@@izmanq I had the same problem yesterday.. every person was drowned out. Seems fine now, they must have fixed it
Audio mixing is actually worse than you probably think. The voice mixing grates on my ears, so I set my computer audio to mono. Turns out the left and right channels are literal, mathematical inverses of each other. So, when you switch audio to mono, the music remains but the voices go 100% away. It's a cool trick, but a terrible way to master audio.
Peter is an amazing genius. He is the vision behind Tesla. Looking forward to own a Lucid👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Tesla is the only leader in the EV space. Everyone else is years behind. 400,000 Lucid cars in 2025? Tesla double that now! God knows where they will be in 2025.

@@Axelerated maybe not now, but it did and it will surpass this rate in the future. Lucid is just a car company. Tesla is more. Lucid has the high rate for now, but Tesla has the higher ceiling. @@Axelerated Tesla started to be barely profitable only after the ramp up of Model 3 a is now being saved by the economy of scale of the chinese gigafactory and its market. Lucid is supposed to be more of a premium EV manufacturer. Lower volumes, higher margin. They have no "economy" high volume car ready, that I now of. And China already have heavily subsidized Nio and Xpeng "premium" local manufacturers, that are crushing Tesla S and X in sales in China. It is going to be a tough battle for Lucid. Hopefully the Saudi money won't run out, I adore Lucid Air.
They are building a retail store in Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall too!

Would love to see another competitive (American) EV company. The production of this video is one of the best I've seen. Sound quality which some compromise on is excellent. From who else but CNBC. Maybe you can update us with a longer video as they approach production.

Mercedes EQS will show you what quality looks like.
This master Technician laughs at Mercedes quality. The only thing that’s quality is what you see inside the cabin maybe, under the hood is a different story. Mercedes is not what they used to be and if you think so you might wanna get a master technician right by your side and see for yourself. Mercedes as yesterday news and nothing impressed with the work out anymore

Serious question, what can Lucid offer the market that other competitors can’t? By 2023 Tesla will be stronger, GM and Ford will have competitive EV product. Lucid has a tough road ahead. I get the hype if you are in on the SPAC pre-merger, I just don’t see this as being a long hold. Maybe I’m missing something. Feel free to educate me...
I believe they will be Tesla’s main competition in the USA. They already have a manufacturing facility producing cars whereas (as far as I know, Ford and GM do not). I am a fan of GM acquiring that software company though and I think they will be competitive as well, but only a handful of EV companies will be around in the future and make it. And since Lucid has something being produced already I think they have a fair chance of surviving whereas tons of other EV companies don’t even have a product. Tesla will be the leader of them all of course, but those are just my thoughts. I have been collecting Tesla stock since 2017, I am heavy in NIO and I have CCIV (as hope) at $18 / share average so I try to be as up to date as possible lol
Biggest thing Mike, Lucid have the most efficient EV battery system which they'll be licensing out to other manufacturers in time. So they'll be making money from the cars AND from licenses with other manufacturers. They can make money in their sleep, selling less cars than Tesla and Nio but making the same profits.
They're basically entering at the Model Y stage, but with a system that's more efficient than anything the other car companies have. They need to get the car out there though this year, and they then need to ramp up production. I'm pretty confident many will be surprised.
@@Gwing152 Ford has the mustang mach e launching later this summer with models already in full production. GM also has the Bolt EV and per their website will have 30 cars in production by 2025. Both of those companies also have dealerships to distribute new vehicles all over the world and don’t forget about service network and repair parts. Lucid has to grow all of that. Not saying they can’t, I just personally think they will run out of cash before they can dent the market.
@@randomdaveUK that makes sense. I would be curious if they have any customers? If so, why not just focus on the battery tech and be a supplier? Why dilute yourself and try to compete against your future customers?
Please don’t compare Lucid to Tesla. Be realistic. Tesla are years ahead and so are their batteries. Lucid battery tech isn’t even proven yet as they havnt sold any cars?? Lucid will be lucky to get out 6,000 cars this year.
Wow. I just moved to casa grande. Purchased a home here. Right now i have to drive to Phoenix for work and the long commute is killing me. I also work 14 hour shifts Monday through Sunday for a decent check. This lucid facility is so close to my house. I'm curious now about working at this lucid facility. Looks interesting. Wonder if the pay is good. Not only that but it would also be amazing to be a part of something this big that is kicking off.

It did in fact say 22 an hour for general labor and 35 for a tech. 35 bucks would be hella amazing. Would basically make what i make now not having to work 12 hour shifts and weekends.

If you can’t compete with the Model 3 don’t even try . In the luxury market you need to contend with Porsche , BMW and Audi , and even the Tesla model S

20 years ago no one would have guessed that there would Electronic Vehicles. Today, there's is an entire market for EVs, same with all the other tech that have sprung up over the years.

The entire stock market is the place to be. Health and travel stocks set to skyrocket pending on covid, so that's good too. Smart money is exiting to assets and dumb money is holding on to cash savings.

So, simple math here from a noob: Plant current capacity is 34k, starting production in spring gives them full half year production if all is well, it will mean 17-20k cars for this year, 169k per car, at 20k that's 3.4B. Margins at this scale are non-existent, capx is huge, opx unknown, probably huge debt, unknown problems, etc, etc, etc.At ~50-60$ CCIV is 14B cap. This stock should be where Tesla was in 2011! At 20-30$. I honestly want Lucid to succeed and push everyone else forward, explore 900V arch, range advancements, etc, etc. Once those promises are proven by random youtubers, like Bjorn, Andy, etc I will invest into this company. Not sooner. Make your own decision, don't buy in based on EV hype and slick brand euphoria.

I'd sell now tbh, $80b market cap with a factory capacity of only 34,000 and they are yet to sell a single car. The valuation is sky high and they won't ever be able to live up to it. Nio makes better cars, will sell 100,000 minimum this year and is only months away from profitability. China is also the worlds biggest car market so they have other advantages.

Everytime I drive past this place the parking lot is empty. The literally built this place forty feet from two houses which are now empty. One day I saw a woman crying on her front porch and I stopped to chat with her. She was crying because they had to move. I really hope the company paid them to move and bought the houses. I work right next door and its bad enough the street is used for drag races but now the traffic will be bad once its running full capacity.

I hope that facility stays in Arizona. Same with Tesla in Nevada. We need more of this new EV industry to manufacture in the US. That means the federal government and state government's. Help these companies thrive. Don't be like California and force them to leave. If you force costs to high they are gone. So happy to see this in the states. Go Lucid!
