it surprises me, hundreds of the so called "best" compilations on CZcams, and they never put Karise in them. she has been the best EVER in the blind auditions.
They don't pay near enough attention to the Australian singers

She had a meltdown during this show, seal brought her back from losing herself, I'm so glad she beat her demons to win. She then stepped back as it all got too much for her...again she came back with a vengeance. She is a fighter, that voice you hear, is all her pain and anger coming out. She's amazing!!
Thank you for telling us, I was definitely wondering what happened to her & I had a bad feeling for some reason. I'm incredibly happy she is fighting through it!

It took 12 seconds from the song starting to the 4 chairs turning....that wasnt an audition , it was a privilege to hear

What else can you call a man who steps up with love and selflessness, and chooses to take on the role of a father (without being in a relationship with the bio mother) for a child without their bio father in their life?

If it helps, the difference between foster parents and adoptive parents is that adoptive parents take the child on as their own (officially, via the courts), whereas foster parents either act as parents temporarily (for short periods of time) or they do the job for longer without "officially" becoming parents.

No matter how many auditions I watch, this will always be my favourite. So many people have beautiful voice, but there is a soul and a pain to her voice that can not be matched with any amount of training, she stands out and this voice is one in a billion. Her voice is so expressive and beautiful, they were lucky to see that.
This woman is a phenomenon. I watched her years ago doing this show all the way in Johannesburg. Love her. Triumph over adversity.

No one knew how much pain already was in her when she gave that audition. That's what makes me cry. When you watch now her arms you can see her suffering she expressed in her tattoos.

You could tell Seal knew without a doubt she had lived hard times and it came across in her voice. One of my go to vids, love her voice.
There's a line in the movie "Burlesque" that sums it up. "She doesn't sing like that because she's had it easy."

She's got an amazing, unique singing voice, which sounds nothing like her talking voice. Love it. (She won season 1 of the Voice Australia. And I did not know that Keith Urban was Australian; for some reason I thought he was American.)

I remember the very first time I heard this young woman's voice, and I had the immediate same reaction as everyone, particularly Seal. I mean to hear the power and soul in her voice, I knew immediately that she is truly blessed as a singer.

Best voice in the world with the most crushed spirit.....humans can be so cruel to children. Every time I listen to her voice I have to keep reminding myself to not go into my own spiral about how cruel life is and how horrible life can be, and why are we here.....what does it all mean??!! Ugh...then I take a deep breath and remind myself that this is her journey through life and her lessons and such, and for me to not feel the emotions for her...I've gathered my own wisdom through my own trials and tribulations and wouldn't trade them for anything, would've preferred to not have to travel thru the murk in the first place and all, but, we all have to one way or another. I do wish her long life and abundant wisdom and many more smiling moments in her life, hopefully not in spite of her past but because she's learned to let all the pain fall by the wayside and not be her permanent baggage in life.....Peace to all in 2021......
