To connect your DS4 without cabel you need: 1. Make sure you have Bluetooth adapter 2. Press "Share" and "PS" buttons on your dualshock 4. 3. Go to Bluetooth panel 4. Find the "Wireless controller" 5. Set it up. 5,1. If it's requesting a code you are writing there 0000 6. Use any app to emulate the xbox 360 controller.
Xbox 360 controller is flawless, but the xbox One controller has a terrible d-pad? Are you kidding me!? The Xbox One controller has better ergonomics, and its d-pad is infinitely better for 2D platformers and fighting games - short key travel ensures quick response times and it has a very tactile click on actuation. The 360 d-pad is mush and terribly imprecise - it's basically another joystick. As for the PS4 option, the PS4 controller uses standard bluetooth wireless - I've used the controller wirelessly no problem on my desktop to play NBA 2k14. Please do some more research.
***** I actually grew up on the N64, and no, most modern control sticks have more ambiguity than d-pads or control sticks like the one on the gamecube that had edges that clearly marked which direction the stick went.
you had a good topic but there are many things that could have been added/mentioned to make this video more informative and also there were some mistakes in your information. you didnt do enough research for this video. I expected a better dissection of these controllers and abilities not just what the general idea of these controllers already are. Okay 1. you didnt mention the annoying battery pack behind the 360 controller 2. you didnt mention the differences between the types of joy sticks (grip, convex, concave, durability, etc.) 3. you seemed to not know that you can connect the xbox one controller wired with a regular micro usb cable and gave misinformation (I have not heard of a wired specific version of this controller only the xbox 360 wired controller was this misinformation) 4. you didnt know about the actually advantageous wireless feature of the ps4 controller to connect through normal bluetooth that can be paired with almost any device. this was a big point that you completely missed awesome nerd points for, bluetooth set up is even in the ds4windows program. (you also didnt mention ds4windows ability for program specific automatic profile switching but it was a gaming video right, it can slide) 5. you didnt talk about ease of set up with any of the controllers(in my case the xbox controller was more difficult the the ps4 controller because for Win 8.1 i had to find the driver which Microsoft has made very difficult to find, ds4Win makes it a 3 step process laid out and simple) 5. you didnt talk about batteries, xbox controllers and the steam controllers need batteries but the ps4 controller has a built in rechargeable one which you would have to pay for if you wanted to add that on to the xbox controllers which isnt even available on the th steam controller *couldbe wrong* and mentioning battery life would have been a good stat to list as well 6. you didnt go into enough detail about cost specifically cost vs features, steam controller is the only one that comes wireless capable no questions asked, ps4 is next only needing built-in or added bluetooth ability, both xbox controllers have and annoyingly large dongle you need to BUY to gain the wireless feature which to most is essentially apart of the controller cost, you didnt mention the annoying size of the dongle or wireless connectivity of these controllers in nearly enough detail (xbox 360 is still prob the cheapest yes i was just pointing out the other controllers and the fact that you dont have to buy anything) in terms of cost to have all the same features (wireless and rechargeable batteries) you would have to buy 3 items for xbox and 1 item (2 if you dont have bluetooth) for ps4 and steam controller isnt rechargeable but gives you the wireless dongle. important info. I wanted number and specific costs. 7. Lastly you didnt mention any other controllers than the latest console controllers and steam controller. I wouldve liked to to see a few runner ups like the popular cause it cheap logitech controller just to see to comparison. Please do better, more complete and accurate research. Thank you.
Nice review, but your formatting could be better. About the 360 controller, I do have a wired version specifically for Windows PC, although I'm not entirely sure of its originality. They seem to break very easily which wireless 360 controllers don't seem to suffer from. I had 2 and because I let my friends use them often to play FIFA 1 physically broke (the analogue and some buttons became screwed up followed by connection problems) and the other got issues with its driver/wire, a friend of mine replaced the wire with a different one and I'm using that now, and the coating of the analogue sticks have torn off somehow :/ Do you have experience with all the controllers? I want one that's better for fighting games, I use directional buttons for those and hate the 360 ones.
Chaz4short You, lol. I read your wall of text, just wish the numbered points were separated, not on the same line :/ Also wanted to let you know I have a wired 360 controller made for the PC, in case you weren't sure there were, and they seem to break too easily (although someone somewhere said Microsoft doesn't manufacture the wired ones).
+Literary Landslide Sorry the way i said it must have come off the wrong way. I was saying that there werent wired Xbox One controllers, I know about the wired 360 controller. There is an official xbox 360 wired controller that works on xbox and PC. I haven't had enough experience with all the controllers to know about which one is best for fighting games but knowing about how important the Dpad is in games like Mortal Kombat, I'd go with PS4 controller which is what I use, although the "ABXY" buttons on the Xbox One controller are easier to roll your finger over for games like the Naruto Storm series. Thanks for commenting.
+HellFireMonstersHD I just went to my local computer store and I bought a bluetooth adapter. Then pair your ps4 controller to the pc by holding the home and share buttons at the same time.
+HellFireMonstersHD Buy a dongle (unless your computer already has bluetooth built in) then download a program like DS4Windows and it'll set up the PS4 controller so it mimics an Xbox 360 one.
It has been 6 months since I got my Steam Controller and I havent touched my XBOX controller since. I only changed batteries 3 times in those 6months .. epic battery life. And I play for several hours almost every day. Not to mention that it is way more comfortable and I can configure it as I like.
XShadowshot There is definitely some input lag since it is wireless but it is really low. It is definitely not noticable. Would be good for fighting games.
Thats because no one wants to take the time to relearn to play. Everyone has been playing dual analog stick for over a decade and expects the steam controller to feel like they have been using it for years.
+XL3gion ds4 loud buttons? you've never used an xb1 controller have you? it creaks if you strangle it (can't think of a controller that doesn't) the thumbsticks are better than ds3 but still not great and they do wear out, i replaced mine with xb1 sticks (perfect!) and the battery is shit but if you only get 4hr there's something wrong. i get 6-7hr (not great but not 4). the speaker is no bose but it's by far the best (only) speaker on any controller. and you can run headphones straight out of it. I'm not big on dpad games but i can't think of any controller with a better (or even good) dpad. its not actually split btw, not that it matters. i like the xb1 triggers with the soft landing and the feedback is a nice touch. bumpers on xb1 are just terrible, way to high, no feeling and have mouse click switches like the dpad. they also went a bit 'looks over comfort' with the sharper shape.
+RAY M the fact that he mentioned and explained how the ps4 controller works on pc in the first place, ds4windows, which isnt developed by sony, makes what you said invalid. the bluetooth function is available throught the exact same program with almost no setup. its ease of use that put the controllers up here not the development company behind them
I'm using the Steam controller and i'm impressed by the potential it has, you can make it work however you like, it has endless configuration possibilities.
+JarlN bullshit, the 360, and its controller, came out a year before the PS3. Xbox 360 was the first controller with the four normal face buttons, shoulder buttons/triggers, was wireless, and popular, GG M8
+wtblack5 Never said what playstation console I meant... and what the hell is 4 normal face buttons? If you're gonna add all the requirements that fits the xbox 360 then sure, >_> Please tell me why all of these look like the SNES controller? Then there's the addition of analog sticks in the PS1 controller from 94 and PS2 from 2000 and xbox (in 2001) not to get their asses sued off switched the dpad and left stick.
the original xbox technically had 6 face buttons the white & black which got moved to the l & r bumpers on the 360, also between the snes and the ps1 you had the amiga 32 which also had the apparent required 4 face buttons (was also the first 32bit console but hey whos counting :p)
Wait, you said there was no downsides to the Xbox 360 controller, yet criticized the Xbox One controllers's d-pad. Where's the logic in that? The Xbox One controller's d-pad is a massive improvement to the 360's d-pad. The lackluster d-pad was one of the few major critiques about the 360 controller. Edit: There is a bluetooth option for the PS4. And you missed a major downside of it. There's increased input lag when using the DS4 controller, ought to it running through the aid of an additional program. Seriously. Look up your information before you make a video like this
you two are both idiot. hes talking about pc. read the title bitches. xbox 360 controller is the grandfather of all the gamepad on pc. common sense. dont be stupid on internet.
Maybe he should have said for PC instead of controllers in general. That aside A TON of old controllers for PC specifically were made based off of the PS2's dualshock WAY before Xbox 360. Heck one of the first gamepads made for PC was based off the Snes controller. Way back in 1991. Either way it's hard for the Xbox controller to be the grandfather of anything if it was based off something else in the first place.
+Manuel realda "pretty much all of the other controllers are kinda mapped off the control scheme and mapping of the Microsoft 360 controller so this is pretty much the grandfather of most modern game pads" saying that the other controllers are set up based on how the 360 controller is which is false like we already said. and for u to say that he's talking about PC is also dead wrong because he's talking about the controller itself and its design making it the "grandfather" of most modern controllers and it was designed for its console, nit for PC.
You're biased reviews are killing me... howabout you try again with the Steam controller. You neglect a lot of great features this controller has to offer such as the gyro controls and the ability to map the controller any way you want. C'Mon Son!!!
Steam controller is the most accurate controller for shooters (second only to mouse) The trackpads are actually very accurate and responsive. My only issue is that I end up spending an entire day programming my controller. But it is also very good for playing MMORPG's, specifically wildstar (I played on controller from level 1, and I actually believe it is stronger in pvp than kb/m as I would frequently be MVP in battlegrounds with most damage, even on my first day trying pvp).
***** I liked both sets of sticks, it's really the dpad on the 360 that just ruined it. ...Well minus all the sticks on my 360 controllers being worn out and slick now like you mentioned. DS3's triggers are a problem, fingers always bloody slipped off, but thankfully the PS4 controller fixed that.
+Josiah Ross It's way better. Not sure what he's smoking here. I can actually play platforming games like Freedom Planet now that I have an Xbone controller.
Hells yea, I just picked that over the XBox One today, and a wired version because I don't play wireless on my PC. I used my old DS3 for a long time, but I wanted to try out the classic 360. It's awesome.
There is a disadvantage for using the 360 controller: The D-pad is noted to be very inaccurate and thus, poorly suited for any game that relies on it for things like movement. The D-pad was one of the things improved with the Xbox One controller, and it shows considerably. Heck, my primary motivation for getting an Xbox One controller was the D-pad, and I don't regret it.
Also, I'd like to point out that the "wired" version of the Xbox One controller is literally just a standard wireless Xbox One controller bundled with a (flimsy) MicroUSB cable. In fact, you don't even need said cable as the cable for your cellphone would work just as fine. Heck, you can even use the controllers that came bundled with your computer in this regard without having to save up for a "wireless dongle", and if you do have such dongle, you can even put batteries within your "wired" controllers and use them as wireless.
And the Playstation 4 controller works outside the box on PC. Just don't expect to play games that rely on Xinput instead of the more dated DirectInput standard since the Playstation 4 only works with the latter by default. (This rules ot most modern games.)
On the Xbox One controller, only the MicroUSB cable that came with controller works with it, any other MicroUSB cable that I own doesn't work, and I don't think they are busted, since I can plug in the Dual Shock 4 without any problems, but for the Xbox One controller only the bundled USB cable works, which is, just like you said, flimsy.
Ps4 controller is wireless, just press ps button and share button to go into Bluetooth scan mode, this video is misinformed and doesn't speak on a lot of issues like the Xbox controller needing addons to be rechargeable and the ps4 controllers rechargeable battery
salmaan ejaz I'm not a fanboy or a hater but I'd rather replace batteries every so often or buy the play and charge kit rather than have a 5 hour battery life although that point disappears if you have your controller constantly plugged in.
salmaan ejaz actually the xbox uses thr same charger the dualshock 4 controller does dude. i know your fanboy ticker was going off for a second but i got you covered fam. also the xbox control has button remapping on pc. but the ps4 does have the up on batteries preinstalled.
Never said it didn't have the same charger just said it needs addons to be rechargable... and the ps4 can have button mapping on pc too with a program called ds4windows
you didnt say a word about the steam controlers extra 2 buttons, and the backside buttons also can be pressed half/full. and the gyro.. this video shows the steam controller as a usual xbox 360 controller. however, its far more "smarter". + you can play wire/wireless if you want. so where is the comparison?
he forgot that u can plug the Xbox one controller in with a micro USB cable and he said the 360 controller could be used through play and charge kit which is also false
If you have a 360 controller, it is required to use the charge and play kit with the wireless adapter and youbcant use it wired unless you have a wired cintroller
I kinda feel bad for the "unboxing" steam controller reviews. A lot of people got crap reviews that have given them uninformed opinions. The amount of customization makes steam controller the best for PC games. No controller beats the keyboard/mouse combo for games designed for PC of course. But when you want to lay back or on the couch. or play ported games... steam controller destroys the rest
I am using DS4 (used before DS3) both work over BlueTooth without any problem, even it works without DS4Windows program, since it is recognized by many games as true DS4 controller on windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10. Connecting is pretty easy, you can use USB or BT. If using BT, just go to search new devices and it will connect easily Best for me for sure... Cheers...
+Texas potato well actually the ds4 is the best wireless option since a bluetooth dongle is stupidly cheap compared to microsoft's wireless solutions... and you are saving a lot of money on bateries also (the ds4 has an internal rechargeable battery)
CryBeat i get 10+ hours of gameplay and 3hs of rechargin on my pc with the ds4 just right out the box... for my old 360 controller (the same for any xbone cotroller) i had to buy some $20 rechargeable bateries (SONY bateries ironicly lol) plus the $25 wireless reciever just to have a wireless controller and guess what, when i was recharging the bateries i couldn't use the controller :V... i actually get rid of it and get a (really cheap) DualShock 3 controller for my pc gaming before i could get a DS4... for symplicity's sake you don't need to be a PlayStation fanboy to realise that getting a DS4-DS3 is way better solution than microsoft's gamepads...
4:30 yes, you can use the ps4 controller wirelessly, simply hold the share and ps button together for about 5 seconds, then the light will start flashing, that means it is in pairing mode. Then go to “add Bluetooth” devices on pc and the pc will automatically find the controller
+TheBritGamer Hd really no better than a normal controller. I prefer the 360 controller for rocket league. It puts your thumbs in the right spot. You really don't need the trackpads at all for rocket league.
JuggleAddict you only need one analog stick for rocket league and the ability to rebind the other button to better positions make the steam controller better for it.
I just bought a PS4 controller for my PC, installed DS4, and that shit works! I personally like it more than any other controller out there today. With DS4, you can change the color of the light in the back to anything you want. White, blue, purple, pink, green, red, it's all possible. Plus, as you mentioned, it has the option to use it as a mouse.
It rocks.I have xbone as well.U can completely browse windows ecosystem with it as well.I wish all its guts where put into xbone controller body. From a long years keyboard and mice slave.
For me the best experiences is the Xbox One Elite controller combined with the xbox chatpad while also using the "Controller Companion" from Steam. 2nd place goes to the PS4 controller with a BT chatpad attached.
Dualshock 3 -D-Pad is perfect. -Stick travel distance is long. -Trigger resistance is linear. -Bluetooth -Works with Android -Works with Windows -Battery life is astounding.
odoyoudo Haha, I do prefer the way other controllers feel in the hand more. I hate the xbox 360 & one D-Pad, it's hot garbage. The ps4 analog sticks are short and stiff with no precision and the Steam controller doesn't have a second stick... The dualshock 3 is like the ugly wife I could never leave.
as former ps3 gamer i recently moved to pc gaming and bought 360 controller, using a xbox controller is entirely new to me and i'd say 360 felt a little bit better, the size fits and weight fits perfectly in my hands and the D-pad function. but i do find the ps3 trigger better than the 360s. but hands down ds4 is the best with the included headphone jack
For all the hate comments. To be fair, these video was uploaded January 2016. Basically this review and his knowledge was based and filmed during mid to late 2015.
I have an XB1 controller, PS4 controller, and the Steam controller. I used to have the 360 controller but the cable got worn out so I threw it out, it lasted years though btw. Having used all those, my favorite is the Steam controller. It took a lot of getting used to but once it clicks it feels great. Gyro-aiming is a lot of fun and way more accurate than using a joystick. You can also use it for browsing the internet, and bringing up an onscreen keyboard for quick...ish typing. The downsides of the Steam controller are that you will occasionally run into games that don't want to play well with steam, usually games that require alternate launchers like dosbox. When it comes to PS4 vs XB1 controller, I prefer the PS4. Sony made the grips much bigger on the PS4 controller than on the PS3 controller and it feels much better in your hands. The real selling point is the touchpad though. Using the touchpad as a mouse, you can launch games and programs from your couch. Example: I sit on the couch with my PS4 controller wirelessly connected via bluetooth. I use the touchpad to launch xpadder where I have a controller config that makes browsing through the internet very simple, when I'm done browsing I can launch steam, then close xpadder and go to Steam's big picture mode to start a game, all from the couch. So my advice. Get a PS4 controller as your starting controller, then when you want a second controller grab a Steam Controller. The Steam Controller is my favorite but because there are some situations it can't handle, which Valve will resolve with software and firmware updates, I recommend holding off for the time being. Really though, get both and use the PS4 as a backup for those rare games that the SC isn't optimal for.
+Daniel Corona OK, how long did it actually take you to get used to it? Everyone I know gives up because of the learning curve and the amount of work it takes to find a proper config. Plowing through the learning curve knowing there's another controller right next to you that you're already used to (or the superior keyboard and mouse) is harder than most people realize. It's tough to get through the "wait, why am I doing this to myself?" feeling. I imagine there are a ton of abandoned Steam controllers out in the world...
+Uenostation54 Good question! It varies from person to person. I've seen some people say it took them 15 minutes, others a few hours. I got used to it over a weekend. That was without all of the helpful guides that are out there now, without a ton of community profiles, and with me exploring many different options to see what worked best. One thing I imagine it takes everyone a while to get used to is the location of the face buttons though. At first I thought they were too small or too close together, but it's really just a matter of muscle memory. The controller is great though. Can't recommend it enough and now I get very frustrated with joysticks because they lack the same precision.
I tried it on day one and nobody had a good preset. I know one person who has been converted recently who told me about some decent setups now. I think like a lot of PC related stuff there's a high barrier of entry for the Steam controller but it's ultimately rewarding. I might give it another go soon. Those buttons on the back are amazing and I want those on everything now.
My setup for shooters is: Right Pad -> Mouse + Trackball at Medium: You should be able to flick the pad and do a 180. Use this to flick your reticle to different targets. Gyro Aiming -> enabled when touching right pad: This makes it so you can flick the right pad in the direction of a target, then touch the pad to stop your reticle on them, then use the gyro to fine-tune your aiming. Gyro aiming is great for following moving targets. Everything else is pretty standard controller usage. Sometimes I use the left pad for touchmenus which is nice. Gyro aiming is pretty much mandatory though, I even use it for browsing the internet.
Melvin Groenendijk no not really becuothe dualshocks suck a lot! Why did they put the thumb sticks there? Every time I pick up a PS4 controller my thumbs nearly break off
I have a Steam Controller. I bought it about 2 weeks ago and I've loved every minute I used it. I always played with mouse and keyboard, but this makes me feel confident enought to play games in the couch. I also bought a couple of fighting games too, the D Xenoverse and Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, and I simply use the stick for movement. I found it pretty easy to get into it, but then I never had a Play Station or Xbox, so I wasn't used to the other controllers. I can imagine that a proper D-PAD might be better for these kinds of games, but I simply don't find many issues with it. I personally love the touchpads on this controller :D. I personally recommend it.
+MWTechnology Hi, another thing about DS4 you can play wirelessly by connecting the DS4 via bluetooth by holding the share button + Playstation button, and the light will blink it means you acn now pair it with your PC. :D I hope you update your video for that :D
the 360 D-pad also sucks. like a TON. the Xbox One D-pad has a clicking responsive feeling, and also feels a bit better. obviously, the DualShock 4 is the best in D-pad, and the Steam Controller's d-pad isnt that great either
When comparing the 360 to the Xbox One controller, remember that the Xbox One controller has the built-in headset jack. This makes it a little easier when using 3rd party wired headsets.
If you have a Bluetooth adapter on your desktop or play games on a laptop with Bluetooth capabilities you can 200% positively play your pc games with the ps4 controller wirelessly. I do daily using ds4. Simply sync your controller to your pc then open ds4 and your good to go. All buttons for the ps4 are mapped to mimic the Xbox 360 controller since it does have the most support of majority of pc games. Only downfall if you could really consider it being one is that X=A O=B square=X triangle=Y in terms of button translation.
Young Pedru there's nothing wrong with the design, it's my favorite controller by far. I would suggest looking into the controller more rather than just saying its bad and you will actually find that it's the most versatile controller and the most accurate in FPS games
Lol, yes it is the design, you really believe a flat dpad is gonna be as comfortable and efficient as pop out dpads on the PS4 and Xbox controllers, also the way it shaped, the arms are facing up? I can't imagine how uncomfortable that would be compared to the arms down on the PS4/XBOX controllers, its "all" in the design. Having a comfortable controller is the #1 priority, I mean there is a reason most PC players choose Xbox controllers, generalizing? no, I have literally never witnessed a PC player with a steam controller...
You are able to use the PS4 controller wirelessly with the DS4 software as long as your computer has Bluetooth capability, if it doesn't it's pretty cheap to buy a USB Bluetooth Antenna to add the wireless functionally to your PC.
Used all of them, I'm loving the steam controller the most. Alot of reviewers gloss over the many features and extra buttons it has over most chooses. Back Grips, Gyro Controls, Dual Press Triggers, and Mouse/Thump Stick/ TrackBall Emulation on trackpad. Community layouts make it easy to find a setup that fits your play style ( if you dont you can make your own, edit one, or use a preset). The Dpad has as many options as the Rtrackpad, turning it to touch instead of press makes it great for fighting games. Inputs come out quicker because I don't have to press down on the trackpad and let haptic feedback help me feel the next direction. It also gets firmware updated regularly with new features or improvements. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
The Steam controller is underrated. It's hands down the best controller. Not as fancy in build quality but superior in function. It is the only way you're going to get mouse like aim on a controller. Not perfect, but better than any analog stick. I say not perfect because it's not always as precise as a mouse with some games, but some games allow full customization and if you tweet the controller you can get it as good as a mouse. I have used the Xbox controller and PS4 controller in the past. No matter how good, can never compare to the smoothness of a mouse. I was hesitant to get the steam controller because of people's reviews. But ended up getting it for a good price with a game purchase. And boy I'm glad I did. If I go back to using an Xbox controller or a PS4 controller I feel that I can hardly aim. You realize how clunky a analog stick is after you've been using the steam controller all the time. The Steam controller takes getting used to at first. but once you master it. It is superior for all games. You just need to set the controller up differently depending on what game you're playing. Trackball mode is usually best.
Just an FYI (that may have already been pointed out by someone), but even though there are XBOX One controllers marketed as "For Windows" ANY XBOX One controller will work fine hard connected to the PC. Just use any old micro usb cable to connect the controller to your PC and you're ready to go!
Dam good review, actually the first one that still recommends the x360 controller. The steam controller looks really nice, might be worth to try it out. knowing that the new Xone controller has no benefits over the old ones was not quite a good move from microsoft, knowing the original 360 were wau advanced by its time.. I got 2 x360 controllers which serve me so well, never ever did my hand hurt by playing hours and hours with them. really satisfied. The ps4 controllers look really good, loved the touch fonctionality but requires a software and not quite plug and play so, a no go for me. Thanks for your good review, crisp, clear and straight to the point !!!
Adolf Hitler So, just get a 70e controller because the d-pad is better and battery is better located... I had the Xone controller in my hand and the D-pad is way off, it's hard to reachwith my hand since i don't have big fingers. The feeling was great but the analog sticks were a let down. I went with the steam controller. Bought it for 45e, weird at first but it's so awesome in every level.
+Mythrintia Iv just converted over to mouse and keyboard..and let me tell you! it feels like i have way more power in my hands now..lol..im Neva using the controller for shooters again and i dont play racing games so yeah..Nice
You actually don't even need to run any other programs to get the DS4 to work. Steam recently implemented a full mapping system for it straight from any games steam menu. (Before you run the game) just open steam in big picture mode and then plug in your DS4 and the menu will automatically pop up and walk you though it. They actually have it were there's different options for the mapping that you can download individually for each game, right from the community. 👍🏻👌🏻
+Diamond Beau yeah sure, keep feeding sony your money every time those analog sticks fall down just like the N64's... sony makes things worse just to make money
+Diamond Beau ahh yes... You know that the DS4 sticks fall down in due specially if you play a FPS a lot... I boughr my DS3 in summer 2008 and is still alive and kicking working well with Bluetooth... ha I remember that the drivers where so rough back then now is just a single file that boots on windows launch
i bought a specifically wired (but wireless compatible) xbox one controller for a little more than 30$, so far it has been working really well, and has no lag time. i can run games like rocket league and subnautica perfectly and can use it for overwatch. personally i would use the xbox one controller becasue it feels more natural and i dont like the size of the other controllers
I love the steam controller since my mouse training seems to have severed my ability to aim shooters with sticks, but If I had to choose a 2nd place, not for shooters, It'd be the PS4 controller since it can use any bluetooth adapter, and It's great to be able to use the trackpad for internet browsing from a couch.
The Xbox One controller has one advantage not mentioned. You can receive game audio wirelessly through audio port connection for I believe up to 4 controllers. While the PS4 controller can do that on the actual PS4 console there aren't currently any options to make that work when connected to PC. Great video though!
This vid really gave me a good idea of what I'd be actually experiencing and getting with the steam controller. Thanks so much for saving me from getting it.
ds4windows might seem like a hassle, but the customization options are insane. You can set deadzones, sensitivity for each axis of each joystick, when and how the low battery notifications happen, special controls (like buybinds in CS:GO), etc. Not sure if there's an equivalent for other controllers, but it's pretty cool.
I had a 360 controller for the longest time but I finally decided to switch to a PS4 last month. So far the ps4 controller is the best fit for me. I used to dislocate my fingers with the 360 but I haven't had one dislocation with the PS4. It's great for people who have loose joints like me.
There is another option for PC... It's a Wii U Pro Controller. Basically, you would need to buy a third party device - a USB dongle, and download the update for the controller. It takes a little bit of work. But, first controller to have ~80 hrs battery life before being recharged? Insane. Only problem with the controller... No analogue triggers.
Sorta expensive, but a Dualshock 4 controller runs really well when paired with the offical USB Bluetooth Dongle released by Sony. Then there's the fact that there is now Steam support for DS4 and DS4Windows.
1. you cant use the play and charge kit for 360 to play on pc. 2 xbox one controller can conect using micro usb, but the play and charge kit for xbox one controller is basicly a micro usb.
Ordered my steam controller last week. hope to get it this week. but that dpad is perfect for the games mentioned. it is fast and you don't have to lift your finger. seen a youtube use it without problems and he loved it.
Found a pair of Xbox 360 controllers at goodwill for $15. Cleaned them up and I bought one of those receivers and they work perfectly. So I say that's the best one since it's the one I own.
Currently in 2019 the best option is the Xbox One controller, it now has Bluetooth so you don't need a dongle to connect wirelessly, compatibility is excellent.
My ultimate setup is xone controller with wireless dongle and charging kit. Once you download xbox app from win10 store and upgrade your controller firmware you can plug almost any headphones into controller and play any steam games from your couch. Also there is a steam program call Controller Companion for 2.5 bucks and it allows you to control your whole pc using controller only! You can even play games which does not support controller like Diablo 3 or Witcher 1etc with the controller companion.
Steam Controller is a great Controller. I have it and it's the only Controller that can run ALL my games at least decently, including emulators. It's my personal favorite. I get why others are turned off, though. It takes some time to get used to it.
also by using DS4 you can have an idea about you battery charge just by light bar color, very useful thing! and you can connect by Bluetooth, just hold the share and PS buttons and add a device in your PC, next time you can just hit the PS button like you do on PS4 to connect it ;)
You can connect the DS4 via bluetooth and i recommend using a internal bluetooth card instead of a small dongle. The small dongle are not so accurate because anything can block its signal.
You must use the dongle to get a wireless Xbox 360 controller to work on a PC. The Play and Charge cable only transmits power, not data, so you can't use it as a standard USB controller. The fact that you can use either the wireless adapter or a micro USB cable is part of the reason, IMO, the Xbox One controller is superior.
You can use a DS4 wirelessly with Bluetooth. I bought a bluetooth usb dongle for $10 and I use it for my DualShock 4 and Wii controllers, makes emulating a breeze! It keeps a stable connection throughout my room as well.
I've been using the DualShock 4 for Android and PC gaming for over 18 months now (I don't own a PS4). The XBOX360 controller may be the best bang for your buck, but the DS4 turned out to be a solid PC controller in the long run. You only need to install MS XBOX 360 Accessories and InputMapper to get it working. Games will recognize the DS4 as an XBOX 360 controller.
My Xbox 360 broke so now I use 360 controllers because I grew up using them and I have a golden one. I just love playing new games with a last gen controller.
Is that gum holding the controllers up?
And microwave.
blue tack
I think you can get White Tack
Yes, definitely white tack.
go back to the wii for that
Wtf there IS a wireless option for the Dualshock 4 controller.
It is called BLUETOOTH!
trottelkopf1997 it a lot easier to just plug it in
trottelkopf1997 you get a lot less latency if you plug it in
idiot! the bluetooth on the dualshock4 for THE PS4
To connect your DS4 without cabel you need:
1. Make sure you have Bluetooth adapter
2. Press "Share" and "PS" buttons on your dualshock 4.
3. Go to Bluetooth panel
4. Find the "Wireless controller"
5. Set it up.
5,1. If it's requesting a code you are writing there 0000
6. Use any app to emulate the xbox 360 controller.
It's even easier with the new PS4 adapter for PC, it also supports the Dualshock 4 headphone/pic wireless functionality on PC.
Ha
+NeddiddleyGaming prolonged use can give you RSI, but most gamers don't use their mice in a way that could really do that
+Jeremy Garcia The narrator is a fucking moron.
***** no, D-Pads are better for combos because each direction is completely separate and there is 0 ambiguity
I had 2 and because I let my friends use them often to play FIFA 1 physically broke (the analogue and some buttons became screwed up followed by connection problems) and the other got issues with its driver/wire, a friend of mine replaced the wire with a different one and I'm using that now, and the coating of the analogue sticks have torn off somehow :/
Do you have experience with all the controllers? I want one that's better for fighting games, I use directional buttons for those and hate the 360 ones.
+Literary Landslide was that addressed to me or Waj?
Chaz4short You, lol. I read your wall of text, just wish the numbered points were separated, not on the same line :/
Also wanted to let you know I have a wired 360 controller made for the PC, in case you weren't sure there were, and they seem to break too easily (although someone somewhere said Microsoft doesn't manufacture the wired ones).
+Chaz4short It took me 3 seconds to connect my Xbox One controller to my PC via BT... No additional downloads required...
You can connect the DS4 via Bluetooth
ka
+KyStride how?
+HellFireMonstersHD I just went to my local computer store and I bought a bluetooth adapter. Then pair your ps4 controller to the pc by holding the home and share buttons at the same time.
Use DS4 trust me it works like wonders
+HellFireMonstersHD Buy a dongle (unless your computer already has bluetooth built in) then download a program like DS4Windows and it'll set up the PS4 controller so it mimics an Xbox 360 one.
It has been 6 months since I got my Steam Controller and I havent touched my XBOX controller since. I only changed batteries 3 times in those 6months .. epic battery life. And I play for several hours almost every day. Not to mention that it is way more comfortable and I can configure it as I like.
any input lag ? would it be good for fighting games?
XShadowshot There is definitely some input lag since it is wireless but it is really low. It is definitely not noticable. Would be good for fighting games.
The steam controller also works when wired
Wow, it's kinda hard to find a fellow steam controller lover. I've used it myself ever since it came out. Best controller I've used.
Thats because no one wants to take the time to relearn to play. Everyone has been playing dual analog stick for over a decade and expects the steam controller to feel like they have been using it for years.
I personally think that the ps4 has the best controller hands down
you are pretty dumb.
^
I agree. The Xbox One controller is really close though!
+XL3gion well some one is salty
I'm using my DS4 through Bluetooth all the time. How could you say there's no wireless option for the DS4?
its offically support or not
thats fact
is ds4 is developed by sony?
What are you saying? That is not english.
+CheeseDud3LT bluetooth connect doesnt support without ds4 thats fact
how about xone pad?
+RAY M the fact that he mentioned and explained how the ps4 controller works on pc in the first place, ds4windows, which isnt developed by sony, makes what you said invalid. the bluetooth function is available throught the exact same program with almost no setup. its ease of use that put the controllers up here not the development company behind them
► My PS4 Controller fully works on my Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth and WITHOUT any programs!!!
No Dualshock 3 ? That's racist
i de el really opressed
And sexism!
Because hardly anybody liked it plus the dual shock 4 is way more comfy
+Giallo Rosso Productions The ds3 is terrible your thumbs literally clash on the thumbsticks, the 4 is a slight improvement though.
+hawk 4 reason how big are ur thumbs?
I'm using the Steam controller and i'm impressed by the potential it has, you can make it work however you like, it has endless configuration possibilities.
+Andres Gallego only disadvantage is need for a steam running over a game.. looking for launchers is painfull.
+ninjoun i actually use Steam as my front-end, i have all my games linked to steam so i just go there a click the game i wanna play, not a big deal.
wii u pro controller is actually the best I've ever felt. also has crazy battery life.
Ivan Magaña
Same
Never played that, that didn't sell very well but the controllers do look very nice.
the nes controller is the REAL grandfather of modern controllers.
Yeah and "father" of modern controllers would be the playstation
+JarlN bullshit, the 360, and its controller, came out a year before the PS3. Xbox 360 was the first controller with the four normal face buttons, shoulder buttons/triggers, was wireless, and popular, GG M8
+wtblack5
Never said what playstation console I meant... and what the hell is 4 normal face buttons?
If you're gonna add all the requirements that fits the xbox 360 then sure, >_>
Please tell me why all of these look like the SNES controller?
Then there's the addition of analog sticks in the PS1 controller from 94 and PS2 from 2000 and xbox (in 2001) not to get their asses sued off switched the dpad and left stick.
the original xbox technically had 6 face buttons the white & black which got moved to the l & r bumpers on the 360, also between the snes and the ps1 you had the amiga 32 which also had the apparent required 4 face buttons (was also the first 32bit console but hey whos counting :p)
youre all wrong, the grandfather off all is the "CALCULATOR "
Wait, you said there was no downsides to the Xbox 360 controller, yet criticized the Xbox One controllers's d-pad. Where's the logic in that? The Xbox One controller's d-pad is a massive improvement to the 360's d-pad. The lackluster d-pad was one of the few major critiques about the 360 controller.
Edit: There is a bluetooth option for the PS4. And you missed a major downside of it. There's increased input lag when using the DS4 controller, ought to it running through the aid of an additional program.
Seriously. Look up your information before you make a video like this
Pan Z Nice man u are right never insult about a controller without going in depth of it.
So the Xbox One controller has less input lag vs the DS4 controller connected via bluetooth to PC?
Were you using gum to hold up the 360 controller?
it's epoxy gum - used for holding posters for example.
It's something like Blu tac
that's what I thought too 😂😂😂

Microsoft is making it more and more difficult to use the Dualshock 4 in windows 10. It's really frustraiting
Don't worry m8 the internet will fight them back
nah brush it's easy for me

Steam is soon is giving it official support.
Really?
The Steam Controller is my favorite controller of all times. It enables PC Gaming on the couch like no other.
r/agedlikemilk
What about the gyro in the steam controller? It's great for racing games
Jackatron9000 i had projects cars sitting in my library collecting dust. Now with the steam controller i already have 10 hours in a few days lol.
Xbox 360 is the grandfather of modern controllers? how about ps1 controller with thunbsticks before the first Xbox was even out...
+Devan_17 Clearly some people know their gaming roots.
you two are both idiot. hes talking about pc. read the title bitches. xbox 360 controller is the grandfather of all the gamepad on pc. common sense. dont be stupid on internet.
+Devan_17 people forget so easy hmmm
You're biased reviews are killing me... howabout you try again with the Steam controller. You neglect a lot of great features this controller has to offer such as the gyro controls and the ability to map the controller any way you want. C'Mon Son!!!
I recently just bought the DualShock 4 and I must say... I don't regret it :P
Steam controller is the most accurate controller for shooters (second only to mouse)
The trackpads are actually very accurate and responsive. My only issue is that I end up spending an entire day programming my controller. But it is also very good for playing MMORPG's, specifically wildstar (I played on controller from level 1, and I actually believe it is stronger in pvp than kb/m as I would frequently be MVP in battlegrounds with most damage, even on my first day trying pvp).
g3rb3r NarlyNez community profiles solve the the setup issue. And don't forget to mention the gyro
No negatives for the 360 controller? Other than one of the worst dpads ever made :|
XB1 at least improved upon that.
No according to him the XOne controllers huge flaw was the terrible, tactile d-pad with quick response time, and satisfying feel.
*****
I liked both sets of sticks, it's really the dpad on the 360 that just ruined it. ...Well minus all the sticks on my 360 controllers being worn out and slick now like you mentioned.
DS3's triggers are a problem, fingers always bloody slipped off, but thankfully the PS4 controller fixed that.
Am I the only one that thinks the xbox one D-pad is way better than the xbox 360 d-pad
+Josiah Ross It's way better. Not sure what he's smoking here. I can actually play platforming games like Freedom Planet now that I have an Xbone controller.
RurouniZel thank you! I tried to play mortal kombat on the Xbox 360 and it was horrible
+Josiah Ross you are absolutely right!
+Josiah Ross Hell no. The 360 D-pad is a flaming pile of arse.
No I think it's better
been rocking my 360 controller for almost 3 years now...still loving the old school design
Hells yea, I just picked that over the XBox One today, and a wired version because I don't play wireless on my PC. I used my old DS3 for a long time, but I wanted to try out the classic 360. It's awesome.
I still use a wired xbox 360 pad for PC gaming and LOVE IT
The PS4 controller can be used with Bluetooth connection, at least in the Input Mapper app.
Gabriel Vilela yep i use it too
its awsome!
How to make a quality controller review:
Hold the controllers upright with gum.
At least not out of the box on PC. You'd have to use software that enables Xinput support first.
Richard Philips with steam update you can use it now. you can customize it like the steam controller.
Hide the play doh next time, cool video anyway
I thought that was gum, so I'm relieved. Unless--
+Prequel I did too. 😂😂
+Kevin Max De Cicco Just in case you were mislead you can you the ps4 controller wirelessly using a bluetooth connection
+Kevin Max De Cicco i thought it was chewing gum
+Prequel pig putty
Ps4 controller is wireless, just press ps button and share button to go into Bluetooth scan mode, this video is misinformed and doesn't speak on a lot of issues like the Xbox controller needing addons to be rechargeable and the ps4 controllers rechargeable battery
salmaan ejaz I'm not a fanboy or a hater but I'd rather replace batteries every so often or buy the play and charge kit rather than have a 5 hour battery life although that point disappears if you have your controller constantly plugged in.
I guess i see where you're coming from but i do keep my controller constantly plugged in I mean who need wireless at a desk lol
***** That's a good point.
salmaan ejaz actually the xbox uses thr same charger the dualshock 4 controller does dude. i know your fanboy ticker was going off for a second but i got you covered fam. also the xbox control has button remapping on pc. but the ps4 does have the up on batteries preinstalled.
Never said it didn't have the same charger just said it needs addons to be rechargable... and the ps4 can have button mapping on pc too with a program called ds4windows
Steam Controller. I'll never go back.
I use a cheap ds3 controller with a generic bluetooth dongle and ScpToolkit installed. It's awesome
Hardivh Ps3 controller makes my hands cry blood
Official Me Why? I think it's better than any of the controllers shown in this video, except for the ps4 one
Hardivh I hate it.
It physically hurts for me to use it.
Official Me Yeah but why. What part of your hand hurts? Is the stick hight wrong or do you dislike the stick placement?
Mcel
I dislike the placement.
But mostly the height in that placement.
So you don't reccomend to upgrade to the XOne controller if I have the x360 one?
you didnt say a word about the steam controlers extra 2 buttons, and the backside buttons also can be pressed half/full. and the gyro.. this video shows the steam controller as a usual xbox 360 controller. however, its far more "smarter". + you can play wire/wireless if you want. so where is the comparison?
he forgot that u can plug the Xbox one controller in with a micro USB cable and he said the 360 controller could be used through play and charge kit which is also false
there are so many more problems I'm not even going to try to type
If you have a 360 controller, it is required to use the charge and play kit with the wireless adapter and youbcant use it wired unless you have a wired cintroller
Jack Pepal wireless is a joke, the usb provides power only, i fucked around trying to hook it up before figuring it out.
Jack Pepal I use my charge and play to use it on pc
I kinda feel bad for the "unboxing" steam controller reviews. A lot of people got crap reviews that have given them uninformed opinions. The amount of customization makes steam controller the best for PC games.
No controller beats the keyboard/mouse combo for games designed for PC of course. But when you want to lay back or on the couch. or play ported games... steam controller destroys the rest
I just ordered a steam controller for more relaxed PC gaming, rocket leauge and gta kinda stuff
Highly disagree, steam controller is good but I think the xbox one controller is best
I am using DS4 (used before DS3) both work over BlueTooth without any problem, even it works without DS4Windows program, since it is recognized by many games as true DS4 controller on windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10.
Connecting is pretty easy, you can use USB or BT. If using BT, just go to search new devices and it will connect easily
Best for me for sure...
Cheers...
I don't even have Bluetooth on my PC
+Texas potato a BT stick is only a few bucks up to 5,- or so.
+Texas potato well actually the ds4 is the best wireless option since a bluetooth dongle is stupidly cheap compared to microsoft's wireless solutions... and you are saving a lot of money on bateries also (the ds4 has an internal rechargeable battery)
+Nimlouth Sindorei you can use rechargeable batteries for the xbox one controller. moreover the ds4 batts are rly weak.
I use the steam controller and my keyboard and mouse
+Shark Man Cool ;)
TheBritGamer Hd its not bad, works well and you cant easily rebind buttons
+Shark Man can*
+TheBritGamer Hd really no better than a normal controller.
Me:
1. Steam controller
2. Wii u pro
3.xbox one
4.dualshock 4
5.xbox (d pad ruined an otherwise great controller)
I think it's better. This guy left out the SC back buttons too, which only the elite, a $150 pad has.
Karl Davis pad... ITS A FUCKING CONTROLLER DAMMIT
Karl Davis if you were a gamer, you'd know that
It rocks.I have xbone as well.U can completely browse windows ecosystem with it as well.I wish all its guts where put into xbone controller body. From a long years keyboard and mice slave.
saying that i ignored controllers for long time until i got my hands on steam one.
For me the best experiences is the Xbox One Elite controller combined with the xbox chatpad while also using the "Controller Companion" from Steam. 2nd place goes to the PS4 controller with a BT chatpad attached.
6:22 controller starts to fall haha
No
Its Logic what?
Lol
yes
8:10
oh yeah, old Big Picture interface =_=
Did you ever try this gamepads for real?
Dualshock 3
-D-Pad is perfect.
-Stick travel distance is long.
-Trigger resistance is linear.
-Bluetooth
-Works with Android
-Works with Windows
-Battery life is astounding.
Montes Foreman
Dualshock 3 is literally the worst controller ever. It should be counted as a torture device from how painful it is to use.
odoyoudo Haha, I do prefer the way other controllers feel in the hand more. I hate the xbox 360 & one D-Pad, it's hot garbage. The ps4 analog sticks are short and stiff with no precision and the Steam controller doesn't have a second stick...
The dualshock 3 is like the ugly wife I could never leave.
Montes Foreman can't argue with you there.
as former ps3 gamer i recently moved to pc gaming and bought 360 controller, using a xbox controller is entirely new to me and i'd say 360 felt a little bit better, the size fits and weight fits perfectly in my hands and the D-pad function. but i do find the ps3 trigger better than the 360s.
but hands down ds4 is the best with the included headphone jack
Montes Foreman
-Makes my hands cry
I am wanting to use a controller to play a mmorpg game.
Whitch one would be good for that?
did he use chewing gum to hold the controllers
it's called pig putty. used for many things
For all the hate comments. To be fair, these video was uploaded January 2016. Basically this review and his knowledge was based and filmed during mid to late 2015.
Dud lol hes using chewed gum to hold up the controllers
Goldenpc1080p Gaming lol
The Afterglow Prismatic Xbox One controller is also a great controller to use on PC.
+Daniel Corona Yeah, i would get the steam controller because is soo much more capable than the other controllers
My setup for shooters is:
Right Pad -> Mouse + Trackball at Medium: You should be able to flick the pad and do a 180.
The scuff for the ps4 is overpowered I'm thinking of getting one for myself
The xbox 360 controller the grandfather of modern controllers??? XD. That title belongs to the Dualshock controller
Melvin Groenendijk no not really becuothe dualshocks suck a lot! Why did they put the thumb sticks there? Every time I pick up a PS4 controller my thumbs nearly break off
The trigger were buttons, the 360 had the first actual triggers
remind me which controller inspired the Nintendo switch pro controller, thats right the xbox 360 one
I like them both but the playstation controllers fit in my hand better. But would depend on the size of a person's hand which one is better for them.
Chewing gum podium. Suave!
JWil42 tbh I hate the PS4 d-pad.....it’s not clocks enough and jiggles
When comparing the 360 to the Xbox One controller, remember that the Xbox One controller has the built-in headset jack. This makes it a little easier when using 3rd party wired headsets.
WII U PRO CONTROLER IS THE BEST GAMEPAD POR PC!!!!!!!!
No ahaha
+Juan Meza yes!
Zzzz.zzz.zombie xbox controller is tha best
2nd*
Zzzz.zzz.zombie sry m8 the wii u pro controller feels so bad in the hand
If I connect my ps3 joystick to my pc i always have a little bit late reaction do someone knows why?
(Sorry for my english)
the playstation controller is the grandfather of all the controllers listed since it came out before the xbox
The gamecube
The gamecube contoller came out in 2001 while the play station came out in 1994
Vincent Dinatale lol
Vincent Dinatale *Cough* Nes controller *cough*
NINTENDO CAME OUT WAY BEFORE PLAYSTATION...
Apparently, there's a thing called "DualShock 4 Wireless Adaptor" I bought it along with my DS4 and it works like a charm.
you all may be saying dual shock is godlike, but it fucks your Bluetooth driver up if you try to play wirelessly
Only downfall if you could really consider it being one is that X=A O=B square=X triangle=Y in terms of button translation.
steam controller is my favorite
james Paul Sorry but its pretty trash...
Young Pedru I'm sure you haven't used it, so how can you say that?
The design of it, and a PC controller is not gonna be better than a console controller, it's that simple...
You are able to use the PS4 controller wirelessly with the DS4 software as long as your computer has Bluetooth capability, if it doesn't it's pretty cheap to buy a USB Bluetooth Antenna to add the wireless functionally to your PC.
what about ps3 controller it's pretty comfortable and it works great
Used all of them, I'm loving the steam controller the most. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
gamecube for melee
Gamecube for life bro
GameCube best controller
NVIDIA SHIELD Controller!
reputedink I was thinking the same thing, it's an amazing controller, it's VERY unfortunate it only works with NVIDIA GPUs.
Just an FYI (that may have already been pointed out by someone), but even though there are XBOX One controllers marketed as "For Windows" ANY XBOX One controller will work fine hard connected to the PC. Just use any old micro usb cable to connect the controller to your PC and you're ready to go!
Did he use chewing gum to hold the gamepads upright?
Blue22111
That probably isn't if he wishes for there not to be a sticky residue left on them, so something probably more like poster putty honestly.
I prefer mouse and keyboard. Rekt.
believe me, games like gta v, ac & any racing games are hell without controller
+BanditFromHell ™ Batman Arkham games. XD
+RantinRaginOtter Minecraft hahah LOL
+Mythrintia Iv just converted over to mouse and keyboard..and let me tell you!
it feels like i have way more power in my hands now..lol..im Neva using the controller for shooters again and i dont play racing games so yeah..Nice
I prefer just a keyboard
You actually don't even need to run any other programs to get the DS4 to work. Steam recently implemented a full mapping system for it straight from any games steam menu. (Before you run the game) just open steam in big picture mode and then plug in your DS4 and the menu will automatically pop up and walk you though it. They actually have it were there's different options for the mapping that you can download individually for each game, right from the community. 👍🏻👌🏻
I'll stick to my classic DualShock 3, the DS4 feels like crap compared to the DS3
I've had my controllers for like 3 years
(Dual shock 4s)
And I love them. They're still working just fine.
You're an idiot
Elitist Prince Dizzy
Whats wrong with yo fingas?
DS3? that POS awkward super cheap plasticy thing in ur hand? DS4 trumps it
i bought a specifically wired (but wireless compatible) xbox one controller for a little more than 30$, so far it has been working really well, and has no lag time. i can run games like rocket league and subnautica perfectly and can use it for overwatch. personally i would use the xbox one controller becasue it feels more natural and i dont like the size of the other controllers
DJ Unreal yes
I don't know if you guys have tried it....but a pretty solid option that works out of the box is the nvidia shield controller
Xbox One controller really has a smooth tint that make it comfortable
I've been using the DualShock 4 for Android and PC gaming for over 18 months now (I don't own a PS4). The XBOX360 controller may be the best bang for your buck, but the DS4 turned out to be a solid PC controller in the long run. You only need to install MS XBOX 360 Accessories and InputMapper to get it working. Games will recognize the DS4 as an XBOX 360 controller.
My Xbox 360 broke so now I use 360 controllers because I grew up using them and I have a golden one. I just love playing new games with a last gen controller.
1. The DualShock4 has a wireless option through Bluetooth
2. Wireless capability for the Xbox one and 360 is behind a $20 paywall
