Yea same… I always wonder how to introduce players into the map and always when I build a start I feel like it doesn’t fit the track after it and then it feels kinda random…

Nice tips! I hope to maybe see more videos in a series like this with mapping tips cause this video described starts alone very well! I'd love to see stuff like track types, transitions, surfaces, etc. Keep up the good work m8!

I'm ride or die reactor start over booster start any day. Reactor down gives you a much more natural & consistent but equally aggressive acceleration, as well as allows for lots of interesting driving possibilities

Yeah reactor is awesome! When using reactor, you also have to be extra careful about cuts or getting extra speed from a well-timed air brake. But yeah I love it when a grass track starts with reactor :D

Personal opinion: U-turn is the only start I wouldn't consider to be a good start because you don't see where to go and what to expect after it until you pass it. In most other cases you see at least few blocks ahead of you, but with U-turn it feels almost like playing with Tweaker with rendering distance set to 1 block.
I'm fine with everything else. Thank you for the video, it might be helpful.

Great question! You can download custom items from Item Exchange. Put them in your Documents/TrackMania/Items folder, then restart the game. item.mania.exchange/
