You can rotate around the z-axis with + and - on the numpad.
My keyboard doesn't have a numpad, and the + and - keys in the number row don't work either, is there a workaround for this?
ChuggersLR pick the ghost block mode and then you can rotate it with the arrowup and arrowdown buttons
@@ChuggersLR On Windows you could try WIN+CTRL+O to get a virtual keyboard (activate numpad in the bottom right there)

I’ve been looking around but can’t seem to find how to turn off the “connector bubbles” for precise placement closely between two official blocks, any help would be appreciated
Does anyone know, I can't find answers anywhere, on PC you can freely move building pieces really close to track pieces no problem but on console it prevents you from doing so. So, on corner track pieces I have holes I can't fill with anything. So if I put grass all around the track, the inside and outside egdes of corners are unable to place close to. Any help? Thank you.
How do I inverse a track piece, like some transitional curves.

Hello, I have a question - how to get a booster block but without those side panels? Simply just a plain flat booster block.

Super helpful, thanks a lot! I have an issue, when you press "create a new map" you get the options to chose either keyboard or gamepad. I doesn't get that option, it automatically chooses gamepad and I can't find a way to choose keyboard... (There is also a text under "Create a new map" that says: "Quick start is enabled". Do you think that has something to do with it?...
Yes check the options and disable quick start

Damn I had more than 300h mapping on tm2 and tried on tm 2020 for about 30h, and the automatic snap on free mode made me so mad I didn't know about the press shift to ignore snaps

How do I move the entire track I've created up or down? The cut & paste doesn't seem to be adjustable in height with the scroll wheel.
scroll only works when no block in the selection is connected to the ground
nice! is there a way, when copy and pasting, to paste the blocks higher or lower or am i screwed? I tried placing a platform so that the selection would be forced to go one block higher but it did not work like that
If your selection contains ground blocks it doesn't work. Try deleting those first

yeah you can use the copy paste tool for that and copy a whole map into another one!
What does the little letter mean by track? Like "P" or "PR"
Did you find an answer? I just got the game and I'm curious what these letters are supposed to mean.

The simple one is free, the advanced one is in the 10€ edition and will stay even after 1 year

If I cut a part of the Track with the Cut/Copy Tool. How i can change the height of all cut objects at ones?
Good question: I found that if your selection touches the ground it is not possible, otherwise use the scroll wheel as usual.

@@claptonisgodofblues Try turning the selection into a macroblock, that solved alot of my issues with copy and pasting

Ich würde gerne Custom Sounds im Editor benutzen. Ich habe schon ein Sound FX angelegt, aber sehe keine Option eigene Sounds einzubinden. Müsste aber gehen, weil ich es auf anderen Maps schon gesehen hatte. :)
Die Sounds müssen in .ogg Format sein

in free mode, how do i clip my block to an already existing block?
i can't seem to find that
A free block mode block will try to clip to another free block mode block. A free block mode block will not clip to a non-free block mode block, so for transitions you have to just place the first free block mode block carefully
Did they disable the custom URL feature for billboards? It doesn't show up in my track editor at all when using skinning mode - just a blank space between "OK" and "Cancel" :(

When I select part of the track, copy or cut this track, how do I move this track up, so it is not on the ground, but one click high?
That only works if you have no ground variant blocks selected unfortunately

TM2020 editor.... Is there a way to do following:
- ban respawning on certain checkpoint?
- ban preparing damage from fragile on checkpoint?
- I read on credit about worn tires, is there way to do it ? how?

Why can't I succeed the first step lol. I've got a huge problem, i cant do validation. The flag is yellow, but when I click on it, checkpoints and Finish have no effect. And the timers continue unless im going back to etidor mode with Esc.
Also the Clock is not white and at the bottom of the screen like in game and like you, but ive got a yellow timer on the top of the screen.
If someone could help me pls, would be so nice. Also i cant change checkpoints group it says " Wrong Map Type", but i touched nothing in the map type
Sorry I have never experienced what you are describing, maybe create a new map as a test to see if it is the case there too?

Just started on Playstation and couldn't make half the shapes I wanted to and couldn't place track next to eachother that clearly fit well together. Watched this and now see that the editor is heavily limited on Playstation.
His voice and accent kind of reminds me of kaspersmc, just a higher pitch

Good video. Definitely learned some new stuff. But does anyone know if there is a way to select a block that has been placed already and then edit its position from where it currently is?
Strg + click on a random BLock you can select him
And not forget with the loc file with the musik and sign's

Nettes Tutorial. Könntest du sowas auch für die Benutzerdefinierten Blöcke machen? Ich habe da einige schwierigkeiten dort richtig zu Navigieren. Ich bekomme zurzeit nichtmal eine normale Skalierung aller Layer hin, geschweige denn das arbeiten mit Auslösern oder verformen usw. Finde bislang auch keine einfache Erklärung im Internet. Wäre mega hilfreich :)
Ist auf meiner Liste sobald ich Zeit habe mich da einzuarbeiten :)

ok so I can copy and paste sections and move them anywhere EXCEPT VERTICALLY????!!!! WTF So only solution is to remake the entire thing again -_- Surely there has to be a way
If your selection was in the air you can move it vertically. If a block is on the ground, the game doesn't allow you to move it vertically because these are different block models (there's ground and air) and the game doesn't manage to convert them for you.
