man i miss the wb. i remember in PHX, AZ WB61 was the best and as a kid we had cartoons after school. and we had fox kids and kids BW on that channel. now today we have stupid shit on that shit network CW. nothing but stupid reality shows, dumb dramas, lame sitcoms that aren't funny. and 4kids is just trash now if they need ratings play the shows from back in the like animaniacs, the old school power rangers, and all stuff we had as kids. Down with CW, long live WB!!!!

Yeesh, maybe I'm spoiled having grown up in Europe, but American network television is the worst. Just watching this intro piece: the meaningless lyrics and unfunny jokes, with a complete lack of class, subtlety or sophistication. It's like the American networks start with the assumption "Okay, our audience is really dumb, so let's keep the programming really dumbed down so no one has to think." But as studies have shown, watching TV actually slows down your brain into a sort of trance state: your brain becomes less active when you're watching TV than when you're asleep dreaming. It literally makes you stupider. Children who grow up in households watching TV at a young age end up achieving lower grades in later life, as their brains developed slightly less in their formative years from not having as much social interaction with their parents.
