- In today's video I'm gonna be bringing you my top 3 points to help YOU decide on which gym you should join. When i was starting out on my own fitness journey, as a BEGINNER, it was super difficult to figure what a good gym is and is not. Fortunately i found my way to the right gym, but everyone might not be as lucky as i was. So i'm these are my top 3 nuggets of beginners gymming advice to help you answer the eternal question - HOW TO CHOOSE A GYM
Personally i feel this is some of the best beginners gym advice you can get as an Indian. Fitness advice for beginners 101.

That's not a big deal, use headphone and do your workout.. or you can make new friends in gym ask them who is bigger than you ask them how long you've doing gym, correct forms, and you can also take support from them so it's all up to you..

Work like a champ they will watch you but with a different perspective.
Tanmay's deadlift form is all over the place. This is not how it should be done.
1. He needs to get him bums lower
2. He is bending his back while lifting up.
3. He is lifting the barbell with his arms rather than using his whole body.
Goal should be to lift with right form rather than trying to lift heavy.

Probably because of his weight, he has pretty limited mobility and normally to do a pretty good muscle is 100 kg in deadlift the weight he is using so he is puting in what he can

Hi Ranveer, I know this is an old video, but I have a question regarding the Squat rack/Power rack. Where can a I buy a decent one in India? I'm looking for a Power Rack that has features close to the Rogue rml 390f. The ones that are available online like the Body Solid one are either too small or have large hole spacing which might not be helpful when doing the benches, overhead presses and pull ups. Please suggest. Great video BTW.

I'm a novice on this...
But from the kinda exercises & training you recommend as key for muscle building.... And the equipment you consider most effective, i feel the whole muscle building training can better be done at home , rather than a gym ..
I see what most people including Ranveer recommend need Squats (various), barbell, dumbbells .. none of these need any costly gym equipment.. Training at home also adds to Ranveers point of not having to go far from home ...
I would like your views, friends...

Invest the money on proper diet, that is what matters a lot..
I go to BBMP ( Bangalore government gym) which costs just ₹500/ per month and just 1km from my home..

I am annoyed at gym trainers who pester me to go for Personal training(without which they claim I am doomed)
Also I have started with strength training(I currently weigh 130 kgs and am a newbie to working out with weights ). I used to weigh 146 kgs back in college . Took up Middle Eastern dancing(aka Bellydancing) as a hobby and lost 16 kgs as a result.
I have noticed that after a couple of weeks of strength training my blood pressure is high(not measured but I get head aches) or my heart beat gets fast(like really racing that I can hear it in my ear) . Do extremely obese people experience all this ? No one is really guiding me about all this and I am really frustrated . Doctors advise me to chuck gym and go for a walk instead but I know that ain't something that'll help me shed fat.
Note: I do not have any heart problems et al . Got myself checked(ECG and 2D echo) . I experienced all those symptoms only when I started lifting .You've been on the heavier side so you must have been in my shoe at some point of time . Sorry if my comment seems silly . Please HELP !!!

+Aditya Tawde Hey Aditya, some times if you're overweight, there can be a bunch of reasons for head aches and/or high BP. Don't chuck gym, this is why you shouldn't listen to doctors about FITNESS. They're the best brains in the country, especially when it comes to curing illness, but not the best when it comes to fitness.
I'd advise you to just take it easy in the beginning. Don't gym more than twice or thrice a week, initially. Then go according to how you're feeling. In my experience training overweight people i've never come across this, so just to be safe, you should still geta full body check up done

try increasing your water intake. the symptoms you mentioned appear to be of dehydration. and yes dont skip the gym, but dont go over board too. start with basics and then eventually you will be able to step up your routine without those symptoms. 💪
Aditya Tawde headaches are common just don't stress yourself too much and avoid doing a lot of cardio , eat healthy and don't starve yourself
and go to the gym every day
and for trainers asking for pt just tell them politely that youre happy with what youre doing right now and you don't want pt

Bro i started self training when I was 14. CZcams is key. Just look up correct form and what exercises will suit your goals best. Honestly it's incredibly easy to learn yourself. Counting calories. All of it just takes a few CZcams clicks and dedication. Although let me tell you it's so much more satisfying to know I am where I am through the grind with myself. Although self training doesn't mean you should ignore tips and help. It's always a good idea to hear out someone more experienced. It's bs to think that you NEED someone though.

Join a gym where both guys and girls do strength training.
In every gym, girls can do any type of exercise they want. You just won't get support from your coaches.

Dude i am telling you my whole story and then can u plz help me.
1)When i am in 11th class then i started the gym. At that time i was 86 kg and after two year of gym i.e; at the end of 12th class i was 60 kg with good biceps and body.
2)After that since i had to become a doctor i haf gone to kota to prepare for my competitive exam NEET to enter in good medical college.
3)This is where trouble start since i had to study lot sitting on same chair and table and due to oily mess food of rajasthan kota and no gym nearby i started gaining weight and currently i am 95kgs
can u plz help me and tell me tell me the procedure and diet plan about which diet either ketogenic diet or other should i conduct.

hey ..great work..but my question is totally unrelated to the video...I have been gyming for around 2 years now and I only strictly use whey protein.. but I am a student... I stay in a hostel.. and I am on pocket money..so it's really hard at times to afford brands like ON etc ...I have tried muscleblaze though...but I have heard mixed reviews about it...so I would just want to know what do you feel about that brand and should I use it?

Hey Ranveer, can you please tell me how to divide my week at the gym ? I obviously cannot do a full body workout at the gym each day right ? So how should each day go, which part of the body should be targeted and exercises for that particular day ? +Nikhita Emm Hi nikhita! you can do full body everyday, but make sure you dont hit it with 100% intensity everyday. your body needs recovery time. ideally id suggest you do weights and cardio on alternate days
