We've been looking at these properties around Trinidad or a couple years to build a retirement home. These are still affordable, nice size properties. The biggest problem is water. Water wells can be expensive especially at the top of a mountain.
You can gather the moisture in the air to create water.

Fracking gas wells uses contaminated water for digging free the gas. The underground water may be contaminated.
This is a question but when you go surround your houses with gas Wells isn't that a fire hazard and a forest hazard?
Yes.
I have a quick trip to Colorado Springs coming up. It is a bit too far for me to sneak away and visit this beautiful l property, but at least I can get back into the "Great American West!"
Very cheapest, Very well climate, and warm nature posibil dry weather.
Donât throw any lit cigarettes out your vehicle windowsâŠâŠKABOOM!!!

Is it safe to live near gas wells?
I was raised in Navajo ranch resorts my whole life. Love it here, by silver mtn. And the Spanish peaks. But I do not like the fracking that's is happening. Reminds me of the Ludlow massacre. They do what ever they want, destroy one spot, then move on to the next.
@@taliarose6573 what is your answer for this? Should we burn some cow patties? Honest question. People hate energy until they realize they have to give up their way of life in modern times. Just wait, they have big goals, your gas will be 3 times what it was by end of year. Guess it's time to buy some good shoes, and buy some good jackets.
@@exposingthetruth3821 These practices are well regulated and monitored. These wells would not bother me...
All of Colorado/Rocky Mountains has issues with gas and oil well contamination. Not just from cheap wells contaminating the Aquifer, but from wells contaminating the air, as well. Aside from the microbial methane, oil and gas wells have been found to leak methane and other natural gases such as propane and butane due to faulty or unsuitably shallow surface casings. "The one chemical with the highest caner causing byproduct and of the most concern was benzene" Older gas wells built as far back as the 1970s were typically cased to a depth of approximately 300 feet, leaving the stateâs deepest water aquifers unprotected from potential gas leaks. Updated regulatory standards have since required that new wells be cased far deeper and a number of older wells are currently being repaired.
Well heads after all the hydraulic fracturing equipment has been taken off location.
Between 2001 and 2014 (the last year of complete data), dissolved gas that could be directly linked to deep oil- and gas-bearing formations affected 42 water wells in 32 separate incident cases, a rate of about two cases per year. That rate did not change after the introduction of horizontal drilling and high-volume hydraulic fracturing in the state in 2010. Eleven of those cases could be linked to older, vertical wells drilled before 1993. The remaining 21 cases were either settled privately with the landowner, or remain unresolved due to lack of data.
However, never trust anything the MSM reports, who need dramatic headline to sell fear. Talk to residence/farmers at locale gatherings and seek county data. Water is our most important resource.

@@exposingthetruth3821 you do not want to hear my answer on this subject. Maybe in the future.
Too bad there are so many wells in the area. Earthquakes are pretty common in that area as a result đł
đČđČđČđČ
I think the earthquakes have been occurring since long before any fracking. Isnât that how mountains are formed?
@@1972xlh Two things;
Yes, earthquakes happen in the area. Another reason NOT to upset the surrounding area, or, much more importantly, to contaminate areas nearby, particularly groundwater.
But part of the mountains in the area were formed by glaciers carving out the land as they broke loose and moved
But fracking is something that destroys the surrounding environment, regardless of the area. It is always destructive to the surrounding area, particularly by pushing dangerous chemicals and forced gasses into areas that are below the water table and contaminate it.
It's always a poor choice.
(It Also destabilizes the surrounding rocks and soil, causing landslides and destruction of any buildings in the area. )
I want to buy it if i am given Nationality of USA
