I'm glad he won't be remembered as a meme. He was truly brilliant, and is underrated during his time at Chelsea to an extent considering he was still recovering from injuries. One of the best Spainish number 9s of all time. Thanks for the goals.

I am a Liverpool fan, but I must say my favorite goal he ever scored was that volley against Betis. (Number 17 on this list.) What a beautiful and insanely difficult goal, to stretch like that after leaving your feet and still control it perfectly into the top far corner, unreal instincts. The keeper didn’t even see it.
The number one goal is special too. To control the ball like that with the bottom of your foot intentionally making it bounce so you can delicately bike it into the far side netting...dream goal.
The first goal he scored for Liverpool as well has a special place in my heart. I was watching it live. It was against Chelsea. The goal in which he easily rounds Benhaiin before slotting past Cech off the far post and in. I was thinking this guy will be fun to watch, and he will terrorize opponents. His partnership with Gerrard was the stuff of legend.
The goals against Inter sand Arsenal in the Champions League I remember fondly as well. Back to goal in both instances but he knows where it is. Superb finisher in the box. He loved playing against the big teams in the biggest games too.

But as far as having it all...Technique/Speed(b4 he lost it)/Strength/Reading of the Game/Body Control/Being able to use opponents' momentum against them...Torres was the Ideal Striker. One of the most underrated aspects of his game was how he never forced the ball...he always worked WITH it....He would let it take a little extra bounce or roll, he was almost Unorthodox!
