Hey, great video, love the way the footage looks from the mavic. I tried downloading the LUT, but it downloaded as a .cube file which in recognizable to my computer (Mac). Any ideas?

Nice video! Can you tell us more about the use of the ND filters? I just got the original go pro ones. What effect has this on your settings? What setup with which ND filter?
hi there! i use the Polar pro Vivid series. They have the polarizing coating included and that will eliminate the reflections and will boost the colors too. I mostly use the ND 16 and ND 32 filters, with iso 100 and shutter speeds from 60/sec up to 100/sec. Also keep your sharpness to +1 saturation and contrast to -1.

Ive been using your LUT solely on everything i shoot since watching this video thanks again :):) just a quick question! what export settings do you use? I'm using premiere but trying to get a decent file to watch on a 4k TV... export using 65mbit?
thank you ! i am exporting a custom preset : H.264 format, 4k or 1080p depending on the situation. For youtube i export High Profile , Level 5.2 , render @ maximum depth, CBR @ 100mbs. Thinking on creating a tutorial on how to apply the LUT and export for youtube for max quality. Cheers!

Razvan when you are flying over the water and filming your ocean videos do you have your positioning sensor disabled?

I meant to say is your vision positioning sensor on the bottom of the drone disabled. A couple of weeks ago I was flying over a body of water at about 50 feet with the sensor enabled and my phantom 3 Pro started spinning wildly for about 8 seconds.

Do you think there is a problem with mine? Because if I set the ISO 100 and the shutter 50 but its really bright even tho it is not sunny out here and doesnt matter what I do with white balance or different styles.
Krajan Cil hi there! do you have Nd filter on? if not put it on and try. Also if the filter does not do the job, try go with the shutter speed to 60, 80, 100 . That should fix the overexposure.

The solution is to shoot early at sunrise or at sunset when the light is low. The shutter speed should be double your frame rate. I recommend an nd if you shoot in bright daylight. Cheers!

arata bomba, si credeam ca ai folosit si un denoiser ceva sau vreo setare din premiere pro .., si eu il tin pe sharpness +1 la setari ca sa nu apara blurul ala urat pe umbre, dar parca scoate ceva noise , chiar daca e crisp imaginea

My ND filters are 16 and 8....is it necessary to own a 4 ND also or 8 can be used for most situations?
i mostly use 16 but for the scenes where there is not so much light 8 will do the job better. The idea is to use the one that gets you closer to 1/60 sec shutter at the lowest iso.
Thanks! But clarify me: if you tap on screen, you can adjust only focus or also exposure? I want to shoot in manual but I never did this, once you set on MANUAL, how to adjust the exposure? Sorry but I'm a rookie on manual settings....
put it in manual, put the nd filter and set the shutter speed to 60. If the image is too dark raise the iso to 200 but don't go over 400. If you want to shoot with iso 100 and the image is underexposed then you can lower the shutter speed too. If it is still too dark you are using the wrong ND. Try a small number. 8 or 4 let's say. Hope that helped! :)

Great videos...the only suggestion is to turn down you music when you are talking. It makes it hard to hear what you are saying over the music.

What is and what does a LUT pack?
a Lut applies a color filter on your video. Check the description there is a free lut you can use with mavic dlog footage.
