At some point as a lifetime Mexican fan you have to ask when will it stop? Repeatedly Mexico has always perform well against most bigger teams but when it matters the MOST that’s when El Tri flops and it is sometimes massively. In Copa America against Chile. In Confed Cup against Germany. This World Cup against Sweden. We have talent and we have the unity. We just need to just get it together.

Explain me how Sweden ended up second in their Qualifing Group behind France, but still second and the Netherlands ended up being 3rd and out behind Sweden. After that Sweden kicked out Italy in the Playoffs, on their way to the World Cup. Sweden is better than Mexico and the 3-0 showed it. Deal with it.

Mexico is a bipolar team, you never know what team is gonna show up , as a mexico fan,I think the lack of inconsistency is the number one problem , like it or not, there's class there , u can argue and say its easy for mexico to get to the world cup because they play in the concacaf region , but you can't deny that when they get there, they always get out of the group stage no matter what ,and that is hard to do year after year , so spare me that they completely sux that they have no class that there in an easy region, a lot of the times certain teams make it far because they put themselves in the easy road , like Argentina usually finishes first and end up playing easier teams , but it didn't happen this year and looked what happened , my point is when u look at all the teams that have eliminated mexico in the past 3 WC, have been Argentina twice and Holland those are not sorry teams what's so ever , I think what is most disappointing to me in this world cup, is that for once we could have finished top of the group and could have face an easier side, but by not doing so, this was the result .

I agree with the Mexican analyst, they have good player but the federations and their exposure to different regions is limited. Brasil is a well rounded team. Mexican people discriminate against Mexican players doing things unorthodox and criticize young talent and force them to change the way they play. Great players exploit their talents and in Mexican futbol one is not allowed to do outstanding or flashy things. It is clear that the reason why great teams win is because they let their youth develop differently. Mexico needs to change the way we develop players from the youth level. Let the youth grow and do whatever they do good. Look for different forms of talent. 🤘

But losing 20 years at same position is ridiculous like they never learn from their mistakes from the same opponent every new team always crush Mexico like they are a leaf in the street. As Mexico fans we definitely are our own worst critic. The inconsistencies between matches is annoying and ultimately the team’s downfall. At this point people of tired of a mediocre performance, the fans really want to see this team live up to its full potential but unfortunately we only get a few glimpse of it in certain matches and circumstances. They may not be able to complete player for player with the big teams but they need to be able finish and get those results as a team.

I had swapped team to USMNT and still have never looked back. yeah US soccer is much weaker BUT they weren’t consistently that bad over the course of years and didn’t lose their composure nor their dedication and that is what I want to see. Talk about two different cultures. I’ll only watch Mexico game during the World Cup or when they’re in the relevant tournament.

Brazil's defense was just flat out on point. Everytime Mexico tried to create something they flat out cut them out with 2 defenders and blocked shots. It wasn't a bad game by Mexico to be honest, Brazil just played better defensively and their offense just hit Mexico on two good counters. 2nd goal could have been avoided though if that last defender wasn't the only one trying to play the offside line.
From these pundits, they are basically praising Mexico knowing that they can eventually get over the hump. They know that Mexico always comes to play and give top teams a game. But again, they management to put up fights against the two favorites of the tournament (Brazil and Germany) but lose to Sweden? That's inconsistency at it's finest.

Mexico simply doesn't have enough players with regular minutes / starting places at clubs in the top 4 leagues in the world, La Liga, the Premier League, the Bundesliga and Serie A.
The fact that the Liga MX is so wealthy is a problem, as many Mexican players understandably would rather stay at home rather than play for a mid-table Serie A or La Liga club and make less money and have to fight harder for a starting place.

It’s because of Mexican fans that keep saying how proud we should be because our players gave it all and had heart that the Mexican national team doesn’t progress. It’s been 28 years of the same stagnant crap. Why can’t we develop players like Brazil, or have a youth structure like Germany? We’ve had three decades to make serious changes after disappointing world cups, yet nothing is ever done. The Mexican team is mediocre and corrupt, and they will stay like that if people keep being proud of their mediocrity.

I'm a Mexican fan, and at this point I've lost hope for El Tri.

Mexico has the potential to be a top level team like Brazil and Argentina but their players are nowhere near great. Fans love to showboat how their team is going to beat every team but always fails and come up short. CONCACAF is another issue since there’s a lack of competition in that region it makes Mexico shine with the USA as the top dogs of the region. Let’s bring Mexico to South America because Brazil, Argentina, Colombia,Chile and Uruguay will show them what real football ⚽️ is !!!

Mexico tried and just could not keep up with Brazil. JCO decides to start 39 year old Marquez and let him play 45 mins in the heat, and then made substitutions very early while Brazil made substitutions around the 85th min which is smart, later Brazil then took advantage of México in the 2nd half, I saw the stats and Brazil made 10 shots on goal while Mexico only made 1. Something tells me if it wasn’t for Ochoa Mexico would have been embarrassed. It could’ve been 5-0, 6-0 or even 7-0 Brazil. Mexico was lucky to lose only 2-0

The question at the beginning "Would any of these Mexico players be in Brazil's starting eleven?" could be swapped with "Would any of these Mexico players be in Brazil's 23 men squad?" The answer would be the same. Mexico isn't a great team, period. They don't have one single player playing at a top tier club. Chicharito isn't the guy who plays in the starting eleven of Manchester United anymore, he is a guy who scored 8 goals last season for West Ham. Maybe Lozano will become that star player one day but he also isn't there yet. The truth is that Mexico is lucky to even get out of the group stage so many times in a row. Would this country play in South America or Europe they would have troubles qualifying for the World Cup on a consistent basis. They played well this year, deservedly qualified for the round of sixteen, but at some point you have to accept that your team isn't a WC contender and you shouldn't be angry if they don't make it to the last 8 teams.

Not saying you didn't play well, just that with the kind of players Mexico has they should be happy to even get into the round of sixteen so often. Teams like Russia or Costa Rica have indeed made it further than Mexico, but they are just two out of dozens of countries. I live in Austria a country with a national team that currently has a higher market value than Mexico. I was born shortly after the World Cup in 1998 and how often do you think my team has made it to the quarterfinal in that time period? Zero times, and that's actually not surprising as in those last 5 editions Austria hasn't even made it to the world cup once. Again, Austria is a team that in theory should play on a level with Mexico but its success is nowhere near as big. The problem is that Mexicans seem to think their team is constantly underachieving while they are in fact doing the exact opposite.
I just looked it up and the Mexican team isn't even among the 20 national teams with the biggest market value. You are miles away from being Brazil, Germany, France, Spain... and you simply have to accept that.

I came into this tournament supporting 3 teams, England first and foremost as an Englishman, then Mexico and Japan as my underdog teams to root for, for a bit of fun. What really killed Mexico was the Sweden game, all they needed was a draw and they would have faced Switzerland rather than Brazil, sure, still not an easy game by any stretch but better than facing Brazil and they would have had a good chance of getting to their quarter final, instead Mexico tried to go at Sweden the same way as the other 2 games and got caught out by a stubborn and efficient Swedish team. It was bad tactics by their manager than ultimately helped to cost them a possible quarter final place.
One other thing worth mentioning was the absolute state of some of the time wasting that was going on in the Brazil - Mexico game and some of the play acting by the Brazilians was a disgrace., their has been too much of it in this tournament and too much of it by some of the top teams. If your that good, you shouldn't need to roll around on the floor pretending you've just been shot every 5 minutes. If they were doing that in any other environment rather than on a professional stage and in a professional game and they would have gone down holding their face (especially if they hadn't been hit in the face), they wouldn't be getting back on their feet, at least, not without a serious injury. You want a reason to roll around on the floor holding your face, your arm or your leg? Then we'll give you one.

The irate MEX correspondent on the left did make a valid point why MEX don’t like shipping their star players to Europe i.e., more revenue for the Mexican league. Ok! But it still comes down to quality which leaves a LOT to be desired vs the Brazil’s of the world who I don’t believe is the best team in the the WC. Brazil 🇧🇷 is doing what they’re suppose to against inferior competition. Even if MEX had their own playing significantly in Europe. Mex players remain lesser quality than CONMEBOL & UEFA players. CONCACAF quality is inferior. Period! Let’s not kid ourselves regardless of the politics.

Mexico football fans are delusional. Be proud of ur team beating s. Korea and especially germany and putting up a solid effort against brazil. Yes u didnt play that well in the last group match against sweden mostly cus of a strange situation with the group standings , but u need to lower ur expectations for ur team. If last 16 is a standard for u then why be so whiny? Its not like lost all games or failed to qualify to last 16. Or like USA failing to reach WC totally! Calm down, lower ur expectations for the national team and stop acting like your standard is always top 4 in a wc when u havent even reached last 8.

    • @Arnaukei
      @Arnaukei Před 6 lety

Clinchin 2k what you should look at, is the fact that they are stuck at a specific level for now 28 years... so for a fan is exhausting, having to be contented with the we tried pride. They want a change and to make a change you have to know what's wrong. Losing at the same stage for 28 years is relevant unless you accept mediocrity just for the fact that other teams lose there too.

We need our 90's team now more than ever. But what we also need are players like Hugo, Rafa, Benjamin Galindo, Cuahtemoc, Jorge Campos, And El Matador all at once. All of them in their prime or young all at once. But we can't do it if we keep our players in Mexico and not in Europe.
