    I recall singing this in 1st grade right after we recited the Pledge of Aligence, it was always a favorite of mine to sing. A song of power and faith, rich in history that is now mocked and scorned. Well , I was curious if anyone even remembered this beloved hymn and to my joyous surprise 100's of results popped onto my search page! HIS TRUTH is marching on!!! As the song says GLORY! GLORY! HALLELUJAH!

      It completely eradicates the meaning of that part which is honoring the dead and that we can't be free without blood shed and it's outrageous

    Very moving! Such powerful and soul quenching words manifesting in God's power. Thank you for sharing this. Lately, this song popped in my head and will not let me go ( no need to send help...Help is here). I've been going around listening to different versions of it, so this version is my favorite because they put emphasis when and where it is called for. The tune to this sounds like one of the anthems of England...jus my thoughts.

    I wish you had a picture of the firemen raising the flag at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001. That was certainly as inspirational as the Marines raising the flag at Iwo Jima after a hard won battle.

    I can’t believe the arrogance and presumptuousness in changing Julia Ward Howe’s as He died to make men holy let us die to make men free to let us live to make men free. SING IT THE WAY IT WAS WRITTEN!

    God I hate this version of the song. It's a damn march, not a freaking lullaby, this is to damn slow, and sure as hell not emphatic and imposing. This is a song that when you hear it the sound alone should give the feeling of a regime marching into battle, not a chorus singing in an auditorium.

    • @Disneyfan82
      @Disneyfan82 Před 2 lety +1

      Shut up already, what does it matter how it's sung as long as it's still holds the meaning on fighting for freedom and against all injustices.

    • @Kingofredeyes
      @Kingofredeyes Před 2 lety +1

      @@Disneyfan82 a lot actually. Imagine America the Beautiful sung in hip hop or the National Anthem as a rap. Neither invoke the feelings behind the meanings and messages of the songs.
      It would be like telling someone their is a fire in the building while laughing. You are trying to save their life but they would consider it a joke. How you present a message is just as important as the message itself.

    • @Disneyfan82
      @Disneyfan82 Před 2 lety +1

      @@Kingofredeyes Well it's not a rap song or hip hop. This is sung as it's always has been.
