I watched lot of videos about SC just to get enough knowledge about them,what needs to prepare and what to expect before buying one but it seems most of the videos are not enought or maybe kinda one sided info, yours are very helpful and I think I got all the information that I need. I am a first time owner of a male turquoise. He’s around 7 months old and I got him from a sanctuary in Tennessee called parrot mountain and gardens. He was with tons of other baby birds and 100s of people come in and out every day and are allowed to freely handle these birds. I kind of figured at first that this would be beneficial in the long run. But now I’m starting to wonder if he had some trauma. His tail feathers look a little wonky when I got him, one has only a small bit of feather at the end of it and then just a bare stick with no fluff. I wondered if he ripped it out due to stress. He is strange though I’m trying to figure him out. He’s super nippy. He gets up easily, and honestly demands to be on my head constantly. Loves car rides, mischievous af. It’s weird though he will suddenly just be chewing on your shirt/hair etc and that’s when I know he’s about to be real mad if I put any fingers near. That’s when he bites. But he often is in this mood. He really didn’t bite at first but it’s almost gotten worse lol. I tell people not to point at him too. He will come right after you lol. He is currently molting and I’ve been watching a ton of your videos. I’ve only had him about 2/3 weeks now. He also won’t let anyone pet him or give scratches. He will let you if he’s showering though. But he’s super relaxed then which makes sense. He gets on your finger immediately though. I just wanna cuddle him so bad haha. But he still wants to be with me it seems. He’s like a little moody sour patch kid. I’m having a hard time reading him I guess and what things mean and why. It’ll just take time I suppose. I wonder if he’s also hormonal. But any advice would be awesome. I really want him to be so comfortable like how those bird moms hold them on their backs like little potatoes and they snuggle n do everything together. Something else I wondered too is I’ve only seen turquoise conures with a black beak and feet but his are white. Just thought that was interesting I don’t see white often on them it seems. Oh and I noticed your videos on food and they fed him pretty much an all seed diet. Which makes it hard to reward when he has a whole bowl of it. I’m starting to try to introduce him to veggies and fruits and do a chop and only have the seeds as treats. His cage I’m sure of that it is set up quite well. I put 100s of dollars into that thing and I was very happy to hear your advice on cage set up because I know I’m doing that part right atleast. I just don’t know what to do about the biting and how to get this bond if I’m being chomped on lol. Anyways, hopefully you can help🥹

Thank you!😀 when filming I don’t necessarily choose times when she will be sleepy (I don’t know when she wants to nap she just does!) it’s always been at different times with different people. She feels safe and happy and always loves to nap for some reason when I’m chatting, I think it’s soothing for her. I have a video on how to bond with your bird that might be helpful for you! When she came home the first week it was a lot about getting to know each other, taking things slow and making sure she felt comfortable, had a good diet etc. I have a CZcams video on that too!😊
Is F10 good to use for all types of parrots like african Grey's and macaws???
