Since this list heavily features pro-Yankees highlights, here are a couple pro-Red Sox highlights they conveniently left out:
-Joe Kelly Fight Club
-2018 ALDS Game 3
-2007 when the Red Sox went back to back to back to back
-2021 Wild Card game
-1999 when Pedro Martinez struck out 18 Yankees and allowed one hit
This was made in April of 2020 when no live sports occurred cause of covid lockdown why would they put the 2021 wild card game what they left out is arod homerun in 2009 that went to 15 innings and the Ryan dempser incident in 2013
@@Frankieefootballmundialthis is the issue with ESPN though, they are anti-Boston in any sport. Their announcers always critique our playing and show more excitement and energy for the other team. There are still plenty of things between 2004 and 2020 that occurred in the rivalry that would surpass some of the moments in the 20th century.

I just don't know how the Yankees blow a 3 nothing lead. That's one of the biggest chokes of all time alongside 28 to 3 in Super Bowl 51 and the 3 to 1 series lead in the 2016 nba finals and 2016 mlb world series
How are you guys gonna make a top ten of this rivalry and only mention 2004 until the end... you could've had 5 of the top 5 moments just be from the 2004 series.. and 8 of the 10 were exclusively Yankees accomplishments... come on man

That 3-0 comeback is one of the greatest comebacks in world sports. Its up there with the champions league game barca vs PSG. Cleveland vs Golden state.

One game that stands out for me in the rivalry is the ESPN Sunday night game on Memorial Day weekend in 2000. The Sox won 2-0. It still is one of the greatest games I've ever watched.

My favorite moment in the rivalry needs to be mentioned as it was a moment in the rivalry Bucky Dent FIRED as manager of the Yankees in Boston! The firing was a sense of payback for the Red Sox for the home run.

The only other player to do that? Babe Ruth. That’s some good company to associate yourself with, right there. But I could’ve sworn Bucky (Bleep)ing Dent would’ve been #1 because that’s the only moment of his entire career that anyone actually remembers.
