In this video I show how to install aftermarket brake and clutch levers for my 2017 Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S. These black levers are from CXEPI and were purchased from Amazon (link below). The levers have a nice semi-gloss finish with white Vulcan S logo on the front. The installation is very easy and requires minimal tools. I chose these levers because they help complete the blacked out look I am going for on my Vulcan 650. These levers come in multiple colors as well and will work with all model year Vulcan 650's (2015 - Present). Check out more Vulcan 650 videos below!

Question the switch behind de clutch lever said PASS for what is?
I believe it makes the headlight flash so you can tell on coming traffic to pass, not 100% sure though, never used it
Nice video but that “gunk” was grease. You have to apply fresh grease on levers when you install them. It helps to reduce abrasion on the finished surfaces, makes it easier to operate and helps to prevent binding.
Yea you right..I applied some grease to the levers afterwards

I haven't replaced the turn signals yet. The LED headlight I have has integrated turn signals but I haven't connected them yet. That video will be coming soon!

Hey bro, the short ones are way way better! So much easier to quick shift, I love them. And you can adjust the distance to the handle bar too, they are amazing. I think I did another video on the riding review with them check it out. Ride safe man!
I bought the same Vulcan S branded levers from Amazon 2.5 years ago, but somehow I didn’t like them on the bike, so went back to stock..

@@Kamdorian No.. It’s just the looks that I didn’t like.. Smaller levers appeared a kind of disproportionate.. I may give them another try though..

was it easy to adjust the clutch pull when you swapped out the levers ? feel like my clutch lever is loose
Yes very easy. You can tighten the clutch cable without swapping the levers. Check the bike manual for instructions.
quick question. on the clutch side what is that little toggle that says "PASS" above it for?
its a button that activates the high beam and is used to flash vehicles in front of you to tell them you are going to pass them or tell vehicles that you are signaling them to go ahead...similar to how in cars you flash the high beams at someone to tell them to go ahead
its for you to signal to pass
It gives you 200 more horsepower so you can pass cars
after you change the clutch lever, is it lighter than the old one?
Yes much lighter and easier to pull especially because it is closer to the handlebars. You can also change the tension in the clutch cable by adjusting the wires. Check the Vulcan 650 manual, it has a section on adjusting the clutch wire tension
They're not collapsible, are they? The link in the description to the folding levers
Not sure what you mean by collapsible? The levers can be adjusted to change the distance from the handle bars.
Hey, do they feel loose? I bought the ones from the amazon link, and they are very loose. Im thinking about buying the same ones you have throught Aliexpress
No they are nice and tight for me. Did you double check the bolts used to attach them? Could be missing washer or spacer if you didn't attach it
Yea there was only the levers in the package, but maybe i could add a one, thanks for the idea
Why no lever covers, protectors?
I don't ride in the rain or off road so no need for them. Unless they offer other kinds of protection I'm unaware of?

Did you have a problem on clutch lever.I can't get it adjusted enough to shift.
I had no problem. Check the tightness of your clutch cable might need to make it tighter if your unable to shift. Also check the gear shifter itself, could have something loose there

You replace the original levers for cheep Chinese levers to get a different color? Interesting. I'm looking at the fatality rate for American bikers. It's higher than for Indian and European bikers. I no longer wonder why.
The levers are not cheap and they are strong durable materials. Much better than stock levers in both functionality and ease of use, make it actually safer because the rider is more comfortable. You seem to have an irrational bias against Chinese products. Connecting fatality rates to the levers is laughably stupid. Do more research before you publicly shame yourself
