Now let’s look at and explain the most common labels listed on eggs.
    Egg Labels Explained:
    Conventional eggs:
Means the chickens are factory farmed and fed an unnatural diet of grains.
    Free range eggs:
Means the chickens may have the option of going outside, but it does not guarantee they actually go outside. This possibly means the eggs contain more Vitamin D if the chickens do roam out under the sun.
    Cage free eggs:
Means the chickens are not raised in a cage, but may still be raised indoors in a small crowded space.
    Omega-3 enriched eggs:
These eggs are similar to conventional eggs, however the chicken’s feed is supplemented with omega-3s. This produces eggs that are much higher in heart healthy essential omega-3s fatty acids and lower in inflammation producing omega-6 fatty acids.
    Pasture-raised eggs:
Chickens are free to roam outside. They eat grass and other forage, with some commercial feed. These eggs contain a higher level of vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and omega-3s
    Organic eggs:
These are chickens who were not given hormones. They were fed an organic feed.

So we paid attention when egg-shopping today. We got pasture-raised eggs, thanks to your videos! They are priced higher, like 9.99 for a dozen and 12.99 for 18, but it’s worth it!

What???? Freilandhaltungs Eier (basically German pasture raised eggs) cost 3-4€ at most for 10x 🤷🏽‍♂️😮 why are they so pricey in the states? 🫣 This sadly Ensures that many cannot afford them 😔

    • @livloved
      @livloved Před 10 měsíci +17

The ones in the black box are not organic but Vital Farms does have an organic option in a brown box and they are pasture-raised! At most stores, they charge upwards of 10 dollars a dozen for them but I get mine at Walmart for five dollars! hope this helps :)

    Organic eggs dont mean mich
    Nor does pasture raised
The only way they make sense it together
And yeah omega 3 enriched feed just has trace amounts of omega 3
But they may be convential eggs
But with their feed enriched in omega 3 on paper
But thats very very very low
It is like calling 1 gram protein bar protein rich

@@Israel-fights-for-World-Peace as someone who is in the livestock business and someone who knows the laws and regulations regarding it. I can say for a fact that everything you’ve said is false. Antibiotics are only used as a corse of treatment for sick livestock and is not legal to sell animal products that test positive for antibiotics. Growth hormones are against the law to use for livestock as well in the United States but actually not in other countries. And your last point you tried to make is completely false there is no GMO livestock being sold in the United States for consumption. Pull your head out of your hind end and actually do some research.

You are not giving us all the information, or you just don't know. You didn't do any research research. You didn't research that giving the chickens organic grains, load up the eggs and meat with lectins, the cause of leaky gut. All you are talking about is omega3's. Vital farms doesn't give the chickens grains, they have special non grain food for them in the winter.

ponder how dumb are we.. letting chickens decide for themselves and if they don't go outside, oh well that's not our fault so we should still use a very obvious label. it's a bit deceiving in a way dontcha think.

Yolk color has a lot to do with diet. Some diets can lead to a reddish yolk, and some can lead to a green yolk!
