      I heard a neurosurgeon describe the injuries reported on Bob Sagat's autopsy, and with his several decades of experience, he said that when he has seen those types of injuries, it was usually due to a trauma due to a bad car accident or a fall from great heights. • @thejils1669
    @thejils1669 Před 2 lety +51

    As an ER doc, this is one of the most bizzare cases I've heard about. The history goes that Mr. Saget after his standup routine in Jacksonville, drove (?himself or using Uber) those many miles for several hours to his hotel in Orlando, arriving there at around 2am the following morning. More than likely then the trauma would have occurred when and after he arrived in Orlando since there was no reported MVA involving Mr. Saget during his car trip and there were no witnessed injuries while Mr. Saget was in Jacksonville. Now, bear in mind, this would've had to have been significant trauma to cause skull fractures to this extent. Also, usually with skull fractures of this magnitude there are usually outward signs of trauma such as lacerations, contusions, and skin breakage accompanied by readily apparent externally bleeding. But none was evident. What happened here? Perhaps they need to get the statement of any driver (?Uber) he may have used, review hotel video surveillance and reexamine the head for further clues as to what he could've struck his head on to cause such significant skull fractures. The other possibility that I thought of is perhaps an unusual bone "thinning" problem such as osteoperosis maybe due to D3 deficiency...but this really far off the grid and more than likely something that would be detected much earlier than this.

    • @Tee19691
      @Tee19691 Před 2 lety +7

      Perhaps he was accosted before he left Jacksonville, maybe in the parking lot and killed him and the person(s) involved drove him to the Ritz , told the front desk they were his body guard maybe slipped sone $$ to the desk clerk. Bob was incapacitated can they get the key, or propped him in the lobby so it looked believable and the involved brought him to the room. However the wife said she spoke to him before bed, I don't believe that happend, someone may have used his phone to call her, that way she can say she spoke with Bob, but the goof up is saying she spoke with Bob and he thought nothing of the bump on his head. When he clearly wasn't conscious to do that per experts. However.. Why would the wife say Bob talked about a bump on his head before the autopsy report came out? She was telling the media about her conversation with Bob and him shrugging off the head bump before his autopsy report came back. Even if cops told her it look like he hit his head, experts are saying he wouldn't be conscious to make that call..🤔 or the hotel video and door data is trashed on purpose.
      On another note that Dr Bazarian who quoted that your skull is like an egg can crack from front to back..I wouldn't want him treating me or my family, with a lazy statement like that when other Expert MD'S said opposite of him that this was a high force injury.

If authorities had no reason to suspect foul play there would not have been a crime scene, or further forensic research. I'm unable to find any evidence there was an investigation at all. As the neurologist stated, it is possible it was a fall & he was still able to get himself into bed. I certainly hope that is the case & foul play isn't determined through further investigation. I've seen 3 people die from falls most folks don't even get a bruise from, someone die from a bruise that was a long way from bad... and elderly people take incredible falls and have zero injuries. My Dad once fell heading to the toilet and broke both the tank and the stool- his only negative impact was that he inhaled water when it flooded over him. He had a dozen other falls, some of which made the news they were so spectacular. Hard, hard head lol. It was his love of ice cream that killed him in the end. RIP, old man.

He didn’t break anything and he was in his late 70’s with terminal cancer. I could not control it and it didn’t stop until after I had counted seven more ear-tingling smashes into the floor. When I was finally able to move, I was foggy headed. I drank a glass of water, two full pots of tea, and waited for my hands to stop shaking and vision to clear. My head felt tender at the back, but no bleeding, in spite of the vicious head-banging. I then walked about four feet, and blacked out, this time falling face first. Again, I woke up, banging my FACE into the floor this time. It was terrifying. Blood all over, but the water and tea must have made it to where it was needed, because I awoke in a considerably better condition and was able to function close to normal. Cleaned up the mess and went to bed, like as if I was fine. I could easily have died like Bob, if I hadn’t had access to the fluids I needed, and the presence of mind to DRINK as much and as soon as I did. If I hadn’t ingested the water when I did, I probably would have fallen again and NOT awakened.

      I suppose part of the reason they are not at this time suggesting foul play would be because the hotels cameras show no one suspicious in hallways or around his hotel door, and maybe just him going in and out, with the door found locked, maybe with the inside bolt, and both key cards in the room. Doesn't rule out hotel staff, but I suspect he slipped and fell in the bathtub/bathroom. He was a fairly large guy, and for him to slip and fall, it could have produced a bad head fracture. Just my speculation, but again, when they say no evidence of foul play, I would hedge my bets with the professional investigators unless new evidence comes to light. Just my opinion.

      @@melanies.6030 - I cant argue with your logic. I was just thinking a blow to the head that broke bone ‘should’ have made a mess or impact somewhere. Are there balcony’s accessible by agile people? When I was in college we’d hop from one balcony to another 20 floors up to get between friends rooms without a second thought. And I’d hope that if I died from a blow to my head that someone might do due diligence and look into who else might/could have accessed the room. I remember one company I worked for that had digital security cameras everywhere. We had a series of thefts, that didn’t show up on the video cameras. Turns out the network router was programmed to reboot every night and the thieves knew this, they had about a two minute window to enter, grab a few things and exit. I ask cuz I did exactly the same, lost consciousness, had a severe concussion, memory loss , etc and there was a ton of blood. I mean a lot of blood. Head wounds bleed like there's no tomorrow. So, where was the blood? Oh, and I'm like 5'2". So I had a lot shorter distance to fall.

    It's curious that his injury appears so severe, and yet apparently he just went to bed. Chances are, like often, the most obvious is exactly what happened. He may have fallen in the shower, and had a double knock (hit the back of his head, and then hit the front after rebounding from the first). Celebrities are often isolated, and he tried to grin and bear it, but felt sleepy so that's what he did. Nothing else points to another occurrence other than a single very hard bump to the head that caused other damage.

    Since everybody's structure and genetic makeup is different and unique to themselves (unless you're an identical twin I suppose), perhaps he had genetic variants that made him more susceptible to internal/bone density damage without a whole lot of body signals to let a person know something is wrong. I believe that whatever details that caused his passing that his family wish to keep private should be respected. I'm sure the people who are given the full information from the family have an understanding as to why it's considered not an event of foul play. The responsible parties are the only ones who deserve to know a families specific health history and that list does not include journalists and/or members of the media. In all actuality they don't have to tell anyone anything from fans to haters and just anyone in the general public. My opinion is this families boundaries should be respected as well as their feelings and how they chose to grieve because it's no one's business but his loved ones. 🕊 Rest in peace kind soul ♡🦓
