That's true: in engineering classrooms we rarely have this kind of excellent information, and the presentation is excellent, it worth more than hours of mathematics & formulas
By the way, the newest design tools have a great focus in "topology optimization"... that's why is explained here.
Thank you very much!
This is literally the best, most engaging lesson I have ever had; what a space frame is, how it works, and the visualization of how it is applied!
Triangles are an engineer's best friend. 1 lecture n my whole engineering knowledge shifts🤯
What a treat to watch a presenter who really knows what a space frame is!
My two go-to modelling methods are soft soldered brazing rod and hot melt glued drinking straws - they'll quickly show you any missing triangulation.
Very Nice . I remember most of this from “Chassis Engineering” by Herb Adams”. Especially the use of scale chassis models and levers for chassis deflection. I didn’t notice the use of shear panels in place of tubes for chassis design and triangulation.
Wow... magnificent stuff. Geometry makes rigidity.. now I get why honeycomb aluminum core is so important in Carbon monocoque designs
I'm crying right now, this was magnificent.
I need to show this to my students. And by students, I mean friends. And by friends, I mean dogs. And by dogs, I mean tools... I need friends.
hola amigo
F
@Harrison Desmond did you use triangles?
You're your best friend
I have been looking for a video like this for a while now. Excellently done, sir! Thank you!
This is excellent, we need this in schools!!!
Lu sekolah di stm?
im glad that you put these up it is extremely important to see things for yourself. hands on experience so to speak
Great video. The process to describe the theory was well thought out and well executed. There was a small technicality in terminology but nothing anyone should hold an individual accountable for in a live presentation. Loved it.
even when I was prepared to be blown away, it blew me away even more than what I thought
This is fantastic! Im starting to learn about automotive design in my spare time and this explanation is truly excellent! Thank you!
Incredible. This deserves a lot more views!
This video is so great.. so much information explained easily... thank you sir for this video 😊🙏
thx for all, M.Robert !
Amazing explanation professor.
Best description of the fundamentals EVER
An absolute masterclass. Thank you.
Very good explanation. I want to study in your class.👍👏
This is so amazingly well explained
Genius ! More of this learning across the board please 👍
Thank you so much.
Every time I watch real demos of what I was studying in class I feel I want to cry. WHY DON'T THEY DO THIS IN CLASS!
is it that hard to put some pieces of wood and show the demo!
does it cost an arm and leg to build it. I just don't understand.
Just glad I live in this time and age
Great visualization.
At first I stared in amazement, then I laughed soo hard...amazing lecture
This is fantastic. Thanks
Excellent!
Great teacher! 😁👍
I enjoyed this more than I have enjoyed studying automobile engineering.
Fantastic !!! Please more :)
wait... i already know this,
the video is so good i watched it to the end lol
Excellent Video Sir
Great.
Gracias sr Roberts. Salud🤙
dLots of off-road vehicles use the ladder type chassis design like land rover and suzuki and the reason an article suggested is that it produces minimum to no flex which is opposite to whats being demonstrated in the video. i am a bit confused. is there something i'm missing here ??
Does anybody know what book he is speaking of?
Why such things aren't taught in our class...
I'm not done yet❤❤❤❤❤❤
Triangles are engineers best friend 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Was really having trouble making best friends..glad I chose engineering!
Trusses, Frames finally coming to Life....
Awesome 🤓
You saved me. Thank you
👍 amazing
I'm learning everything I can about chassis design to build one for my 1967 mustang, If anyone has tips please let me know, everything helps :)
AWESOME
is chassis frame the start points of every vehicle ?
thank you so much , lot of likes
thanks!!!
Doesnt the rear engine mounts and engine block count as a cross member
In the context of the ladder chassis with limited wheel travel wouldnt the ladder chassis keep the rubber to the road better due to the flexibility hence be an asset over the other box and angled chassis with the same amount of wheel travel
chassis should not be made to do the job of a suspension, if that is what you are asking.
@@SurajThapa-gv9tx Unless we are talking gokart.
Structural rigidity comes more from geometry than the structure of the material 🤯🤯🤯
👍
Just learned
wowww
I went nuts at the end there.
Triangles rock👍🏼
Make more vedios on f1 cars
“Triangles is an engineers best friend.” 👉🏼📐🛕
Cybertruck?
Oh my
Who is here after cybertruck unveil
yep :) and I've been sharing with others to show why that design was chosen. People don't understand that it's 18x using the same material. That's absurd!
