15:10 lmao @ Kyle asserting his question dominance in that conversation 😁 As for an answer ... Re: our Hammer-Spacing "lunch box", it's basically a battery that is officially named the Aethero-Transformer. It absorbs & stores a small but continuous flow of aether (you could think of it as 'body heat') from the Machinist, where it is then converted into a Levin-aspected form of energy. It is so efficient that it can convert this energy into (and then power) various forms of machinery in short bursts.
It is also the bane and destroyer of Machinist glams everywhere. 😫

    • @RockR277
      @RockR277 Před měsícem +6

We need box glams. Or at least, a 'make the box invisible' option.

@@RockR277 Agreeeed! Please, CBU3! 🙏 Toggle it, glam it, dye it, turn it into actual Bento box, anything. There are only so many 'silver with cyan highlight' glams i can come up with lol.

There's also that one older teacher from the Sharlayan Forum who explains about aether while conjuring animated paper, pen and inkwell.

Machinist works in a similar way that the first old lightsabers worked in Star Wars legends, it’s connected to a battery pack carried on the waist that converts specific energies into the fluid needed to use the skills

For level 100, I kinda wish they would've given us a personal Limit break. Nothing super strong like the party limit break, but just a weaker one but still does more instant or over time damage. kind of like a breaking into the 3 digit/ breaking a power wall, or learning to use dynamis ... I don't know, I think I am just rambling and not making sense now 🤣

If I remember correctly they announced a dragoon rework for 7.0 but the communitry feedback made them postpone it till later.

14:50 --- Not... really... They... kinda explain it... In a very... vague fashion... Maybe you've notice that Machinists not only have their guns but also a small bag or package hanging from their hips. This apparatus, lovingly called "lunchbox" by Yoshi-P in a recent interview, draws from your Aether which is then converted into your attacks. This is how you shoot rockets, summon a robot, and in your LB3 a giant laser-canon above your head. Since Aether is in everything and is only distinguished in the shape it takes, it can be explained that some people simply summon fire and ice or giant axes... or just a metal robut-buddy.
21:39 --- As someone who mained "Boomkin" back in the day for fourteen years... yeah, go ahead, it deserves every criticism for its ridiculous design! XD
27:33 --- I think they removed "Plunge" and the other gap-closers to make a role-skill out of it that doesnt do dmg since all dmg-optimizers would weave the gap closer in their opening, negating its actual purpose, namely "gap closing". Personally, kinda sad that "Plunge" is gone, simply because it was a fun animation, but on the other hand, this is better.
37:22 --- Well, Scholars are... tacticians. Hence why their job armor is always covered with medals and other military insignia. And since they, just like Summoner, use geometric patterns to weave their shields... yeah, makes sense. Why their companion is a fluttery fairy is another question ^^°
40:35 --- It totally gives off "Loony Toones" vibes XD On the other hand, its not as bad as I feared it might've been when I saw the first video about them during Japan Fanfest, so its not bad at all :)
44:00 --- I never played any other FF game, to me it just looked cool XD

PLD and WAR still have their current gap closers in this video, and the visual effects on the DRK and GNBs' slides are different, so I don't think it's a role action. I think the reason DRK and GNB specifically got their damage axed is because people felt their burst windows were too busy, especially if they had to also use mit.

20:20 Red Mage is more complicated for only one reason. Balancing White and Black magic. Black Mage's one job is to cycle that timer and keep it going forever. Ice is for restoring MP. Fire is for blowing all your MP on as much damage as possible, which naturally means it's about casting as many fire spells as you can before switching back to ice.

Loving the AST stuff. It's quite new, and from the mention in the Live Letter 81, cards are not random anymore, and it's always gonna be a curative, defensive, and an offensive one (maybe the reason they play the cards to themselves, the DPS and the tank in the trailer). So cool XD The cosmos effects are just fabulous XD. Also butterscotch job stone should taste nice lol
As for Reaper, they are kinda delve into crystals more now? Not sure but this gives me memoriate vibes from the 13th.

Looking forward to Viper. Gonna switch to it for Dawntrail. Was thinking of switching to Picto first, since I like the art attacks, but I've been playing RDM for 6 years and SMN for 4 years before that, I wanted to do something different, instead of another Magical Ranged DPS.
Hmm? Play a tank or healer? Ha ha, let's not get crazy.

I reiterate, I think of MCH as a gadgeteer, not a jack of all trades. I'd be tempted to call it an artificer, but I think artificer carries more inherent magical connotations, at least in DND 5e.
