This guy.. cant tell you how much I miss him! There is no similar striker out there today! He is the full package: no nonsense mentality, great touch, dribbling, pace, strength, tall, good in the air, poacher, long shot taker, really you name it and he has it! You can play counter attacks with him, hold up play, positional play, EVERYTHING! Only one weakness, injury prone unfortunately. If he wasnt injured that season he would have scored 35 goals in the PL easily. He was better than Haaland or any other striker you can think of nowadays.

That goal vs West Brom should be 1st, the way he bullies the defender and finishes it into the corner is really difficult.

Completely agree, any time I think of Costa I think of that West Brom goal and to a lesser extent the arsenal one. The West Brom goal was iconic
I was at this game and no one saw it coming at all. He can make something out of nothing and that's truly the signs of a world-class striker.
The thing that made Diego Costa legendary at Chelsea is that he wanted the smoke. A striker that relished being physical and never hid nor ran from adverse conditions.(On The Pitch, lol)

I have supported Chelsea since 1995. Selling Costa and Robben are 2 of the biggests mistakes in the club's history probably.
You could argue the same for De Bruyne and Salah, but the difference is, those 2 were not setting the world alight while they were at Chelsea.
Costa and Robben were among the best players we had and performing well, but were still sold. Diego is a warrior that could take on anyone. I miss that presence at the club.
Mata as well. He fell off when he moved to United but he was our best player 2 years running
@@Exelias yup, he was The Special Juan. Absolutely loved Mata but Jose has a history of destroying playmakers. Kaka, Mata and Dele Alli. Mata had 20 goals and 30 assists in his second season if I'm not wrong. That statistic is absolutely world class and elite level
