    The beginning area feels kinda slow, plus in that area there wasn’t much to do/look at I’d say. When I got to the second area I was pleasantly surprised by the map and extra gameplay mechanics but sadly many Roblox players wouldn’t get that far because most just join, see toolbox assets, and the slow feeling and then leave. This was extremely good for a first (Roblox) game and can’t wait for any future ones you’ll be making!

    I am a roblox developer and it feels great seeing other developers try roblox studio for the first time and enjoy it, especially when they think it’s for young kids. Even young kids make roblox games that are enjoyable, which gives them more opportunities in the future. I tried roblox studio for the first time when I was 10 years old. Few years later, I still like making games in roblox. Congratulations, this is your most popular video on your channel 🎉. Also I would love to play your game. Looks great.

      @@alexdacat Heya, learning to code while young here too! I've been learning java for a while, just made my first tiny little text based story "game" (had a few various endings depending on what you picked up/what routes you took) inside of vs code. It's a long journey, but a rewarding one, and it's something I have a lot of passion for. If you could, say, go back and learn coding again at a young age, what would you do to accomplish this? Asking just because any input is super helpful when you're self learning, thanks in advance!

This is the only platform you will see have so young many indie developers see success (a surprising amount make millions at < 18 years old). The only downside right now is that it’s in a gold rush era: there’s so much competition that your game has to be the perfect formula, because there are 100s of game alternatives out there.

    The game looks really polished for only 2 weeks of dev work, I know I wouldn't be able to make anything close, but it is unfortunate that it is a simulator game, as those are oversaturated cash grabs right down to those exact same square pets and tend to barely have what could be considered gameplay. Personally I make a point to avoid simulator games for these reasons, they all feel the same and are often numbing grinds with no goals.
    However, this shows more depth in gameplay than pretty much every simulator you see on the front page and although that isn't impressive in itself, it shows some great promise for what you could make both in idea and execution. I would love to see what games you make next, as this was just a test after all and so you could potentially make some really high quality games.
    I'm glad that you see that ROBLOX isn't just some kid game platform, and that people can make some incredible stuff on it, such as HOURS, Evade, A Universal Time, Arcane Reborn, Boost Vector, World // Zero and so much more.
    I'll be keeping an eye on this channel to see what you make next!

    Honestly, the big reason I play Roblox is because there's so much indie potential and talent, as well as adaptability. Someone has a game you love, but there's some bugs that tick the whole community off? Chances are, someone's already fixed all those bugs *for fun* (though, admittedly, there tend to not be reposts with genuine bug fixes or whatever.
    Plus, it's convenient, you can have all these games, 99% of which are free, all in one place, and with little space consumption. Roblox is all you need, and for my computer at least, it's very light on the storage side, yet I can play... Let's see... Phantom Forces, Venture Tale, Vesteria, Loomian Legacy, Demonfall, Sound Space, HOURS, Swordburst 2, and hundreds of others without any lag, and without needing to download anything new unless Roblox itself needs an update.

    One thing lots dont under standabout roblox; the blockiness of it and the childiness is just the theme of roblox's main games, at the end of the day roblox still uses LUA, And with enough effor you could probably recreate any game out there

    It’s crazy how u built all of that in roblox. If u wanna find a few games that sometimes make me mistake as irl, or just some horror games that dont look like roblox (I’m not kidding when I say that) just reply to this comment. I bet if u put more practice into roblox u might become a pretty known dev and make some really crazy and awesome games!

    That's actually sick! I always wanted to be a roblox developer, but always forget about it after like 10 tutorials. I want to start to learn again, even though I KNOW I'm gonna forget. All of it is because i thought it was gonna be easy, that i can do in 2 weeks like you, but then realised that it takes time.

    As a former developer on Roblox, the only thing i am gonna comment about is the "All the effort and creativity", my guy trust me, now days Roblox games literally are a copy/paste of simulation games, which for me doesn't make it creative, you should have played roblox a couple of years before, which had a plenty of different games, from realistic games to simulators(not that many), and people were actually getting creative with the platform. Now days the whole Roblox game page is just sad, and most of the developers on the platform(not all of them) just copy and paste those simulator games and adjusting some things like changing the theme so it's not the same as the old one

    • @alexdacat
      @alexdacat  Před rokem

      Yeah that’s a bummer. Hopefully that means actually creative games can rise to the top!

    • @HardNinjaGreatorDev
      @HardNinjaGreatorDev Před rokem

      @@alexdacat I hope so, but as a user from 2009, i can see that the now days community of Roblox is mostly kids under 13, which means that the developers has to arrange the games to be the same as most of them existing right now, simple games without much effort into their playstyle. So for me as much as i wish Roblox can get the community and the Developers it used to have, i don't think so

    • @HardNinjaGreatorDev
      @HardNinjaGreatorDev Před rokem

      Also now days the developer exchange has dropped down which makes you kinda forced to create that one specific playstyle game, else you will struggle to make any money, Roblox has fucked up for real

  • @GlyphidGuard

    The thing that terrifies me most in scripting is the fact that if you make 1 mistake in word or symbol your game can just break, and then you got to check part names and script for few hours to find something, I type fast with sometimes pressing on 2 buttons accidentally, this is the problem I guess

    • @trickedandtrolled
      @trickedandtrolled Před rokem +1

      you dont have to search for hours if you know where the code is for the thing that broke (or if there is an error in the output log)

    Alright, Hyper Game Studio Owner here, I would suggest you adding better animations, if you cant animate, you can always hire a professional developer for as cheap as 2-5$ per animations or you could install the plugin moon animator, which will let you animate your own stuff.
    You should also learn to use blender for models and a lot of other things, they would look a LOT better and people would give a lot more attention to your games if you decide to do so, and you could also add visual effects every time you M1 to give the game a nice touch, but once again, you will have to learn that or hire someone to do that job for you.
    If you want your game to be absolute quality, you should also hire someone to make particles or make particles yourself, this makes the games look 100x better, but it also causes lag so you should try to find a way to limit that lag, maybe by reducing the amount of particles or by other means.
    I would also suggest not using free models, free models usually have viruses in them which will infect your game, exploiters will be able to have working serversided scripts which can ban, kick, kill players, or, really anything, it's like if roblox had no anticheat basically.

  • @justsomecommunistwithinter2627

    You only saw the front-page games, directed at children. For some games, you need to dig in deep. (There's some utlra-realistic games, you can search that on youtube) At the polar opposite, there's games like fireteam, or dead ahead and trenches:beta which put alot of effort into combat, games like starscape like to focus on space exploration. Games like entry point require critical thinking, there's recreations of movies, like "pro-tardis" which mimics the function of the tardis from doctor who perfectly, and there's a plethora of other hundreds of other genres.
