Congrats on the son. War was most immersion breaking where was the cleave the group button? Cory will be devastated they have not included it. He needs it and Rescue for Tanks.
I agree that they shouldn't have gutted the gapcloser animations but it would be really weird if something like Plunge where you swing the sword overhead and leap at the enemy to hit them with the sword did no damage. It would be like bard's repelling shot where it just feels weird where something that looks like it's doing damage isn't actually doing that.
My inner GNB is dancing over that Lionheart combo. :D
With it, we now have every Squall Limit Break, tis glorious!
@@magicalduckye2356 Kind of seems like we might be losing Rough Divide (at least in its form as a gap closer), but will need to see what it looks like come release.

people kinda praised EW Monk, all they had to do was add to it, but apparently they didn't and ... yeah. (I don't like or play monk, just going off from what I saw)

@@DarkDyllon But they did. It lowered the ceiling a tiny bit in some situations, like multi-target fights, but the base rotation is essentially the same - the stacks "enforce" almost the exact same rotation of gcds as in EW monk, it just moves demolish to every 4th coeurl instead of 3rd.
I play WAR on my femRoe and I was SO SO excited about that last bit with the gigantic axe!!! I'm REALLY looking forward to that :D

I'm hoping the dash is a Role Action oGCD that doesn't completely get rid of the unique gap closers. Maybe steal a charge from each of them to reduce weaving and up the potency to accommodate the loss? If it was and appeared early enough, it would also mean PLD finally has a gap closer for UCOB/UWU.
WAR and GNB definitely won in terms of flash (GNB finally completing the Squall LB set was very nice), but I'm curious to see how the 30% mit buffs are going to affect PLD and DRK, assuming it doesn't just lead to all jobs having their big mit do spike damage as well.
tbh, don't think we need to shift the potencies of the gap closers, since we'll already be getting extra attacks that are stronger.
like with WAR we'll atleast get a stronger version of Nascent Chaos (and guessing an upgrade to chaotic cyclone, believe that's what it's called)
then also after 3 Fell Cleaves in Inner Release we'll get Fell Cleave 2 (we don't know the new name)
and of course Primal Rend will also become Primal Rend 2 after using it.
but i've been saying this since SB, get rid of potency on utility, gap closers are utility, so often you need to use your gap closers because it's bursting time, but you want to have atleast 1 incase you need to disengage.
Dark Knight at 14:41 I think may be using a new sustain mechanic, as I don't recognise that animation and it has a "healing" colouration to it. Unless that's the new combined Blood Weapon/Delirium.

@@DarkDyllon because they are running out of unique things to add to jobs. its just add new damage skill, upgrade defensives, or upgrade existing damage ability. we need a revamp desperately in the combat
DRK and GNB getting new non-damage gap closers. Both are the tanks with too many buttons during burst. So i guess it is to reduce that.
RIP plunge tho.
It could also be to make people use them as a gap closer and not just saving them for the rotation for another ogcd dmg button.

Here's how you make tanks remember tank stance: +5% potency against enemies aggro'd to you.
For drk if they upgraded plunge to a proper skill it'd be another warrior clone ability. Drk is meh until its fully reworked.

am I the only one that hates the lionheart animation? it feels so out of sync with how everything else looks in the game. Like yeah I get that squall attacked like that but it was awkward then, too.
About PLD : It would be really cool if Passage of Arms (aka Angel Wings) gave you Confetior Ready (aka being able to do the Confetior skill combo). It is a bit unclear whether the chain from Requiescat is still running at that time as shown in the video.

But doing that would turn a defensive into a "mandatory" DPS cooldown, which is not happening. People would pop it pre-pull and on CD for the damage rather than ever use it for party mit (without crying).
@@PregnantOrc pretty much, it was also my biggest issue with gap closers, you need to use them for damage, but they're utility at the end of the day, so you're using utility for damage instead of having it in case you need it.
Take out tank stance and stop having bosses go untargetable, weird takes, do not agree
It is sad because the pld and war gap closer looking like they do damage but the drk and gunny aren't. It will be interesting if this is right or not and i wonder what the meta will be in the end. So hyped fur gunny but why does the Pld still have clemency 😭 come on it is a damage loss.🥹

but yeah, even holy spirit/circle now heal you, fairly sure confiteor and the blade combo also heals you now.
