“Friends Will Be Friends” was written by Freddie and Queen bassist John Deacon. Freddie wrote the lyrics.
The video features the band performing the song in front of fan club members. During the show, Mercury “high fives” audience members, and at the end cuts the mic and sings along with them, letting them lead. Because of this, this performance was nicknamed “Queen’s Greatest Show Never Performed”.
They sung live at Wembley 1986. The audience is made up of fan club members,they always used the fan club members if they need groups of people. It was their way of paying something back to the fans for their loyalty. Great song xx
John Deacon wrote this and I have always felt he wrote it for his friend Freddie, you'll also notice that he sings (one of the few) on this.

You might want to try "It's Late". Is a deep cut so no video, just a lyric video but well worth it. It was on an album with several radio hits.

I love this song. Freddie looks so happy, and he’s having so much fun. And John wrote this, and you can see him loving this too. I live Queen, forever. I share by text this video to friends on their birthdays a lot. They love it. Sigh. Have you reached to Breakthru yet? It’s a fun video too, they’re all looking so happy, and a great song too, from the Innuendo album, the last released before Freddie’s death. Innuendo is a fabulous song, almost a Bohemian Rhapsody monumental song. One Vision too. Oh, so many.
