I loved the Vigor Bottles and I love the Lutece Figures. I can't afford any of them, but I love them. I would guess that the vast majority of fans are in the same situation. Expensive to make and priced out of most people's budgets. So why did Irrational go out of business?

These sort of things especially limited editions can go up in value were your console will not, possibly it will but highly unlikely.
In short they are an investment.
