It's weird seeing you do all these hikes that I've actually done. Watched your channel for a while and seen all these great trips but seeing you in places I've been to almost makes the other videos even more real to me. Beautiful as always :)
I know right, I just did it two weeks ago, 😊🥰. Beautiful walk.
I felt the same when I watched Kraig's Scotland video
so stoked you got good weather. beautifully captured
At 66, convalescing a cold for three days, this warms my spirits. Thank you and bless you Kraig for taking us along on your treks.
We’re 70 years old and my wife and I did this hike. We’re both very Avid outdoor people and we actually did quite a few of the great hikes in New Zealand. It’s the best place in the world we feel absolutely incredible and a very interesting culture too.
World is vast and you are just subjective.
@@martinicaUSAstrange seeing a yank mention the rest of the world
This is the level of aesthetic I aspire for my channel to achieve.
So many places to see. New Zealand is at the top of the list.
Such a cool take on the Routeburn Track. And the good weather made it all the more scenic. Absolutely adored the shots and sounds of the Keas. One of the coolest birds out there. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Milford Track as well.
The truth is that you can be my son, however for me you are a teacher, your work is an inspiration for the careful care and refined cinematographic quality that abounds in your work.
I always take more than one look at your publications, the first is more informative and fast, the others more careful and oriented to enjoy the details.
Thank you for the gift of your videos
Glad you decided to do this hike and had the good weather. Kea seem to be more rambunctious in the early dawn hours. This is my favorite video from NZ so far. Looking forward to seeing the Milford Track from your lens.
For anyone doing this hike and finishing on the Milford Side, go do Gertrude Saddle. It’s a more hard day hike, best on a sunny dry day. Some of the best views of South Island.
I used to do car relocations for this trail, I ran it up to 6 times a week in order to get people their cars for the other side. Honestly the best trail run I have done anywhere and in my opinion even better in a good storm. Cool to see you head into the Valley of the Trolls. Love your work mate
How long did it take you to run the full 32km?
@@bigchief2331 It is only a three hour run on a good day and 4.5 hours on a bad full stormy day. There is a race from The Divide to the Aspiring side and someone has done it in 2:38 I believe.
New Zealand appears to be fabulous
OMG... I feel homesick watching you trek so some of my favourite country. Thank you Kraig for sharing it with us.
I love how small you look with the background of grand nature. It gives me much comfort knowing that we are all just specks of dust in this universe and that we can choose to be whoever we want.
I have ran the Routeburn many many times to relocate cars, but whenever I can I camp up at Lake Wilson. Such a special spot!
Well capture, thanks!
Una vez más, maravilloso Kraig Adam!!❤
Watching your videos just gives me peace, that's it. Love them!
What a Mood! Thank You
This is my bucket list hike! I cannot believe you saw those keas birds! It blows my mind and 🥲 because I will soon do this trail🎉🌄🥾
Looks like the Switzerland of the Southern Hemisphere. Beautiful. Happy 2024. Be safe and aware as you travel. 😊
This is my fav style and what drew me in to this channel. Thank you for taking me places I'll probably never see. Happiest New Year & Good Health Kraig
wishing that you can see them in the new year! best wishes to you!!
Best wishes to you! @@avirao7580
Epic, beautiful scenery. Great video!
That was beautiful(as always)! Thank you Kraig. Happy New Year!
As always, beautiful scenery, and light music. Fantastic video.
That reflection shot at 11:00 is the best shot i've saw on all your videos
amazing. thanks Kraig
This is awesome! Loving the chilled vibe, where the scenery is showcased without the need for fast, flashy transitions. Just subscribed. Looking forward to more!
OMG, I am going there next month from Sydney. Thank you for making such a masterpiece, so heavenly
What primarily describes the film for me is 'serenity'. You created another masterpiece.
Just when you think there could not be a more beautiful place on earth … you find it
Hi Kraig! Thanks for always making great hiking video. You really inspire me to do more hiking and to start making hiking video. Keep making old style Kraig Adams' video. Love your work.
Queenstown is my favorite town in NZ. I've always wanted to do the Milford Sound great walk so looking forward to seeing that video. I miss NZ! Thanks for sharing!
amazing shots as always!
hiking in an art form…epic!
Stunning views! Queenstown is amazing, so many great spots. Thanks for sharing this helpful video brother!

Captivating, spectacular it's seems like I myself walked through same dream journey thank you for hiking for us and loving to nature.🎉
Awesome!
Did this hike last week! Camped at the flats and lake Mackenzie. Love your work Kraig. Keep it up!
Beautiful place! Love your videos!
Amazing..
I did this trek in 1987 and loved it! No signing up needed back then😂. Following along as you walked and seeing the beautiful scenery again and the Keas...it sure brought back great memories. Thanks.
Kraig, parabéns pelo vídeo suas imagens e edições são fantástica.
I did it among other trails in New Zealand back there in 1985. Great walk.
Love your videos
Great video. ‘tramped’ the routeburn in 2018. Loved your side trip up to lake Wilson. Didn’t even realise this was possible. Best hiking Chanel on CZcams! Keep them coming :)
i loved routeburn track. i did link it with some other track at the end to make it longer and that was great too. The weather was rainy the second half but i was prepared and it really only made it more beautuiful with so many waterfalls everywhere. that waterfall you stood at was raging hard. It was so loud and so powerful it made me stop in awe for a while.
Nice Country! Great views! Thank you.
Love your videos! Because of you, I am doing Torres Del Paine in May & can't wait. And am trying to learn video, too.
Probably one of my favourite hikes I've ever done!!
Wow~~Routenburn track! It is a very beautiful mountain. Have a good end of the year🍀🍀👍
Really glad you brought back the behind the scenes at the end of the videos. I sometimes watch these with my partner and they really enjoy that bit - stopped watching them after they were dropped for a few vids.
Happy to have been part in your half marathon PB! 👏
You powered through 🙌
good running and chatting brother
Wow. Thank you for sharing this with us. It never occurred to me that I could send you a recommendation to visit New Zealand and do some of the walks here. This video is inspiring.
Хорошее видео. Природа супер 👍
Sweet shot of the Kea!!
this is the perfect planning video!! i’m hitting routeburn next week. currently backpacking around the northern south island, then mt cook queenstown and milford!! it’d be epic to run into ya out there. thanks kraig! keep it up
Did this when I was 18 in 2013. I’ve still been chasing the high I got from this trek since
Omg one of my bucket list hike and you did it. I love the Keas how they were just curious about you.
Epic !!
Man I wish I knew about lake Wilson when I did this last year. Routeburn was simply awesome to hike. Great filming as always Kraig and merry Xmas to you and the fam!
Love your videos! Definitely inspired me to create my own on my channel, and these recent videos are perfect as I live in Queenstown close to your recent walks
Memories
Beautiful
Footage is Brilliant mate cheers and thanks for sharing hopefully I get to check it out one day✌️🇳🇿🏝
those birds are the best
As you know I'm a huge fan and you've inspired me to get BACK into hiking. I grew up hiking or TREKing with my dad and brothers. Trekking is hike/camping I believe. And then I did way too much trekking in the army and got burned out on it and have been a Ritz Carlton kinda camper ever since. But being retired and burned out on the glam Hollywood life I seek passion and inspiration to travel again and I think this will center me back to my roots and reconnect me with nature. Aidan said he's also interested in trekking and will start making those videos with me and having moved to Washington, what better a place to start! I did live in Switzerland in my youth and remember so well those amazing camping trips hiking with my brothers!
Okay so I did stop by to say hello and thanks for another excellent video HOWEVER I must admire that you doing something super spiritual such as camping at a mountain top and then watching an EMMA CHAMBERLAIN video of her having an anxiety attack in her car in LA is such a contrast. I found it hilarious and know it was intended as a wink of irony. BRILLIANT. That poor girl needs to get out like her dad does. Emma needs to see your video and go for a hike with you. Anyhow really looking forward to hiking with you next time you're around the PNW. Lahitraoat!
Aside from it being marvelous, I'm giving you a sub for the choice of music.
I turned on the bell for new uploads. I missed watching your stuff 😅
Camping at that lake with the birds, what more could you ask for.
Amo tus videos Kraig (Y)
Beautiful shots! Makes me really regret not exploring NZ properly when I was raised there!
Good video 👍
A shame you didn't do the short side trip to Key Summit, has the best views of the whole walk.
7:52 Nice shot! :)
루트번트렉 자세한설명과풍경 잘봤습니다
few days early but, Happy New Year Kraig... an everyone down in the comments!!
NICE VIDEO
Hope you're doing the Milford track too! Done it a few years ago, absolutely stunning.
I solo camped the Routeburn in 2018 and loved it (made a video about it). I stopped at Routeburn Flats though and hiked over the range too Lake McKenzie on the second day.
Never saw any Keas though! They look very smart and a little too curious.
yeee🔥
Nice
When I did it I did Routburn-Caple track so you are doing kind of loop !
cool
Such epic scenery right?! I've done the Routeburn a couple of times but yet to get up to Lake Wilson, on the list!
well done bro, you can travel for swiss , his really paradis on earth❤
Omg so jelly of how many keas you saw
Also anyone going, take the little side route to Key Summit, definitely worth it
Great walks are for the tourist. Not very difficult and accessible. There's soo much more out there
Crabain of Dunland!
As someone from northern europe - god I miss the sun..
welcome to new zealand mate🙂
If you could get drone footage of the 3D angle of 14:10, that would truly be extraordinary.
amazing shots! Kraig camera did you used for this video?
Fantastic trip! Going in a couple of weeks and want to hike Mt Erebus above Wilson Lake. Have reservations for Mackenzie campground, but Lake Wilson would be so much closer..Do you have to have a permit to wild camp there or how does that work with the DOC?
no permit needed. Have fun
@@kraigadams Thanks! Great job on your amazing videos!
First!!! OMG i'm third... ok! Nice job again! Thank you
always on point with the views and scenes!! another classic @kraig 😮💨🫰
Thumbs up for steak pie!
How long in advance did you book Milford track? It was fully booked when we tried a month out when I lived in queenstown
Do you use any inserts in your trail runners?
Great video!! I’m about to hike the Routeburn Track with my 10 yo son in a couple of weeks. We could only get a hut at RB Flats, so plan to push through the remainder on Day 2. You think ok?
