We landed back on Canadian soil Thursday night, and I've been editing ever since!
This trip has been one I will never forget.
The internet can be a scary place, BUT it can also be one of finding friends who feel more like family once you finally meet up.
I finally met my good buddy Cammy of The Sheep Game, and let me tell you... he is EXACTLY how he appears on screen.
He and Lizzy are a perfect team as they raise a young family, run a HUGE sheep farm AND do all things social media.
They were so kind and welcoming, and it was hard to leave on Friday.
Along our journey, we also got to meet Crawford of Crawford's Farm and his farm was amazing!
A thriving farm store, grain farm, a brand new beef facility and even a few sheep resembling Billy keeps this family hopping!!
And of course, my sister and I fell in love with the sweetest little bottle calf I've ever seen.
Scotland, thank you so much for your hospitality... truly one of the most friendly countries we've ever had the pleasure to visit.

I watch the Hoof GP and got to see Cammy with Graeme Parker rescue the sheep that was stranded. Now I have 2 reasons to want to visit Scotland. Beautiful place and awesome personalities.

So much history in Scotland. I would never tire of listening to all the tales of clans and battles, traditions then and now. And just taking in the beauty of it all. God took his time making Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.
Yup mine dates back to Robert the Bruce Guthrie clan. My great grandma
He kissed the earth in Ireland and the Lake District of England.
There is a joke about God telling the angel Gabriel about all the beautiful things he did in creating Scotland. Gabriel asked him if he wasn't being overgenerous in all the things he created in Scotland. He replied "Yes, but you should see who they're getting for neighbors."
Scotland is my dream trip.

Spinner and knitter - merino makes a lovely fabric, but I second the Blue faced Leicester as an excellent wool. Also within my friend group we love Corriedale and Cormo… I have no idea what kind of moms those sheep make 🤷♀️. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures!

You didn’t disappoint! Thank you for taking us along. The people were wonderful and the farming is my ideal for sightseeing! I’m 70 years old and grew up on a farm where we had a Case tractor open/ no cab. It would be my dream to ride in a modern tractor with all the electronics etc. I used to sit on the fender on ride alongs. We raised black angus cows with an occasional pig for the freezer. My dad worked in a Buick factory and farmed after work and every spare minute with crops. Best memories ever! I was always up to date on my tetanus shot from stepping on rusty nails that pierced my sneaker. ❤

Your recent visit to Kilmarnock in Scotland piqued my interest.
My father, Daniel Glendinning, (1910-1985) was born in Paisley, Glasgow. In 1925 he sailed out through the River Clyde to Ontario, Canada where he took up resident work as a cowhand in Timmins, and bought himself a Ford Model T (Black).
WW2 forced his return to enlist in the British R.A.F., consequently, I grew up and went to school in Bellshill, schooled and trained as an engineer. Upon my retirement around 2014, I moved to Abuja in Nigeria, where I encountered the Nigerian Dwarf goats and proceeded to build up a small herd. Now I am also building up a herd near Enugu City.
I so, so, so identify with the delights and challenges as you work with the sheep and lambs throughout the year. Thank you for sharing across the WWW.
Lovely. I grew up in a place called Cheviot Hills in Southern California with all the streets named for Scottish places. When my aunt from Glasgow visited, she asked "What daft cretin named everything here?" I answered "Auntie, I think it was a homesick Scot." It was too. His name is stamped in the concrete corners of every sidewalk in the general area -- MacDonald Construction.
