    I was recommended to do scalp massages by my curly hair specialist in Dec 2019. Followed her advice and have been doing this regularly. I bought the electric massager similar to what you shown in video in 2020 however use a silk bonnet so my curls don't get disrupted. Definitely have seen improvement in my hair. Last year I added a high frequency device to my routine along with head massages and that gives me a little boost in growth. Thank you for the tips Karen!

      Thank you! Actually, my hair naturally grows in a heart shape so if you look at some of my videos from early last year you will see it, BUT I dealt with some hard water that damaged my hair the latter part of last year, so I had to have to cut several inches and had it cut in this shape -- here's the video actually --> czcams.com/video/Da1nU8QBotM/video.html

    🙏🏽 I heard that the scalp gets used to it over time. How often would you recommend doing it?

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  Před rokem +2

      Hello there! I don't know about the scalp getting used to it. Scientifically I can't make the connection of it being ineffective -- maybe unless you have already incorporated other blood circulation techniques for increased scalp circulation 🤔There was a small study of 9 men who massaged their scalp everyday for 6 months, at 4 minutes per day, and they noticed thickness in their hair. So what I typically recommend is get int habit of doing it daily to regularly (4-5x per week) for about 5 minutes. Hope this helps!

    I wanted to know whats your thoughts on sea moss that has 92 minerals that the body needs and whats is your thoughts on batana oil that goes into the skull and remove the mucus out rn im on my hair journey if it works for me im going to come back let you know

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  Před rokem +1

      I love seamoss! Got a big ol jar in my refrigerator now! I put it in my tea, smoothies, and I'm about to try it in my hair (as an experiment!!). Not sure if you make it or purchase it pre-made, but if you purchase it makes sure its from a reputable person or company as to ensure its quality it not diluted. I am familiar with batana oil, and aware of its benefits but haven't used it myself or thoroughly researched it so can't really give any expert advice on this oil.
