      Because it’s not Korea that shocked us, it’s Germany. No matter how well Korea played, Germany still should have won as long as they don’t play like amateurs, if Korea played well, 1-0, if not, 2 or more -0.

    Ozil was the only player against South Korea that played an incisive pass, there were three or four occasions he saw something brilliant, also that one two on the left and reverse pass into the box that almost ended in a goal, was his doing. But let's just jump on Ozil because it's easy and the whole German team didn't perform.

    • @NinaC
      @NinaC Před 6 lety

      Agreed. He kept on assisting Mats Hummels. It is not his fault that Hummels cannot convert those into goals.

    • @danielmuriithi8486
      @danielmuriithi8486 Před 6 lety +4

      The excuse given about Ozil is that he's slowing down the game. I think people are tired of seeing Germany possessing the ball for like 10 minutes without having a go for goal. People think that Ozil can't fit in in a counter attacking system

    • @NinaC
      @NinaC Před 6 lety +1

      Daniel Muriithi You have a good point. This is my main frustration on the game. Germany was so slow on the counter attacks. He seems to wait for the defense to settle in first. Guess his style is not suited.

    • @danielmuriithi8486
      @danielmuriithi8486 Před 6 lety +2

      Most people who will criticize this team must be admirers of the confederation cup squad, since they had more counter attacking instinct and defensive awareness. And with these young players not being given enough playtime as many would have expected, I feel that there was frustration with the could have situation. Also many people don't trust that the managers system will be effective for the young talent. So for them a full overhaul needs to be done on that team

      Korea had beaten Germany 3-1 with only 10 players before in 2004. They beat Germany who with one less players ( 10 vs 11 ) so it's no surprise that Korea wins. the leftmost guy was right, i watched germany push the ball up into south korea's half and then ping it around till the defense was settled, then tried to get in when the penalty box was full. south korea at least pushed it upfield with pace and got way better chances all game, if heung min son had been on his game germany would have lost by more. As a die hard German fan, I can’t comprehend what has happened, yet I’m confused how people are gonna sit there and say Korea had better Chavez and played better with the ball when they really just did not, everytime they were attacking, Hummels and Süle stopped them with great tackles, I think the Merciful and clinical side of Germnay did not show up this year because as seen in the Sweden and Korea game, there were in both games atleast 4 Chances where in any other given say Germnay would tuck away and score easily, also I don’t think the creativity was there also to break down an 11 man defense in two and a half games, no other team can break down 11 men in defense too, the only team to win against a team with that tactic in this World Cup was Spain against my dear Iran, yet there goal was extremely lucky as diego costa horns lucky deflection of his own knee, but anyway I think for this bright generation of German players that have given us so much joy from 2008 till now, we should always have an but if respect for what this one generation of Muller, Ozil, Boateng, Hummels, neuer, Khediera, etc has been able to do, cuz I would like someone to name a team that has made the semi finals in six major tournaments in a row like this Recent German generation has, but in the end, Germany is out now, and must focus on their rebuild and be prepared to make a statement at Euro 2020 which will be the last chance for Germnay to gain some silver ware before they enter into the new generation of German Futbol officially,

Some even argue that this squad had more talent than 2014 squad. Let's be real, would Sane have made that big of deal? probably not...They need to reevaluate and somebody needs to step up and be a leader teammates can rally behind.

    Simple our strikers were atrocious this WC . If u can’t score you won’t win. you could see Klose’s impact for our previous squads. Really pathetic performance every game we played and this is truly embarrassing German football . but the difference between Germany and every other country is that I know they’ll come back stronger . the talent they’ll produce and the motivation they’ll have for the next few tournament is gonna be huge . Sad thing is this was probably Neuer’s last WC and I really wanted to see him shine in that big stage again . We lacked motivation since we won 4 years ago but this is something you wouldn’t expect from Germany . As a German fan now that Germany is out I wish the best to Argentina . Really want to see the greatest player of all time win a World Cup , he deserves it. However, the best team in the tournament is Belgium and I wouldn’t be surprise if they win their first trophy this Summer .

      Okok , you're right. Since the 2002 world cup, Klose had always been Germany's go to man. He bailed them several times. He was a goal poacher supreme. Sadly Thomas Muller who was expected to take over from him has failed miserably. Klose never really received the praise he deserved for his goal scoring instinct for Deutschland.

    • @trauko1388
      @trauko1388 Před 6 lety +12

      LOL!!! He "deserves" it? How? Why? He DISSAPPEARS every time he plays a decent team, he may be some monster playing small Spanish teams, but we play him all the time in international games in South America and he is easy to counter, which is why HE HAS NEVER WON ANYTHING WITH ARGENTINA!

    • @OhRunning
      @OhRunning Před 6 lety +9

      trauko1388 he’s the greatest player of all time . Argentina shows no appreciation for him . They have a joke of a manager managing their team. Also go read articles to see how much problems the Argentinian football association is having rn . It’s not just about football . Like recently they landed in a Russian city with their plane only with 10 minutes of gas left . That’s a plane boarding a billion dollar amount of talent .... there’s more than football factors for why Argentinian players don’t even want to to play for their national team . There’s a reason why there has been 4 Argentinian Football Presidents in the last 4 years

    • @kyekyeeminah8734
      @kyekyeeminah8734 Před 6 lety +3

      trauko1388 , not his fault bro. When the coaches keep picking wrong players and putting good ones on the bench you can't always blame him. Argentina has far too many talented forwards for them to only depend on Messi. Look at this world cup for instance. I can do a better job than the Sampaoli. Everyone knew Banega had to be the playmaker but the coach kept him away from the team. A midfield of Banega, Lo Celso and Mascherano would have excelled but the coach was blind. When you're chasing a goal do you bring on Meaza when you have Dybala on the bench? Argentina's coaches have been their worst enemies. Like Pekerman in 2006 who took off Riquelme and left Messi on the bench allowing Germany to equalise late and win on penalties. Maradona did similar in 2010 when he left Zanetti home after he had just won the Champions league with Inter and chose Gutierrez a midfielder as a right back. I feel Simeone may be the best coach for Argentina.

    • @trauko1388
      @trauko1388 Před 6 lety +7

      Sorry but no, see how many coaches MEssi has had, where do you place the line where it is no longer the coach but the players responsibility?
      Messi can and is countered by decent opposition, he may be good against BAD sides, but that is hardly relevant, whenever he faces serious opposition he ddissappears, at this point he is a sign of the times, marketing ran amok overhyping players that do not really deserve it.
      People keep calling him the GOAT... I have seen enough football to know better than just follow the sheep, he is very good, but he has not succeeded in being relevant internationally and for me that is enough to even consider him in the run for GOAT, raping small Spanish or even European teams is simply not nearly enough.

This is the first time I have watched him on international scale (i dont really follow Bundesliga) and I think if he would have been in Ozil's position as the playmaker it may have a different result. What Germany lacks right now is leadership or someone who can rally them on crucial times. The moment South Korea was awarded of the goal you can see how they panicked and lost the spirit. Sad, but lesson learned.

    And as it turns out the only controversial decision Löw made before the World Cup, not bringing Sane, turns out to be some sort of messiah that would have literally save the whole team. And let me remind you that most people thought that he wasn't even needed, and Germany will cruise through the championship anyways.
    Not only that but he hasn't score a single goal with the German Jersey. People are saying that he should have been for Timo Werner because they weren't getting any goals, but, the thing is as I said before Sane is not prolific at goal and that's normal because he's a creative player or a winger. Unlike Timo who is a striker and has 8 goals with his national team. If Sane was replacing someone, that had to be Kroos, Müller(in the position that he was played in this wc), Özil, Reus, Draxler, etc. And that simply wasn't happening for a 22 year old. He wasn't a Messiah that would save the team and they were foolish not to call him and deserve every punishment for it, he just didn't prove his worth in time for the world cup in the eyes of a guy that was conducting a (probably former) long project that would prevail after the world cup and he would have plenty of chances to prove he's good enough (I'm talking about Joachim Löw, whom up to this point had enjoyed a very successful spell as manager of the german national team)
    By the way, I'm sure everyone that supported this team specially German people are sad for their performance and elimination. That includes Sane.

The World Cup is far more competitive, you can’t just walk over teams. Even when teams are getting battered like panama against England they still fight to the death. In the champions league you’d never see a team of South Korea’s level beat a team of Germany’s level, just wouldn’t happen. World Cup is far more difficult which is why players like ronaldo and Messi who win champions leagues with ease struggle in this competition

    No style from this German team. No matter how talented the players were...Germany usually are tactically set up and organised, whilst they play to a system. This lacked all the above. The severe lack of pace was evident. How the hell can you leave out Leroy Sane? Don't give me the " he hasn't played well for Germany lately" The manager did not get the best out of Sane...the team with Brandt (Starting) and Sane...would have been ideal with there movement and pace. Kroos would have played is natural game. However all we saw....is tactically inept Germany!

      Oh I know what fairplay is.
      But we heard 7x1 jokes during 4 years and we'll hear them forever, do you know why? BEACUSE IT'S HUMILLIATING! And people HAVE TO make jokes about it, cause that's what football is! Winning, losing, crying, being disappointed, thousands of different feelings in a small lack of time, INCLUDING having sense of humor is part of it! When something like that happens to Germany or Brazil, it will be in history forever, people WILL and they HAVE TO talk about it.
      Don't get it wrong: fairplay doesn't have ANYTHING to do with those kind of jokes.

      Nicholas Fuoco well and your team got knocked out by Belgium in the quarterfinals, that is also a big upset for Brasil! Oh yeah and since the beginning of the wc Brasilian fans were saying that only Brasil will win this WC and for the 6 th time, we'll that clearly didn't happen! It's South Americas time to take the wc, my ass, since the semifinal were only European nation playing football!

      Brazil got it's independence 200 years back, and it's a country of Native Americans, Africans, other Europeans other than the Portuguese colonizers. Don't go back to the ancient times, it will hurt a lot of feelings. Portuguese were not at all good people at that time.

    "German team doesn't have enough depth"? I don't go for Germany and to be honest I was laughing when I saw Germany lost, but you have to be stupid to think Germany doesn't have great depth and a wealth of young talent, the team was really a shambles and didn't have leaders like Lahm, Schweiny and Klose. Low should've looked to rebuild the team with young players in all positions across the pitch who actually have desire to win it after the vanguard retired in 2014.
