1988 Hatteras 65C S1-E1: Introduction & Yacht Tour

- This is our first in a video series on our 1988 Hatteras 65C sport fishing yacht. In this episode we introduce the vessel and our plans to share our experience along with a rather comprehensive yacht tour of every space.
We will be doing episodes on yacht systems that affect every owner, as well as some content that benefits the Hatteras owner. Hope you will subscribe and tune in for the work, play, and shenanigans that come up along the way.

That’s a gorgeous yacht. I’ve always been a fan of Hatteras. You two have done a wonderful job with her.
Thank you for the compliment. In our opinion, they represent a great era in boat design and construction. The sharp lines and stout construction really made the name for Hatteras.

I love your channel. You saved me about 850k $. Was going to buy an 80' Hatteras, but your constant work has convinced me (I'm 73 and health not great.). Need to find young couple to be live aboard crew/maintenance/cooking etc. Real eye opener, Thanks

Interesting seeing the transom live well. We had an '85 52 hatteras and the live well was in the deck. It was nice to have back then but very inconvenient.

Nice yacht. Lots of space. Love an engine room that you can stand up in. Just subscribed and looking forward to more. I'm a trawler yacht fan but this boat has a lot of similarity with them.
Thank you for joining the fun. We just did a trip out right around 100 miles offshore; would definitely agree we have some expedition type prep like a long range trawler would do. There is no one out there to help you. Cheers.
Loved the tour. My neighbors down the road have a Hatteras 65C, as well… I’ll have to find out if it’s also powered by 12V92s. Looking forward to more videos.
One request if I may: filming inside the boat with a wide angle lens will give a better perspective. Not sure what you’re filming with currently, but an iPhone is great for this.
Good deal, the Detroits were popular for so long because they weigh less / power produced than other diesel designs at the time, I'm happy with them. We actually do use an iPhone for a lot of this, but will try to get some better angles if we do a more interior focused video, thanks!

We had a 47' Riviera we were partnered on. We really do like the Hattys they are tanks.
