Exactly 2 months since the Dasara elephants arrived in Mysore Palace it was time for them to return to their respective forest camps. It was October 7th 2022 early morning the Dasara elephants given bath Puja performed for safe journey and good health and finally the transport vehicles lorries arrive , the elephants also check out the lorries that will transport them to forest camp. Experienced elephant walk into the lorries calmy and it's done in a minute. But, when inexperienced Elephants or elephant not willing to leave Mysore Palace ,they get naughty to enter the transport vechile. Some of them after few minutes of fuzz enter the lorry, but, then some are tough and stubborn, Dasara Elephant Sri Rama of Dubarae elephant camp has become find of his new home in Mysore Palace and doesn't want to leave Mysore Palace. Hence, the ordeal begins of getting Sri Rama into the truck, the struggle between man and beast lasts for over 2 hours and offcourse finally the intelligence wins over power and raw strength. Elephants have very sensitive feet. Lory must have soft surface for them to step on. Vibrations for elephants while travelling trouble them. Spread grass or gunny bags in lory and keep food inside lory. Thry will easily agree to travel.

Ok... If this is the criteria... Administrators must get an approval from Government or from royal family to feed these elephants atleast better food if not best. Is India so poor in understanding elephants? India has domesticated elephants thousands of years ago... It has great history. Dont waste the knowledge that has evolved!

My grandfather made the Panchaloha devi Chamundeshwari utsava murthy for dasara in 1980's.
I know the purpose of bringing elephants to Mysuru. My point is very clear. This is not a laughing matter if elephants are not getting inside the vehicle. They must keep the treats inside the vehicle and encourage them climb. Or try to understand their sensitive feets.
