If any chelsea fan called torres a flop, they are not actually a chelsea fan. Torres can never be a flop at Chelsea with that #1 goal in his pocket. Maybe bitter fan from other clubs in disguised.

He was a beast at Liverpool... Chelsea bought him to be a prolific goal scorer.....he was not....so that's why he was considered to be a flop...
@@onenessvijay2566 He's been doing much better during Benitez's run Mourinho didn't seem to like him that much and preferred Eto'o, Ba to him, while the teamwork was built heavily on attacking midfielders such as Oscar, who kept scoring goals instead of strikers. But yes, he could've been doing much better himself.
@@onenessvijay2566 He was a menace in Liverpool, earlier with Atletico and Spain's national team. Then the knee injury hurt him. But he continued to be an impact player but with less goals.

joseph 476 Chelsea would have gone through due to an away goal but at that point the game, barca looked like they could score at any moment. His goal came out of nowhere and confirmed our place in the final.

Every Monday I thought his performances weren't too bad, he just didn't manage to convert the chances in the PL He was one of the biggest reasons why we won the Europa League, and not only the goal in the final and the goal against Barca, he came on agains Bayern Munich and won us that corner that Drogba scored from. I'll always remember him as a great Chelsea player.
He was never as good as we hoped he would be. But we love him anyways because he always gave his all when he played and he played for the badge! Thank you Nino for your contribution too winning both the Champions league and Europa league

Not flop. Just overpriced. He's form was already dipped in his final days in Liverpool. They decided to sell him big. And Chelsea needed him at the time. It's not his fault that the club sold him off like that.

Man this makes me feel so old it takes me back to my early teens when we had those 2011-14, since then we've had like 2 generations of players change and still remember it like it was yesterday. Ramires,Mikel,Cahill,Oscar,Mata,Schurrle.... those were the days.

Oscar had that thing in him. He always popped up at the right place at the right time and scored important goals. His positional awareness offensively was brilliant. I miss Oscar too.

When Torres scored that goal in Camp Nou, i forgot the pain, heartaches of the Champions league semi final 2009. We took our revenge against Barca in their own backyard.

Barca goal 1st touch was immaculate and taking around the keeper sublime. But the chest down 1-2 against Newcastle with follow up outside of the right foot was a wonderful goal. He got a hard time from some blues fans but I always liked him play. Great player.

So much feels... I always love Torres. He needed a team around him and TBF, you could tell he was feeling a lot of pressure from Lampard, who was a goal monster in midfield. Any striker would have felt the pressure. Even Drogba couldn't shine as much when Lamps was in his pomp.

I think it's not just that he was better at Liverpool, it's that he scored more goals in his first season at Liverpool than he did in the entire time he was at Chelsea. He went from having a better than one every two games record for scoring to having a worse than one every five games record. I've never seen a player drop in quality quite so horrifically as he did.

He brought us luck in Europe which we badly needed. He was always working very hard even though the goals werent coming. Looks like he has played for so many years- Athletico first spelling and then for Liver pool and then for us , on loan at Milan and back with us and again for Athletico and looks like he has some years left in him at top flight clubs.
