and keep moving forward. As it always does.

I got to know your work through a youtube recommendation. I'm already a fan of your work.
Ď
I highly recommend checking out some of their other stuff if you haven't already. Here's a couple of links to their song "Nantes". Each version is amazing in its own way.

I heard this song the day it was uploaded and, since then, haven't spent a day without listening to it two-three times a day! Thank you Beirut!
I commented this so you would be reminded of this amazing song
After not thinking about Beirut even though they were my fav band for a while, after hearing about the Beirut explosion today, I now re-found my love of this band oddly enough.

The world is a beautiful place again, thank u Beirut❤️
Simplesmente amo essa música
Eu amo vocês... Me sinto calma toda vez que ouço
I searched the lyrics... was surprised how less it is :D
probably the reason why I like it so much: minimalism
so much harmony & love in the voice and the instruments
Hans Peter
that drummer guy makes me happy when I see his face.

Pedro Freitas I like every direction he's gone. Balkan or not so Balkan. Beirut can't do any wrong.

I love how they make a fool of themselves. makes me forget sadness and smile again
Não me canso de ouvir essa música.
Awesome, can't wait for the album.
I wasn't sure at first - it didn't grab me on first listen with the immediacy of anything on 'The Rip Tide', which I'm still playing to death. 2nd listen, and its growing on me fast. My beautiful Beirut - the only band to make me feel like I did when I first fell in love with music all those years ago. Welcome back, I've missed you so much, where you been
people keep complaining about Beirut missing their balkan folk music feel to them.
There are pros and cons to that.
The cons being. After awhile it will all sound the same and people will get tired of it. Example of a band that does the same thing over and over = Foo fighters. They were nice at first but its just been the same sound. same thing over and over and over and it gets repetitive and annoying after awhile.
The pros. Music is art. there are no rules, Music is about experimenting with your emotions. bringing these sounds together that make something sound beautiful. Like everything on this album and every album previously released by zach.
hes not here to make the same sound or the same album over and over, hes here because he has a passion for music and his passion leads him to experiment and try new things and see how he likes it. what he does and doesnt like.
and i think that is just beautiful zach. Godspeed you magnificent bastard.
people need to stop losing their shit over this albums new sound. he will come back with something different next time and it will be goddamn amazing. people want him to be more obscure because of their bullshit hipster ideologies. and thats coming from Good 'ole uncle hitler who had a pretty okay idea in the 30's and 40's.
hes mezmerized me from the first day i heard his street performance video Nantes. and he has continued to mezmerize to this day with his releases.
music is art. art is subjective. Just my view on this whole shitfest people are throwing
+Adolf Hitler what's your problem?and i'm not talking about beirut.
+aliki tounta elaborate.
This is the first song I've listened to in full by Beirut. The only way for a band to stay fresh and interesting is to keep changing their sound. Bombay Bicycle Club have done it, and that's why I love them so much. In fact, they're the reason I'm listening to this song right now. I listened to a playlist on Apple Music with Bombay Bicycle Club on it and I found Beirut in it.
+Francesca L You have excellent taste in music. Sir. all of beiruts stuff has been solid, Some people just want th e same thing over and over
+unintelligible gobbledigook
this sounds quite like the first thing zach did: the joys of losing weight. Really the balkan folk sound was better but more derivative and this is a return to something that sounds like a more personal project.
I'm smiling like the man of the drums
Nobody does music videos better than Beirut. Every time I watch this I find something new and hilarious
one of the best and original band , long life to beirut
Why are there so many dislikes? This song is amazing
i love them so much what the fuck
The drummer deserves at least a daytime emmy for his performance in this video.
I remembered that I loved this band as a teenager. Yeah, still great.
in the middle of having some kind of panic attack, came here and feel so much better
I love you guys, your tunes make me feel good. I feel a large happiness at listening to you all!!!
So glad to know they're back :)
BEAUTIFUL song with a very cool video!!!
Wes Anderson
I was lucky enough to find this album for a dollar at a Salvation Army. Definitely one of the best cheap used CDs I’ve gotten on a whim.
I was just replying to "Google's say something" and I am here
The video is so deep and full of symbolism I love it!
you have no idea how much i love this
Me encantó!
yes yes yes, come to brazil right now!
gahhhhh, I have loved your music for song long! Great to see you back at it!
Awe I like nicks new look!! Ughhh I've missed Beirut so so so much.
The Shallow Youth I think Nick needs to rock those shirts all the time :)
This band is named after one of the most beautiful Cities in the World! Beirut, Lebanon!
I am lebanese and i agree
Love this song. A high change from the sings they have and this si amazing.
Please, keep making it as well as you do :)
America needs to love you.

Beirut é foda, queria ter o privilégio de ir a um show desses caras..
The title is very accurate to what I am feeling here.
And yet I keep coming back to this. So yeah, there ya go.
their back !! and their jam sounds the same too ! love it ~
beautiful!
Es un video muy curioso e interesante.
Me gusto mucho.
I love this! Amazing song!
Love Beirut so much. One of my dreams is to go to a concert of this band here in Brasil. Come to Brasil haha
sobre eu estar amando essa banda❤
já amei mais
muito boa!
QUE SAUDADES QUE EU TAVA DE VCS ♡
Ale Souza
This is the weirdest/best music video I've ever seen. Absolutely meme-tastic. 10/10/
such a beautiful song! please please come to mexico! we really want to see you guys again
The best birthday gift ever!! Thank you!!
***** Thanks, man!
belated happy birthday.
YES YES YES
Wow, wasn't expecting a new Beirut song.
Ой, ну наконееееееец!
Can't wait for the next single. And the album. And a gig. One day. One day maybe,
It's like Old Navy bought Beirut
I think you're on to something
It seems to me a little bit with Bossa Nova, that's a kind of brazilian music. I've seen a interview with Zach and he said he loves Caetano, Gilberto e Gal, all singers of popular brazilian music, that's another kind of music in Brazil. Perhaps there is some influence, or not, but is still really good.
Anderson Guedes have you watched them playing Leãozinho? It's just so beautiful
Adoro essa banda!!
I took a buzzfeed quiz of "What song you should listen to next" Im actually not disappointed by buzzfeed for once!
This music video is weird, slightly creepy, and sometimes disturbing but the song is really catchy and the set is very ascetically pleasing.
You should check out Beach House clips!
again and again and again
This is def a different style of video from Beirut. Good to hear them again! *Sounds Great* *:)*
such a beautiful song
meus lindos ! vocês arrasam como sempre
YES YES YES!
Awesome can't wait to buy the new album. Reminds of "The Joys of Losing Weight" album
The drummer's face is so symmetrical and nice to look at...
this has got to be the most non-scenical videos i have ever seen
I defiantly think ther is meaning to this video if you can look hard enough. I think I heard that zach suffered from exhaustion while touring for the last album (just like he does in the video). I think that played a role in the band taking so much time off after the riptide album. I also think this video may be about the feeling that everyone is going through the motions and not enjoying playing music. A lot of people aren't even playing any actual instruments.
dublindietrite i think you're right and i've also heard that Zach had writer's block and only wrote bad songs for a while, he couldn't get the vibe back because he was under so much stress from touring - at the end when you can only see the instruments but people are clapping and it might be a reference that software-generated music is bad (hence NO NO NO appears), since beirut is a proper band
i've heard on a radio interview that he wrote this after a bad breakup ^^
jacky m nonsensical is the word
Bratwurstpictures If you ask me, in case Zach will think about touring again, they maybe should get back to playing at smaller venues, dusty old bars and stuff...I know that's not really possible due to Beirut being so well known, but maybe if they come to smaller cities announcing their shows spontaneuosly (referring to the times of "A Take Away Show) it might would regain that certain charme without all the stress.
On the other hand, how would you keep thousands of fans from flooding a hall allowing a few hundreds of people maximum.
I think there's no such thing as "small concerts" today anymore. It's not particularly a bad thing, but I kinda miss the times when a band was mostly unknown
A true artist, a true musician is someone who experiences in music. And I think that Beirut is doing that very nicely. It's different, but it's good! :)
Hahahaha I wasn't expecting this video! Always funny. Just another amazing song :-)
