- MOST DIETS FAIL, including the carnivore diet. People start diets for good reasons, make long term promises to themselves, eagerly plan and start their new regimen, AND LAST A FEW DAYS before they CRASH and BURN. binging on all the addictive garbage that got them into the mess they are in.
I lay out a realistic way to manage your expectations and be prepared for the inevitable RUDE AWAKENING and what it takes to survive it.

Recently I spent some time with my 2 brothers. They both wanted me to know that eating just meat is not healthy. I told them I’m the only one in our group who is on zero medication. Let this sink in.
Yep. Ask them to define healthy and explain that you fit the definition better than those who claim it isn’t healthy.
My new response to carnivore skeptic’s…”what medications do you take?”
@@TheCuratorIsHere let's hope they heard you. I will be going on a short break with my sisters next weekend. I am sure they will tell me the same thing. I plan on asking if they want to be correct or happy. For me I want to be happy after battling depression, arthritis, constipated for half the month and sad and in pain I want to be happy. Will make one month on carnivore on 3rd July. I have been happy. No pain. No agony. I feel light. I feel bright. No more bloated. I just feel like a massive load has been lifted off of me. I don't know how long I will do it but I intend to live this way as long as I can afford to buy meat.
I have a cousin in France who is a nurse and overweight and on meds. She told me that because she is a nurse she knows everything about diets and that carnivore is unhealthy. She thinks that because she has medical training her opinion is supreme. This woman is so ignorant. I too take no medications!
*Mic DROP* 💪🏽
I am weeping every day when I pick up my granddaughter from school--the little kids running around with jaws constantly chewing ! Children get rewarded for good work with a sweet or a cookie .Young boys waddling, ,struggling to walk Parents seem not to notice, because they look the same.
And yet, nobody thinks anything is wrong
The problem for me will be when I'm traveling and not near my normal system of obtaining and cooking meat.
That's so sad 😭
"Your life STOPS revolving around food." YESSS!!!! It is so liberating. I don't even care that much about flavor anymore it just has to BE MEAT. I even eat it with my bare hands sometimes. Feels so primal. And not having a bloated belly after I eat is a miracle. Never going back to Hellville!
so true! eat for function and health. Meat and fat feel and taste good. Now if I eat something garbage like bread, I feel horrible.
It is very liberating! I dread eating now because I am never hungry and when I do it after a half dozen mouthfuls, my stomach does not want any more food period!
I often eat with my bare hands too! 😆 what is that about??!
Same... It's nice to eat something and not have cramps after eating it...
Also, I'm okay with most meats. And I just want it to be salted. Not peppered, no garlic'ed... Just salt.
What got me was at 30 years old, diagnosed with PCOS, hypothyroid, fatty liver, almost pre-diabetic, highly insulin resistant, ridiculous anxiety, unrelenting depression, high blood pressure, and very fat. Just getting worse and worse. I decided to beat the dark thoughts. I decided I do want to live.
Thank you, Mitch. Your videos mean a lot. It really is fun to see you out and about having energy, being happy, enthusiastic, and just chilling. This is what I want for my life too. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Yes carnivore will bless you on so many levels.
Kurbera…
Your story is eerily similar to my story.
I’m 62 yrs old and 510 days ago I was morbidly obese at 300 lbs, and after having been pre-diabetic for several yrs, I had just been diagnosed with full blown T2 diabetes, fatty liver disease and sky high blood pressure.
On top of that, I had terrible acid reflux, sleep apnea, migraines, IBS, Chronic fatigue and arthritis in my knees and back so bad I could hardly walk, and I’ve suffered with bipolar depression, anxiety and ADHD for a long time.
Well I told my doctor that I wanted 6 mos to try and find a way to cure myself with diet and exercise before going on insulin and more meds.
I googled “Reversing Dibetes” and found a Dr Ken Berry video that changed and saved my life.
In that video he talked about a Proper Human Diet, insulin, insulin resistance, how to avoid sugar, highly refined grains and toxic veg seed oils and how to eat lots of beef (fatty red meat) Butter, Bacon & , eggs (BBB&E), and I just did everything he told me to do… plus I started as keto with some non starchy veg, nuts and berries in the first few months. I then went ketovore and am now 90-95% carnivore.
Well here I am now, down 93 lbs to 207… my lowest weight since I was 21 yrs old, and ALL the above physical and mental conditions are…
COMPLETELY GONE OR IN FULL REMISSION AND I’M OFF ALL MEDS!!
You can do it too Kurbera!!!!!❤❤❤
I’ve never felt better in my entire life. My energy levels, mental clarity and focus is off the charts and after a painful divorce and being fat, sick, depressed and completely alone for 12 yrs…
I’ve met the most sweet and wonderful woman and I’m happy, healthy and hopeful (“The 3 H’s of a Proper Human Diet”) again.
Please feel free to contact me anytime for help, questions, support, etc. and as Mitch always says…
EAT SOME MEAT!!!

@@Papacarnivore15 Your words put a smile on my face! If I knew you, I'd give you a big and tell you that I was "proud" of you! 😊
Good for you for taking control of your journey! I wish you an abundance of health and success. ❤
I really like the fact that you are walking at a good pace while talking without losing your breath : )
Thanks for noticing that. This carnivore thing actually works! ... LOL
@@OldGuyCarnivoreDo you have a recommended walking shoe?
I was thinking the same thing. We walk every day. And I got winded at first. Took a bit not too. I also stop and do push-ups at the park
Yes I walk much better than any one else my age a lot better I've started carnivore January 1st and I have no addictions I was never on any medications and I'm 73
It's really helping my type one diabetes that I had since I was 42.
Watched to the end! Decided I’m glad I’m old so no one questions my idiosyncratic. Went out to dinner last night as a celebration of my nieces graduation . Everyone laughed at me for my hamburger patty with just salt, but they are seeing what has been happening to my body, and now asking questions. I’m 75 so no one is on my case, and many of them are in my too fat boat. Thank you Mitch! Because you are closer to my age , I relate more to you than the other carnivores out there with videos . I do understand the science and tried hard to do the Atkinson then Keto diets. That’s what they were, diets! I do feel like this will be my lifestyle from now on. At least I’ll try. I am living with my hubby who brings all his crazy poisons into the house and can do nothing to stop him. I actually cringe when he eats that junk, so I’m doing well. Weight loss is very slow and a bit frustrating, but I walked yesterday around a block, first time in years I was able to do that. I’m getting there. And I believe it is many thanks to you! So keep up the great informational conversation on your journey. Just 2 months into my journey, and finding Carnivore the easiest diet I have ever tried..
That's so great!!
You started the same time l did. Good luck to you. 2 mos ago l could barely lift my 9lb great-grandson. I went off my statins and threw myself into the carnivore diet. He is now 15 lbs and l am babysitting him a couple times a week with no problems. I'm now researching how to make carnivore baby food as he'll be getting ready to eat real food next month.
That is really great to hear!
Awesome! Keep it up!!!
Congrats if you are at standstill with weight loss consider a reset such as a sardine challenge it really works, I lost 3 pounds first day good way to reset, just search sardine challenge ♥️
I hear that, my indoctrinated family, doesn’t acknowledge my recovery, from heart disease, alcohol addiction and many other benefits, they think I’m still sick, and tell me I’m killing myself, it’s a tough road, but I’m stronger and have the mental clarity now to see what’s going on. Good one Mitch.😊
Isn’t it interesting that they probably didn’t take the time to say anything to you when you were sick and overweight….
yet now, after you’re healing yourself and losing weight, feeling better…
they have all the time in the world to tell you how eating meat is going to make you sick or kill you…
I feel your pain and frustration bc I get the same crap from many of my family, friends and co-workers too.
I can’t worry about what others think or say, particularly those that are fat, sick and depressed, and are eating the SAD (or vegetarian or vegan) diet and are heading to disaster.
We must do what makes us feel healthy, what helps us to reach the proper healthy weight, and what makes us feel…
LIKE A PROPER NATURAL HUMAN…
Eating lots of fatty meat, eggs and butter, beef tallow, bacon, etc!!!!!😊😊
That’s funny… did they tell you what to eat when you were eating a SAD diet, sugar, carbs, grains. seed oils, processed foods and crap??
My guess is no.
But NOW they want to voice their concern when you’ve repaired your health and feel so great by simply eating meat and eggs??
Wow… how unhealthy!! lol!!!
Humans have been eating fatty red meat and eggs for millions of years. If eating this way was bad for humans, we would be extinct as a species by now right??
Hang in there, jeff, it gets easier
I am exactly your age, Carnivore the past 11 months, and am doing great. Thank the lord I left all plants and grains behind. Meat and water baby. No plants, No Grains, No problems. !!
I've noticed that not only is there 'sloppy keto', there's now 'sloppy carnivore'. CZcamsrs are making carnivore 'bread' and 'tortillas'. We don't want to give up what we are used to. The next step will be big food corporations putting carnivore 'cookies' on the shelf!
I'm sure we can count on that before very long
Ya that addiction is powerful. Worse is that we see dozens of reminders of these things thrown in our face everyday all day and encounter them under our noses whenever people eat around us. It takes serious mental fortitude to stay committed to clean carnivore. It’s not a famous stunt just to lose weight. It’s the diet our species was designed on. That can’t be stressed enough. Our gut and total biology doesn’t have the capacity for anything but carnivore.
Not making Recipes is one of my fav things about Carnivore! I love the simplicity of Carnivore. Granted I have no kids at home any more. I like Laura Spath's way of doing Carnivore with her kids. Organic was just coming the rage when I was raising my kids but there was still Organic "junk". Then There was Paleo and I wasn't abt health, I was abt how I looked. The good thing to come from that for me was incorporating more whole foods and lifting weights.
There's already a trend towards this kind of thing with various brands of 'carnivore snax' and 'meat bars' that a lot of carnivore celebrities are now shilling
There is nothing sloppy about carnivore bread. It's egg whites, salt, and beef or pork gelatin. Most carnivore tortilla recipes are also very clean. Heck, sometimes we just want a sandwich or some toast with our bacon and eggs.
I have to be honest with myself. I would not have started carnivore in my 30s. I lived to eat. Only desperation and pain made me an honest carnivore. Difficult to explain to the younger generation.
It’s funny, when that warranty expires and you start to fall apart, you have to make changes. If I could get ahold of my 20-something year old self, I’d give her a shake and firm talking to.
Just turned 28 & today is 50 days carnivore 🙏🙌
I realized it takes care of my IBS which I had since I was 19. I would have definitely ate carnivore most of the time if I had know it would have kept my weight off, gave me more energy, AND left me with no gas pain.
I'm 37 now and I am SO thankful for God's leading me to this lifestyle.
Hey! I started one day after you!
No more gas & bloating! No more feeling sluggish after eating! I forgot what it’s like to have such a sharp mind. All glory to God for revealing the truth about our food industry to me!
Sugar addiction started when mothers were discouraged from breast feeding right after WW2 and babies were put on cow's milk with corn syrup added. The pablum cereals and bananas, fruit juice, white bread, and KD generation.
Enjoyed that. Walked thru bakery section at Costco today. It was a beautiful memory. Get behind me, not today. Praise God.
I’m on round 2 of my carnivore journey. The first time failed because I went on a roadtrip 30 days after starting. The temptations and convenience of fast foods won. Not this time. No roadtrips, no special events, no birthday parties. I’m living a secluded life until this addiction is under control. 16 days in and I feel great with no end in sight! Cravings are far and few between.
I think you've discovered one of the main problems
Good on you Stephen, make it your lifestyle and don't look back. You've had your whole life to enjoy poisoning yourself. From this point on you'll be continually healing your mind and body. Never say die. The longer you remain steadfast the stronger your will become, like a muscle being continually exercised.
Im at my 50 th start on Carnivore. Lasted two months last try. Now on carbs for two weeks. 1st July is a new start.
I guess everyone is different. I’m entering my 11th month on carnivore and I won’t sugar coat it. Not every time, but many times, I enter the supermarket and get a whiff of the bakery I get temptations! 56 years of being a raving sugar addict is not easy for me, without some effort, to overcome. How I’ve been combating that is on those shaky days I’ll splurge for a special more costly cut of beef I wouldn’t normally buy, something like a tomahawk ribeye or a prime ribeye and I immediately go home and eat it. Then I’m good.
Sounds like you're on the right track
Age 72! Food addiction is a real thing for me. 28 days in with a few emotional slips. I am determined though😊
Boy so much truth. And I’m so thankful to have found carnivore at 53. I have lost almost 50 pounds. Still have probably 70 to go.
You're off to a great start
I started my health journey 26 months ago. I am surprised at what my body is capable of. I would have never thought I could be so dam healthy and happy, at 64 years old. This community has helped me to navigate through it. Thank you, Mitch.
My pleasure, Steve
As a 45-year-old with a wife and three kids, you really hit home for me in this video. The struggle is real for younger people. I’m just thankful that I’m living in today’s world where I have access to your videos, and others in the community. Thanks for not “sugar-coating” the message, Mitch.
That's great of you to say, Jonathan thank you my friend
I feel so blessed that my hubby joined me in this journey. Even more after this video, thank you😍
I’m in New Zealand , the first Costco arrived a year ago, in what was a relatively free fast food area, now opposite it beside the Costco petrol pumps, there are 4 huge new shops of Taco Bell, KFC, Starbucks and Carl Jnr.It’s frickin sickening. I can’t bear it, you’re right it is everywhere.
Best sentence I’ve heard in a while: “a raft of shit food”. Masterful video. Well done, Mitch
LOL
My illness that was eliminated was hemorrhoids -- plant fiber was the culprit.
That was one of my issues that was eliminated. Also, hypoglycemia for 25 years was cured. Prior, my life was planned around it!
Me too, could not do a painless #2 after going plant based for 2 years. Carnivore cured them in 3 -4 months.
Worst two years of my life.
Me too. I saw Dr. Chaffee's video on plants and why fibre was bad and after a short time, no more constipation, after decades of abuse.
True story, followed the damaging lie that you must have fibre, narrative no longer.
Bit by bit we'll being has returned after 50 years of damage effects and cost.
I live with people who think I'm crazy. My Millennial daughter is convinced imma die soon, while she and her husband and 2 year old son eat cereal for breakfast and fast food for lunch and pasta for dinner. It's so frustrating but i hope they'll see my progress and become open to hearing the truth
Let's hope so
True. The only way will be by example. Your family is plugged in to a system they can’t accept does not care about their welfare.
Worried about my children. Way too much false information available! If I had the information when I was young, I wouldn’t have weight problems, now! Everything is working for me now. Feeling better and making my children proud of their father!
Thirty years ago you’d have thought you were nuts as well.
You’re talking about sugar so where do you get the bright idea that fruits and vegetables are bad? Every normal person knows sugar is bad but you people somehow think whole food fruits and vegetables are also bad. Your nuts.
I am finding myself more and more alone and I’m fine with that. My health and freedom are everything to me. Phoenix AZ here!
What a great Video Mitch! ❤️ The Truth! I have been a Carnivore for 10 years… I am married to a Cuban who eats bread and sweets and rice and beans and he thinks I’m nuts with my Carnivore eating and we have two refrigerators in the house. We go to family events and everyone has pastries and pasta and carb overloading and I don’t eat any of it unless it’s meat. I don’t take any medication and I walk 4 miles a day. Thank YOU for this video and I hope people make the major changes of switching to Carnivore. God bless and keep it going! I Love your channel!
Wow…. That’s so difficult. You are a real trooper mj…!!
Luckily my girlfriend eats pretty clean, keto/low carb, and she understands and supports my way of eating.
Hopefully one day he will join you by adopting a Proper Human Diet (keto, carnivore or ketovore) and experience the physical, mental and emotional healing and weight loss that you’ve been able to achieve.
😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐮🐑🐷🥓😎👍
Thanks so much, that was very kind of you to say
Mitch I don’t watch you and Ken Berry and Bart K to lose weight lol. I spent most of my youth helpless in the religious community of my parents die hard Mormon. Who lived largely by a vegetarian lifestyle diet. It was killing me. I have intersex condition. Hormones all over the place. Very large pituitary gland and no thyroid gland. Ovatesties and all. That diet had my cholesterol barely above 100 total. I got cancer and diabetes from it. Finally as an adult I got wind of Dr Atkins dieting. Everyone thought it was a killer. He was ridiculed for it. I been carnivore for 28 years. Which is about the same amount of time I was a vegetarian. I feel like I have wound the clock backwards and reversed all the negative effects of eating plants. And my dual drive sex hormones do not make trouble for me. I would rather eat glass than eat another plant. 😂
When people ask why I eat this way I just say because it’s real food. It’s simple. Its easy. My glucose is never over a 100 after a meal. I can eat till I am stuffed and do that once a day. I can buy it in bulk for six months fats and salt and meat at the local butcher and it’s not even $150 total. All these problems doctors say I am supposed to have because of my condition haven’t happened and I am not dead from my cholesterol either 😅😅😅.
Would LOVE you to be interviewed by ‘Homestead How’ for the documentary ‘Healing Humanity’!!!
That's an amazing story, Patrice
Whoop whoop old man! Do your thing! Health, long life and every blessing to you champion.👏
You are so right about the junk foods being everywhere… I retired from a desk job at 69.. when someone brought in donuts or the whole department ate birthday cake… I would refuse to.. I noticed they changed. The sugar changes them… they are like hypnotized all day…
Great video,Mitch. Instead of having folks over for dinner, we have shifted to having people over for snacks and coffee, with music or just conversation. Snacks are usually bacon strips and garlic shrimp. Keep on trucking, dude.
Great idea, Ray
Thanks Mitch. I sure wish I hadn't waited until I was 67 to start carnivore. Hopefully, younger people will heed your advice.
I started at 68. Better late than never. Don’t look back and regret things you can’t change. Remember the expression, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life”? It’s so true.
I’m 62 and started a Proper Human Diet 510 days ago…
It’s never too late to start carnivore and adopt a Proper Human Diet.
Carnivore saved my life. I was 300 lbs with T2 diabetes, high blood pressure, IBS, migraines, acid reflux, chronic fatigue, arthritis in my knees and back so bad I could hardly walk, depression, anxiety and more.
Well here I am now at 207 lbs, down 93 lbs and at my lowest weight since I was 21, and ALL of the above conditions are gone or in full remission and I’m off all meds.
I’m Happy, Healthy & Hopeful (“The 3 H’s of a Proper Human Diet”), full of energy and I’ve got my life back again.

Well, maybe I can get a little bit cranky... LOL
A great name!😅
You are so right. Right about everything. 40 pounds down I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE KILLER DIET.
I’m down 30! Yay US!!!
I am in my 70’s, was carnivore for 10 months. I got my life back! Arthritis gone, sleeping better, could walk with a ton of energy that I never had since I was in my 40’s. Then I went off of carnivore, gained a lot of weight back, and the carbs and sugar made me unable to have any desire to get out of bed. I just kept eating every carb and a ton of ice cream. Arthritis is back, and I can’t think clearly.Today I am going to Costco to get meat. I am excited to get back to carnivore, yet I am fearful of it too, imagining that I will feel deprived, very deprived. This must be the carbs and sugar talking, and your video reminds me that the cravings will go away again. Thank you ever so much. I appreciate this video. Your encouragement is greatly helpful to me. God bless you. Keep making the videos.
Thanks so much!
Hang in there!
I came upon one of your videos last night, and here I am again. Almost 70 and have been doing Carnivore for about a month. I am feeling better, and know with eating Carnivore I will continue to heal my body.
As a side note, I had been praying for help, and I know Carnivore was a blessing from God. I told my daughter I was going to do it, and she said she had been thinking about it… long story short we are both doing it. I thank God daily!
Same story here… start 01 July 2024… my daughter also start with me… 😃
Meat eating is not a "blessing" from god. The garden of eden, Adam and Eve, were vegetarians.
Mitch, this is one of your best videos yet.
To those younger people, please listen to what Mitch is saying. I’m a 63 year old retiree whose wife had a severe stroke at a very early age and now has dementia. She was a terrible sugar and carb addict. She just couldn’t give it up to the point she would hide it from me. It’s not worth it. Her quality of life is gone. Not only did she ruin her life but it changes everything you know and love. Food is not everything, there is way more to life.
We were young once, and had hard heads too. We can only hope that maybe somebody takes this seriously
Sloppy keto is better than nothing because it may morph to clean keto and maybe even more. It is at least going in the right direction
The best testimonial to your health is the fact that you walk such a distance vigorously while talking without getting out of breath in the least...Wow! ❤
Thanks so much for noticing that
♥️
This video is not too long, Mitch. I always appreciate your pep talks.
Glad to hear that!
What got me was not being able to get out of bed one morning and put any weight on my left knee, the pain was incredible, worse than I have ever known. I have had problems in the past with my knees and have endured a lot of pain, as I am not a fan of medication. but this day, became my WHY, why I had to start Carnivore. I love my new lifestyle. I am 61 and I am on day 45. So simple to shop now and much cheaper. This is the best decision I have made for my health.
Dr Chaffee talks about how our chromasomal average life span is 120. Even before I discovered Carnivore (I was aware of Low Carb), I always told my family that my happiness goal in life was to hold and carry, without assistance, my great great grand children. With Carnivore I finally have a tool to get there. I am 43, now knowing only 1/3 my potential lifespan, and am fully and completely addicted to the crap addictive food but I'm at step 1. I know my problem and have a glimmer of hope by watching Carnivore influencers such as yourself. Keep on keeping on. We need to keep hearing success stories.
Thanks so much, and you are fortunate to have discovered this at your age
I’m also 43, animal-based, minimal carb since late January (I am not giving up coffee and I now crave olives, of all things). This is a game changer. The freedom from food addiction is incredible. My healing has been slow, but very noticeable.
You got this! I love your goal and wish you all the best. ❤
I am so lucky I find carnivore at my 50. I had so much health issue and giving up so many of my hopes and dream. I wanted hike up to many mountains like my early ages. Yet in reality, talking short walk was a struggle. I thought about giving up my hopes and knew I had to do something about it, and found keto at first. Then found carnivore. My healing journey is in the middle.I lost some weight and reversed my diabetes which is great news. I am now working on to change my life style forever to heal chronic diseases. I am sure I will be healed and healthy and happy as you soon!
That's great to hear
Mitch this is what every carnivore needs to here because there are so many distractions and devils and demons trying to put you in the graveyard.
Well done mate a real carnivore champion. 💪💪
Thank you Steve
Oh my goodness! A huge THANK YOU for being so straightforward with these truths. We needed it. Thank God that my family is on board. In fact, they are doing better than me! Another thing is "cheating" could be just habitual behavior. I don't really crave junk but I may eat it just because I used to eat it. Just sayin'. Anyway, thank you.
It took me a year of eating KETO snacks slowly gaining weight, fasting to try to lose the weight and running my body down all the while knowing I needed to start the carnivore lifestyle at 58 years young.
Great to hear, Andrew.
I dislike eating out now; how many of you have tried to explain that you do not want your food cooked in seed oils? You get looked at like you sprouted a third eye.
Asking to have your eggs cooked in butter, you might as well ask them to harvest the eggs from chickens on Mars.
That's true
I always have steak and poached eggs.
@@johnbutler3141 poach eggs is a great suggestion, thank you!
This is so true. It’s honestly too much to enjoy eating out. It doesn’t feel worth it.
Yay!!! No commercials, no ads(?) !!! Love it!!!🙏🏽
I try not to focus on the past. Each day I give God thanks, embrace the day, and learn something new. I'm 60 and discovered the Carnivore diet a few months ago and I'm grateful that I did. I embrace the newness of its benefits and is moving full speed ahead. Have a safe and beautiful day Mitch and all my Carnivore family.

I can't tell you the number of years i tried to get him to stop the horrible coffee creamer or even many years before that to go gluten free/paleo with me. Now he is Animal based and low carb. I'm so happy he and i can enjoy life together getting healthier one day at a time.
That's great to hear
Hi Mitch, you were spot on with the common posts of " I wish I learned this when I was younger, the things I could of done - the energy I would of had". I am angry about losing my mom to cancer at 44 and her sister to ALS at 68. I'm glad that I'm starting this lifestyle at 54.
I'm glad you found it earlier than I did
Thank you for making this extremely important video Mitch. So many in our community need to hear this message. The subject has been a source of stress in my life since going carnivore on March 5 2024. The anxiety pertains to family get togethers and general social gatherings. The folks who do not understand nor have a desire to change their lifestyle, look at us as freaks and actually think we have joined a cult or lost our minds. What really hit home recently was when my sister said “I don’t know why you chose this diet-you are going to MISS OUT on so much in life”. That about sums it up. Being single is definitely a gift when living this way. Our community is vital for support and encouragement. Thank you for providing a wonderful forum in which we can support each other.
Thanks, Mark, that means a lot to me
Great little talk and certainly a lot of truth in what you say.
I wanted to say also that many of us are grateful for people like yourself who put themselves out there to help others and keep us all motivated to continue. I am a little more than 4 months in and getting in the groove of things.
Glad to hear that
Good afternoon from Copperhill Tn. I'm running late again, but tuned in for more of your wisdom. Our Supreme Grumpyness!!!😊😊😊😊
You are doubling down on the Williams name lol.
Man, I miss walking the most. Lost my leg in 09 to blood clots, even though I was walking 5 miles a day. I never used my prosthetic much because of up and down weight( prosthetics have to fit just right, like a denture). So in a few months I'll be able to fit in it again, I'll lose more weight, use the socks for the socket to keep it on, then eventually have to be back in my chair as my socket gets too big. While this sucks, it won't keep me from eating what keeps me healthy. I'm scared to wear it again, but I have a goal to wear it for as long as I can. Keep walking folks, and never take that for granted! I'm carnivore one month tomorrow. I feel more hopeful than ever.
I really hope all that works out well for you. You may not walk 5 miles, but even a little would be great.
You can do it!
All the best in this journey.
Be brave and do that prosthetic thing! ❤
You have spoken so many hard truths and I truly appreciate your wisdom. I’m a very healthy 62 year young carnivore woman, 8 months carnivore, I love this new old lifestyle and I hope and pray those loved ones in my life see all the realities you shared about the SAD vs how I’m choosing to live my life! Thank you Mitch!😊
You're welcome, Sandra
For the vast majority of my life i never really paid much attention to my failing health because I was too busy running a business and raising a family. It wasn't until I turned 70 years old and retired that my doc at the VA told me point blank - based on my weight, blood tests, and the myriad of health issues I had I probably wouldn't make it to 75. That was a real wake up call. I didn't work my ass off for 50 years just to die as soon as I retired. After watching some videos by Drs Eric Westman and Ken Berry I went keto for 2 years, then switched to carnivore 2 years ago. I dropped 90 pounds and almost all of my health problems disappeared. I think being hit in the face with your own mortality is enough incentive for some people to change their life. Please folks, don't do what I did for most of my of my life... I ignored my health because I was too busy. Instead watch, learn, and listen. Thanks Mitch, good video as usual.
Well said
@@twofarg0ne763 Excellent mate! You just gotta get the rest of family on board!
If you ever have to 'do the shopping', only buy carnivore compatible food, for example. Just a thought. It may cause friction in the family & with your missus, but, well, you gotta push them towards health somehow huh?
Refuse to eat carbo slop any more if it's cooked for you perhaps, & put up an indignant protest? I dunno, I'm by myself so I don't have to worry; just thinking out loud.
My kids (& ex!) are just across the road, so I have a carnivore dig at them at every opportunity!
@@nevillegoddard4966 I retired to France and the quality of the food here is incredible as they probably have the strictest food laws on the planet. I only buy meat from a local butcher shop that has their own farm in the Alps. Wife is keto/carnivore. Being from South America she likes her fruits. Our kids, I talk to them and they laugh - perhaps they'll get wiser as they get older.
I watch this video to keep me inspired to stay Carnivore and get healthy. I am 31 and want to live a healthy life. Thanks for all you do!
33 about to be 34 here, after whole life of sweet and snack addiction I am starting to come to my senses as my mood and life power is nowhere near where I need it to be.
I have been on this journey for 2 months now with some hiccups, still waiting for the benefits to kick in (I have lost 4kg so far but my energy is not ok)
That's great to hear, Kipp
I think that my mother and her cousins were not fat because they smoked. They could smoke when they felt antsy or bored, etc. Thank goodness millions have stopped smoking. I think that carnivore, keto, low-carb will become more acceptable. We need to put together a very long list of carnivore "party" foods. Garlic shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, etc. There has to be a way for carnivores to bring enough carnivore goodies to a gathering, so we don't eat the wrong stuff offered there. A very long list.
I agree with you, Kathy, I go to a party like that
The younger generation talks about "normalizing" things. We need to denormalize eating things we would never even feed our pets.
That's very true
@@OldGuyCarnivore hey man, got a 77 year old lady that's diabetic and in rough shape. Which 2 of your videos do you recommend for her to watch? Thanks, you make me lol now and then. Wisdom at Its finest.
@@ActivateMission2ThisTimeline My ex boyfriend's father has stage 3 kidney disease and a bunch of other health problems, some of which can be attributed to a lifetime of being a picky eater. It is doubtful he can be convinced that some of the health problems he has can be reversed by a drastic change in his diet and are worth trying to improve his prognosis.

Really spot on Mitch. We often must hit rock bottom before we are willing to change. This is common for most addicts. It’s the rare person who see the future and prepare for it early. I became carnivore 414 days ago at 67 years old and I’ve had some miraculous healing and off of all medication but yes, I wish I’d known about this 30 years ago and the intelligence to follow it.
I started the Carnivore Lifestyle at 66. It's been so good for me! Yes, I wish I would have found it years ago, but grateful I found it when I did!! I was at rock bottom...
Way to go Geoff!!!!! Glad to hear your doing so well. 510 days for me and carnivore saved my life. 😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐮🥓🐑🐷😎👍
It's great to hear that you're doing so well
What hit me was when my feet turned blue last June. That immediately jolted me into the carnivore lifestyle.
Your story is eerily similar to mine.
I went through a painful divorce 12 yrs ago too and have been carnivore for 510 days.
I too found my amazing and wonderful “miss right” girlfriend about 4 months ago and haven’t been this happy, healthy and hopeful in decades.
Thankfully she eats pretty clean, close to Keto (low carb), and she understands and supports my way of eating, so that makes things a lot easier.
I hope that in time, she (and possibly also her son) will consider going keto (or carnivore or ketovore) one day in the future, and experience the physical and mental healing and weight loss that you’ve been able to achieve. 😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐮🐑🥓🐷😎👍
It's great to hear that you're doing so well
Amen Brother!
8 years of changes, my family is distant now, no church potlucks for me, and it alright because I am the only healthy person in my big family 🤓💕.
I’ve learned to keep quiet,🤓
Hi Mitch! Just discovered your channel. Been a carnivore for 2 years. I'm 59 and have been reversing my Type 2 diabetes. Every word you spoke in this video rang with truth. Preach on brother! Subscribed.
Glad you found me!
I'm doing great so far. A1C is 4.8 , good cholesterol is up. Triglycerides are 45. Calcium score may be up. So, I finally cut the chocolate candy bars as much as I loved them and Cheesecakes love the local dairy Cheesecakes but, I have to go all in now. I did a 48 hrs fast first then ate half a roast and 4 eggs. I walked 3 miles mowing and taking my sister her mail. I watch you because I can relate to you and I feel about like you do when I wake up before daylight and go into the kitchen to make coffee or to cook. I walk miles on roads and paths when I am not mowing. I am going to watch on tv.
That's great to hear, Robbie!
“Old Guy Carnivore Wisdom!!!”
I just hit one year carnivoreish(I eat 23 grams of carbs a day). I had to work toward it slowly. It gets really lonely. The rest of my family is not carnivore. I hope this community grows so I can have friends that are carnivore!
Major wake-up call for me recently: how much my life, choices and energy revolves around food. Even if high quality, it is embarrassing to the point of shame. My body has developed in a way I no longer recognize. Sugar is my kryptonite. And that is no way to savor life.
Im in my 70's and Im completely committed to ME and my amazing health as a result of 635 days carnivore. I'm NEVER eating anything but meat because it makes me feel like I'm in my early 30's. Such a wonderful lifestyle. If someone cannot do this, they don't want to be healthy and feel good. Keto is a waste of time for me becayse it allows crap to stay in your life. Im no longer food centric, I'm living a real life.
I also loved the point made about how doctors never ask “What do you eat?” !!! SO TRUE! Not only is this epidemic of metabolic syndrome promoted by the modern American lifestyle, the medical system completely fails us! I pray the low carb doctors who have educated themselves will be successful in their efforts to wake up the system. Every time I see an obese person, I wish they could know what I know. I wish I could help them. Kudos to you Mitch for putting up this channel and all the work you do on it!!!
Thanks, trish, that means a lot to me
The comments in the videos is what got me really hooked. These people aren't making money off their testimonies.
I am 40 now. I ate a meat based paleo diet for 14 years before going more carnivore. I have always done my best to research, read, listen, comment sections, everything to have the empowering knowledge of how to be a healthy human.
I def over indulged in veg, potatoes and nuts on paleo, live and learn. I know Im still way ahead of the curve, still learning and evolving. Carnivore is a simple solution to one of todays massive problems. 👏 ❤
Young people have to try to get some carnivorous community in order to support themselves. You are awesome explaining all this. I am carnivorous almost a year now and thanks God I tucked this decision in my life.
One of the most profound things I brought away from this is, "I walk because I think"
I like that
Truth!
It’s still feels new. It IS new. 5th year of this alternative healthy lifestyle. 53 years SAD prior.
Daily pivots. Planning
Simplicity and improved health is worth it!!!
Hey there Mitch. Jay Cole here coming to you from Oklahoma. I just want to let you know that I’m two weeks into this round of carnivore. Something’s different, I’ve been listening to you and I guess I’m finally ready to be done with the old me. No more self sabotage. I’m ready dude to change my life for good and get well. I’m 52, type 2 diabetic relying on insulin to keep things regulated. I just got fired from my diabetes doctor last month for non compliance even though my A1C was 6.9, which is the best it’s been in ten years. Well I’m going to show him. I’m down from 421 three weeks ago to 400 this morning. I haven’t felt this good in a couple years. The inflammation in my hips, knees, and ankles is almost gone. Oh and haven’t had to take any insulin in the last 9 days. It’s pretty much flatlined slowly fluctuating from 110 to 130. Simply amazing. Ok, sorry about the rant, bless you sir and take the rest of the day off, and eat meat.
That's great, Jay glad to hear it
@@user-ct1jh8in9s Fired by your family doctor lol!😂😂! - Cos he couldn't make enough money out of you! Well excellent! You would have sacked him eventually anyway, with his stinking, profit driven attitude. What a scumbag!
Mitch you NAILED this Podcast today Buddy!😜
I’ve been carnivore since April 15th.
Everything you said is absolutely true.
Nice job!
And take the rest of the day off 😂
Way to go David… stay on course and you’re gonna continue to feel better and better and heal more every day. 😊😊
Thank you so much, David
Mitch this is simply GOLD. I wish all of the big boys on CZcams could help promote this, because everyone needs to follow along to the end. This is exactly right advice!! “I WISH I had started this sooner!!”
Thank you, Rick
Great video! I’m 72 y/o f. My bd is tomorrow. After arguing with 2 young women on Ken Berry’s fb post today, I’m glad I came across your video. It helped make the argument with them easier to take and very affirming for me! BBBEs for 10 months now. Still healing but I’ve had amazing results!
You go! 😊
Thank you, Deborah
Dr. Ken Berry calls the bad food "CARBAGE". Lol 🤣🤣🤣
Watched the full video and took some notes. Thank you, Mitch! I have to say, I am grateful that I am no longer tempted by food at social events, however, it can be awkward as i can't help but notice who is eating the poison, and making judgements about their metabolic health. IYKYK
You're right, David. Once we think like that, we're no longer tempted by that stuff ourselves
Mitch this one was epic. You are a very good communicator and I predict these videos will be watched for a long time. Thanks for doing this. Mother in law is 82 and struggling in a home - its diet related for sure. West in Canada
Thanks, West, nice of you to say
I feel you, brother. I started at 77 and while the dieting, losing weight, feeling better part is pretty easy, I'm having a though time of the exercise part because of bone spurs in my knees. If I could get rid of that problem, I'd feel 40 again. I'm also single which has been tough because I have no support system but easy because there are no temptations in my house so it has been more blessing than curse. Keep up the great work!
I will, thank you
Good job on this video, you hit on everything that trips people up on living this lifestyle. It’s so worth the inconvenience tho. I’m 67 and healthier then everyone around me. This includes my kids and spouse
The 2x speed setting is the way to go.. I'm commenting because Mitch's mission deserves support. And just as a heads up. I slowed down the speed halfway through because this was a GREAT VIDEO.
Mitch....As a 67 year old male you have showed a lot of wise advice. Yes even though I have lost about 25 pounds on a Carnivore diet sugar is an addiction for me. I struggle with that. I'm glad I found your channel and it's nice listening to someone around my age. Best of luck in your Carnivore life style. Best, Duane
Thank you, Duane
Yes !!! I started keto at 70 and carnivore at 75 and I love it so much better .
That's great!
This is an exquisite video. Every one if us here came the HARD WAY.
Thank you, so very much. 🙏❤
Thank you very kindly, it was my pleasure
Excellent talk, Mitch. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm at work now, but will watch this tonight, Mitch.
This was an overwhelming tidal wave of hard TRUTH😢!
I appreciate that
Really enjoyed this and so true, at 66 I have fully committed to this intentional and conscious way of living , I am well thanks to my choices regarding fuel/fuel … I love that once you know, you know, like when I packed up smoking zi have no desire to smoke and put toxic poison in my body - and only the correct fuel - for my body ❤I am so pleased to be FREE , thank you good walk good chat, also inspired me to go on some walks
Mitch, I'm sprinting at an all-comers track meet this evening! My first one ever, I'm 2 years Carnivore and a 1 year sprinter. Everyone gets a free SHAVED ICE for participating! 😂😂😂 lol!!! "May I just have the ice, please?" 😊
I like that, ice with no syrup
❤ WOW! Great talk!!! And SO TRUE!!!!
Thank you, Julie
That was a great video, Mitch, and very important points. Thank you.
Very welcome
Love your videos and they are never too long for me as every minute is inspiring! The most difficult challenge is the social aspect, when my relatives go for cake and ice cream desert after the meal I just refill my plate with more meat to socially join in!
Excellent video Mitch! I watched the whole thing and shared it with a friend. I was at Sam’s today and you were in my head again! All the crap food is staggering! I am so sick of them only stocking “NONFAT” Greek yogurt! When will this nonfat stupidity end? Loved your comment in the video about how we no longer see butcher shops, but oh do we see doughnut shops, fast food and places that push sugar. You are so spot on! I am grateful I discovered this lifestyle to save my health at the age of 66, but like everyone else, I wish I had known about it 30+ years ago!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, Trish
How can we ever get too much of you Mitch....no adverts was just the dare i say 'the icing on the cake!!! I found living on my own for 12 yrs (after divorcing and my kids all grown up) was a pretty happy time and so much easier to control the food in your house and your belly when its just you to consider. however it was only the last 3 yrs of that 12 that i was eating keto.! roll forward to now, 8 yrs later i am carnivore, but in a relationship and my misses and her son who is 30 eat crap all the time, i am fortunate that i am in the zone and very focussed on losing the weight so currently dont get tempted.
That's true once you get really adapted to carnivore the distractions shouldn't really throw you off
Hello, I subscribed to your channel after seeing your interview on Homestead How with Kerry. I love your honesty (and your shirt)!

Thanks Mitch! Good talk; you’ve inspired me 🙂
Thanks Mitch as a now 73 YO one year in I know exactly what you’re talking about with social activities. I can pass on all the crap food and I do feel sorry for everyone filling there literal pie holes.
