It is not considered a criminal case in US. It is a civil case. All they can do is invite him by suing him to court. If he did not show up, they might make judgement on him without him being there. If he now doesn't pay it will be a felony (I believe). I'm not sure but American court system is different from our system. You have to go through a regular process.

Wasiu Ayinde was supposed to perform in Detroit 2yrs ago. I can confirm that. I did not pay for my ticket before i heard that Wasiu could not make it. To be honest, I cannot confirm if people’s money were refunded or not. I won’t say he is a bad man but i remembered this particular incident in Detroit. We were all disappointed and covid did not even let most people fight for their money like that.
