I love the amount of detail you put into dry fitting and laying things out and why it's important to do so. My stepdad was helping me with my first tile job a few years back and I couldn't believe the amount of time he spent laying things out for fit, function, and finish. At the time I thought he was WASTING time, but I was very mistaken. When we began the installation we flew right through because we had planned for every corner, floor vent, and edge. Since then, I've taken the time to lay things out for each phase of our projects. To anyone reading this (including myself) it's important to remember to slow down and take the time to think about the finished look. You're already saving so much money by doing it yourself, you owe it to yourself to maximize that savings by making it LOOK professional, well thought out, and executed.

You are by far the most impressive instructor I've ever seen on this stuff. You seem to really love what you do, you are easy to listen to and easier to understand with your full explanations. I've found motivation to tackle a lot of projects myself thanks to you.

Very informative! I'm in the 100 phase of our bathroom remodel (lol) where I'm installing a 60" x 36" soaking tub. Watched your videos on installing the drain and overflow and tub faucets, determined that what needed to happen required calling in a licensed plumber to reroute everything. NO shame in admitting I needed professional help and was in over my head with that portion. But the backerboard and tile installation will be something I can handle, since I have a general knowledge of laying floor tile. You have a fan now, I will be watching your videos for other projects and helpful tips!

Great info about the tile installations. I like to put the line that comes out of the laser to the edge of the tile to make it easier to see that my tiles are on a straight line.
