the country says a lot about itself when the government officials can charge you extra 1000 pesos "coffee money" just to get your visa renewed. Like what is so difficult that they had to wait 3 days + keep your passport. there was literally no queue.
6:40 I agree. Here in Malaysia, some people don’t know about dress code when entering government buildings. They get escorted out and use victim card saying the government is wrong. The audacity of certain people.

Ken, it's perfect that you extended your stay in the Philippines. Love your interactions with the locals, best way to understand more of life in travel. If you're looking to do island hopping, go south to Mindanao and get to Camiguin Island, a tiny island loaded also with natural wonders: waterfalls, hot+cold and a soda spring, its water you can drink and tastes like soda really!, the island has great diving and hikes. Camiguin is the most volcanic island in the entire planet (7 volcanoes in this tiny island!), its main attraction is a gorgeous ultra white sandbar in the middle of the ocean you have to see to believe. The island is very local and not touristy, you can rent a motorbike and drive the entire island in a mere hour. Easy to reach by flight (Manila-Cebu-Camiguin), ferries to Camiguin from Cebu and nearby islands.

Ken, are you trying to be a bit more careful with the street food consumption? Malaysia and Singapore are the only two S.E. Asian countries where you can eat from street vendors with no worries. Stick to established places of business (like Aristocrat) to avoid gastrointestinal distress.

You should visit the modern city of Manila like BGC, Greenbelt, Eastwood, and weekend market at Salcedo village in Makati. Antipolo and Tagaytay just an hour and a half away from Manila

You try the scramble (shave ice with milk and chocolate syrup) and halo halo is better too. I live in one of barangay(local neighbourhood) in makati called west rembo. I guess that barangay you are visited is the barangay olympia. I missed that place 😊 thanks for sharing

I had 2 Chow-Chows. Definitely not the dogs to have you don't have time for the upkeep of their fur though. Mine were complete opposites, the male loved anyone and everyone who would pet him, the female was MY dog and no one was good enough to touch her but me. Being big and fluffy gets people's attention, but it's the blue tongue that keeps their interest.
You must be extra careful on drinking water in not sealed on a bottle. When you buy grill food it must be grilled properly so your stomach will not have a different reaction since your not acustom with our foods. Have fun and safe travels.
