To support bands with merch purchases, would they typically make more from purchasing from their website?
I'll ask the same question on LinkedIn.

The artists would make about the same.
A lot of times they up charge the merch on tour to make up for the fee that venues charge. But if prices stay the same, essentially they would make more online. However, an engaged and excited customer is going to make more on an impulse buy. When they’re at a show really excited, they’re gonna spend more on Merch. Especially when they can look at it in person and touch it, which they can’t do online.

Other than merch how else do promoters make money, doesn't look profitable if you're in a small club 300 people or less

Merch is a terrible way to rely on revenue. Do you own the club or only promote at the club? Have you seen this video?
