A visual cue, Thal and Nald have different appearances and stances. For instance Nald has the burning crown/hair while Thal has the blue candles, afterburners for Garret's taste, in an arch over his head. So if Nald is active, red/orange markers are active while Thal is blue stuff.

To give an answer to your question of "why make this place strictly alone but not Ultima Thule/why not have an Enter With Party option", it's because the zones you do alone change appearance significantly depending on where you are in those quests and having multiple people present would cause issues, like having terrain in different places or even just trying to show each player the right version at once if players are at different points in the plot. And they did make what I thought was the most emotional part of Ultima Thule, the "endwalk", alone, so I think they did their best to do that where appropriate.

Maybe the AI thing is right...and till lvl 97 the one head Mamool Ja is the baddy but then green cat boy snatches the AI and all the technology and trys to "better" the world with it but everything goes wrong then and he becomes the new bad guy

the war of the magi thing had me do a full on brainblast, in a lot of the promotional stuff/art there are morphos, and if you read the morpho description it says "The wings of this butterfly were highly sought after during the War of the Magi, as their scales could be used to make poison that inhibited the restoration of magical energy. As a result, they were hunted to near extinction, and now very few remain"

As Above, So Below is the blue/ orange mechanic. The lamps and background are the color of the attack that will come out (and if you're really observant, it's either Nald in control or Thal). But, they sometimes swap which attack it will be, changing who is in charge and the background. The kind of clang noise you hear with the flashing light on Nald'Thal indicates a swap is coming. You did great!

For the yellow/orange and black/blue mechanics there is one simple trick to know which mechanic ist triggered: Watch the outside of the battle field! If it is yellow/orange then the corresponding attacks will come through. The same for the black/blue attacks. But be careful: Sometimes the colour outside can change while Nald'Thal casts his attack, so have an eye out for that. :) So in the end for example with the stack mark that runs away: Since the outside was black/blue, only the target and follow aoe's where triggered, but the stack marker is a yellow/orange attack so it wasn't important at all since it never happens. ^^

My only worry is that the digital world thing is going to be THE big twist. Like, we'll go through the gate and arrive in Solution 9. Everyone will assume it was actually a transporter to another shard and we'll operate on that assumption until level 97 or so when they drop the big bombshell that we actually just digitized ourselves and the shard is long destroyed. I hope we're not all hyping ourselves up for a level of strangeness that never comes.
