    Absolutely impressed with Ervinas Facilities Management. They do local homes but also specialize in ranch properties. Their expertise in land and ranch management is truly unmatched. They don't just stop at managing; they help you find your dream property and even assist in the building process. It's a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to turn their rural property dreams into reality. I highly recommend their services for all your land and ranch needs!

    Is there any place in the mountains were you can legally live off grid. Composting toilet, solar power, have your water trucked in?

    Architects design a home around a particular site. You don't "go out and get blueprints" then look for land. You're baked.

  • @tomschneider7555
    @tomschneider7555 Před 3 měsíci

    At 1:13 min you are saying someone should get (i.e. buy) blueprints and architectural drawings before buying the land. That doesn’t make any sense to me.
    Just check the zoning what is allowed to build and how big of a footprint. So much of the architecture of a house depends on slope and orientation, soil etc. So you need to know all of that before spending money on blueprints.

    Thanks for the great information. We are thinking about having a second home in colorado and living there half the year. This was all great information that I didn't even know about. Keep up the great work!

    Great video. You guys rock! I looked for properties in evergreen and had to mortgage my kids lol to get a piece of land there. So i dropped evergreen and bought me a nice lot for a pretty penny in pine,co that was ongrid Super excited about building our dream house when the RE crazyness cools down

      @@SomewhereInColorado you covered pretty much all. Not sure if these are relevant to the topic but I thought of 2 things that could help 1. Access to fire station helps with insurability of house 2.access to hospital and emergency services. fire station is about 5 minutes away for me in pine junction which is not bad but going to hospital is a trek for me going all the way to lakewood.keep up the good work guys

      @@srikanthk5769 Congrats man. May I know what resources did you use to investigate about the properties? Did realtor helped you with this process? I am too looking for a mountain property where i can build a small cabin on in future especially to escape the heat from summer denver.

      @@sumitshresth thanks sumit. I live out of state and found a local foothills realtor. I started out in evergreen and hardly any decent lots are left, couldn’t find nothing and kept moving south until i find a nice flat 2 acre lot by staunton state park. I am sure these moxie guys can help you find a decent lot.

    My wife and I have been looking at land in CO. We wouldn’t be interested in building for 10-15 years. It wouldn’t have to be in the mountain. But we would like to be able to see them. Do you have any recommendations?

    • @kingab6865
      @kingab6865 Před rokem +1

      I can tell you from own experience, land prices keep climbing up. It's has become competitive as well. I just purchased 2.3 acres in Colorado to build in the future. I'm afraid if I waited to buy land when I'm ready to build, it would simply be too expensive. Buy now.

    anyone have any great resources on what to look for (good and bad aspects of it) when buying sloped land?

    • @SomewhereInColorado
      @SomewhereInColorado  Před rokem

      They can build on most any Hillside and the driveway is the first element to consider. It can't be more than a 10% slope and there must be the ability for a firetruck to pivot

    Try adding "six off-grid acres with a sweet, 1970's year-round cabin with septic, solar, cistern, indoor plumbing, hot shower, well permit, no neighbors in sight, unobstructed views of Indian Peaks on James Creek in Boulder County" to your search. We bought this piece of heaven in Ward, the best place to live in Colorado, for $225K!
