I was born and brought up in North India.
I went to Puducherry and Pichavaram for a trip and I saw something unusual about the politics there.
It was somehow different.
Very different than it is here in the north or even in Karnataka.
I also visited Banglore.
It looked normal to me.
But TN was different.
And I knew today, why it is.

The real godfather of tamilnadu politics is kamaraj. MGR is nowhere near him. Just because he is a actor turned politician doesn't make him the godfather. First of all you should talk about the justice party if you want to talk about tamilnadu politics.

Whenever electioneering begins in TN irrespective of party affiliations all leaders are after his name and for that matter not even so called acclaimed late Jayalalitha.

umm nice documentary but not very accurate tho, mgr was the same level as kalaingar and Jayalalitha, the real god father would have to be Anna, because he was kalaingar and mgr's mentor. Also sasikala is not that big a player in tn politics.

MGR is not a god father of TN and even AIADMK cadres or MGR/Jaya will not agree on this.
Periyar is the god father of TN and both AIADMK/DMK are following Periyar’s ideologies.
No one can start a party in TN without DRAVIDAM in the party name like a family name. (aka God father).
Kamaraj is the best CM of TN and every citizen of TN will accept including DMK, AIADMK, Congress, Communist and BJP.
MGR rule was the black period of TN and there was no development in his rule even though he ruled 3 continues terms.
