I love how Garrett immediately thinks of Lyse. Imagine how mad she would have gotten after this. "You fought RHALGR?! And you didn't BRING ME?! **angry punching**"

For the yellow/orange and black/blue mechanics there is one simple trick to know which mechanic ist triggered: Watch the outside of the battle field! If it is yellow/orange then the corresponding attacks will come through. The same for the black/blue attacks.
But be careful: Sometimes the colour outside can change while Nald'Thal casts his attack, so have an eye out for that. :)
So in the end for example with the stack mark that runs away: Since the outside was black/blue, only the target and follow aoe's where triggered, but the stack marker is a yellow/orange attack so it wasn't important at all since it never happens. ^^

Took me a few runs when it was released but after noticing it it was a piece of cake afterwards :D
A huge amount of people *still* don't understand how this truly works and think you have to do both the stack marker and the tracking AOEs.
If I get the stack and know it's false I like to hit sprint and run around with it to watch people panic.

As Above, So Below is the blue/ orange mechanic. The lamps and background are the color of the attack that will come out (and if you're really observant, it's either Nald in control or Thal). But, they sometimes swap which attack it will be, changing who is in charge and the background. The kind of clang noise you hear with the flashing light on Nald'Thal indicates a swap is coming.

Of course people had to grief the last boss... Ah well... currently we dont even get to see that mechanic... Hopefully that changes with DT :(
A visual cue, Thal and Nald have different appearances and stances. For instance Nald has the burning crown/hair while Thal has the blue candles, afterburners for Garret's taste, in an arch over his head. So if Nald is active, red/orange markers are active while Thal is blue stuff.

It is a shame that if you do this raid in alliance roulette thw improved gear from later patches means you normally don't reach the scale mechanic before the boss dies.
honestly it takes so long & youre just standing there, i dont mind skipping it. it only sucks for first timers
We also did some basic math and figured out that you just.... run to the other side of the thing you killed to get pretty easy balance. (Method may not apply when there are dead bodies, though.)

They do not know a thing about proximity aoes. It kinda infuriating and hilarious at the same time.
