Great video, thanks a lot from northern Norway :)
Happy to help , thanks for watching!
Great video, the only thing you didn’t mention was the oil filter gasket on the old filter and not checking to see if it’s still on the motor. I had an issue with mine the oil gasket from filter stayed on the motor and I put the new filter on oil went everywhere when I started it. Just my lesson I learned. Not much of a mechanic in nature
Thanks for watching Bob!! And yes for sure that's a great point, I always am in the habit of checking for the gasket but definitely should have mentioned it in the video for sure . Cheers
Wow! Super detailed and full info thanks! Can you do one regarding the chaincase oil change? Or tell me how to proceed? Thanks!
Thanks for watching, I look forward to posting a Video of the chaincase as well, unfortunately it won't be this year as I've already had it done but will do it in the summer . For now check out this video it shows how to do it as well czcams.com/video/oaKWVzTceG8/video.html
Thank for the fast response and wow... I was hoping that there was another way than dismantle everything like sucking up the oil instead 😉
You maybe be able to pump the oil out like you said just not sure if you'll get all of it out , it's the kind of thing you do oil and chaincase at the same time which is what I'm going to do next year for sure , stay tuned for that video and subscribe so you don't miss it , cheers bud
@@JPhilippe.Proulx the dealer told me the suction it out like they do with the oil wish we knew this before we did it the hard way
Personally I feel it's better to split the chaincase so that you can inspect it also and do any required maintenance.
Good info but wondering which bolt you removed for 2nd drain at the bottom
It's the drain bolt , you should be able to see it in the video , I can send you a pic if you need ?
So helpful
Glad it helped and thanks for watching and subscribe if you enjoy the content, cheers
Did yours have a plastic bellypan that covers the bottom hatch? Mine does, I have to remove it to get to the bottom screws on the right footwell guard aswell.
No plastic cover on mine.
@@MoreToysMoreNoise Thanks for the reply. Mine has a belly pan skidplate you have to take off first and it’s kind of a pain in the butt.
@@NE_RAW_MTB A pain in the ass but good to have the extra protection underneath.
Where did you get the dipstick? I have a sight glass but would like a dipstick also.
The sight glass is for your chain case oil and if you remove your oil cap it has a dipstick on it to check your oil. Thanks for watching!
I have a real dumb question man. So does the engine and chain case share the same oil? I was under the impression the chain case has its own oil and engine has its own. Can you or anyone please correct me?
All good man ,nope the engine oil is specific and the chaincase is also specific. For the engine i use the cat/Yamaha engine oil and for chaincase i use Amsoil synthetic chaincase oil . Cheers and thanks for watching!
Where's the Yamaha Viper as said in title of video?!?
ZR 7000 is the same sled as the Viper
I can't believe you have to take all that stuff off to simply "check" the oil.
Gotta love AC/Yamaha engineering 😂😂😂
@@MoreToysMoreNoise LOL - I still love them though. Still easier than my RX1 ahaha - great video as I picked up a 16' Viper - new sub here!
Thanks appreciate the support 🙏. Enjoy the Viper my friend!
