    Oh my gosh! 😉That was a very interesting and intense podcast! Although my heart is still beating a little bit faster than normal with all those stories, I am glad I didn't miss it. Recommendable! And I have to admit, occasionally I kiss my birds (cockatiels) too, despite knowing better. There is only so much I can do for my beloved birds to provide them with healthy food, a safe environment, a loving home and care etc. without getting paranoid, not doing enough or doing something wrong.

      The info is to help make us more aware and understand our birds needs better❤ I'm grateful for all the stories and examples Dr.Octavio was able to share with us! I think as parronts we are trying our best & thanks for tuning in!🤗 (I also admit I kiss Mia; it's so hard not to when she is so cute!!)

    I appreciate the good doctors great advice. Unfortunately there is so much "expert" information out there that it can be confusing and overwhelming for parrot parents. I wish there was more of a consenses about seeds. I guess the best thing is to have your bird's health monitored regularly by an avian vet.

    • @PoodlesandParrots
      @PoodlesandParrots  Před dnem

      Great advice, for sure!😊 With seeds, what it comes down to, especially with what we learned in this episode, is that birds who have been on an all-seed diet need to get off seeds because they become addicted and an all-seed diet, of course, isn't a healthy or nutritious diet. But if it's a bird that isn't/hasn't been on an all-seed diet, then a moderate amount of healthy seeds is good for them, and even more so when we soak or sprout them! poodlesandparrots.com/blog/posts/how-to-make-seeds-healthy-for-parrots

    Could you post some photos of normal vs abnormal droppings? I’m wanting to see about how much white is normal? Thanks

      In this video version, I included some photos in different parts when we talk about the droppings; for the abnormal droppings, it's hard to include a picture of each bird's situation. Here's a couple resources; bestbehavedbirds.com/2022/08/13/all-about-parrot-poop-and-parrot-poop-guide/ and www.thesprucepets.com/bird-poop-101-390429
