When you want to engage your pto you just have to put your foot on the clutch and wait a few seconds then you should be able to engage it with ease. Also most trucks have a secondary cable attached to the throttle so you can set your idle speed for your pump typically between 700 and 1000 rpm. love your content looking forward to more tow truck shenanigans 😂
Was gonna say the same. We use older grain trucks and you need to use the clutch to engage disengage the PTO

@@carlosmagdaleno3248pretty sure the PTO power is based on rpms not HP. It'll turn it easier but still need the rpms for flow
Yep. When I engage PTO’s on semi trucks I just clutch in, engage, clutch out. If I need more RPM I set cruise control and that holds the RPM steady and I can bump it up a hundred RPM at a a time.
@@carlosmagdaleno3248 PTO pumps are designed to operate between 700-1200rpm. over revving them is also damaging... but I doubt they care about operating any tow truck correctly, why start now...

I spent quite a few years building the rotor blades and composite fuel pods for the CH47 Chinook in Philadelphia. I could never forget that sound of eight blades beating the air into submission. When I was building the blades they cost the army around $250,000 per rotor blade times 8.

Put a second cable from the PTO lever to the throttle so when you engage the PTO the engine idles up to compensate for the load on the PTO 😊🤙🏼😀 good work boyz

I just wanted to say Extreme Thank You for posting the longer videos like you have been. I have been at home recovering from a shattered femur and broken hip for the past 4 yrs and I look forward to your videos so hard-core. We thought my leg/hip had been healing good so I went to welding school (Stick, Mig & Tig) all of 2023 and rode a electric scooter the whole way rain or shine to save money for when I could start working. I went to get cleared by my Dr in January to start a new career in welding and I found out i have Osteoporosis, the neck and ball of my femur had lost blood flow and the ball of my femur died and has collapsed. Now I'm going to need a hip replacement and won't be able to start working for the rest of the year. The goal I set back in 2023 was to drive my self to the Freedom Factory from Maryland to Florida( since I havent had the money to get my licence back since I got hurt) to see a race in person after all these years. That will have to be postponed but that is still the goal at the top of my list just the date has changed. I hope you keep posting the longer videos they help more then I can even explain. Extreme High Five for basically being the coolest dudes on the planet. Have a super awesome day everyone.

FYI as well yall should hook up a high idle cable with the PTO engage lever to help with the dying under load thing, and you can absolutely take the PTOs in and out with the engine running, just have to depress the clutch and have a decent clutch brake. Keep it up guys. Awesome content

We added those to our mechanic shop but way bigger ones from Sysco. Just buy the sealant needed for the roof cuz they will eventually leak by the rivets. Happy for you boiz outgrowing the shop which show signs of growth & in the right path. ✅️

I was laughing at the hood thing as well since he unbolted the SPRING hinge that holds it up FIRST. Had he unbolted just the hinge first it would have still been held up kind of.
