- 2024-04-09 - On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse unfolded over Canada, the United States and Mexico. As the Moon aligned perfectly between Earth and the Sun, temporary darkness swept across parts of the country, captivating countless spectators.
Fortunately, Canadian Space Agency headquarters in Longueuil, Quebec, found itself on the path of totality, affording the opportunity to capture a mesmerizing timelapse of the event.

Great footage! I like your choice of music as well.
I also like the wide shot video clip at the end showing the passing of the moon's shadow. Longueuil was near the edge of the path of totality, and it really shows it. I kind of wish the time lapse was a bit slower. Also notice how fluffy the corona looked. It was also like that over Southern Ontario where I was.
@@pjmincanada5747 I was in London - was about 99% at my location. Pretty incredible how much light that 1% peeking through still generates!
We watched from Stoney Creek. It was spectacular and the whole neighbourhood was hooting and hollering! ☀🌙

Shame it's path didn't take it over western Canada too. Not that it would have mattered much beyond the 4 minutes of darkness, since it was pouring rain most of the day where I am.

Middle part of this video is fake 😮 (0:33 to 0:49 ) In Ottawa, we didn’t get to watch the 100% totality of eclipse. Was only 98% . We didn’t see the corona.
The video clearly shows that this occurred in Longueuil, Quebec, which was indeed in the path of totality
